I have used this for 2 weeks and it truly is a game changer. We don’t use backing tracks so creating dynamics through the song is seamless with the transition snapshot. A little prep before the main service and you can cover effortlessly. Thank You!!!
I primarily alternate between drums & electric guitar on Sundays. But on those Sundays when I’m not on for either of those, I play backup keys. (We have a dedicated piano player.). Sunday Keys has enabled me to sound like a great keyboard player, even though my keys skills are mediocre at best. Thanks David, great app!

Awesome update! @Sunday Sounds will there be song specific patches coming to the iPad app at some point? This new Patch Snapshots update seems like it would be perfect for use with song specific patches...our church has a pretty good sized library of your song specific patches and losing those is the only thing keeping us from moving to the iPad app with our next upgrade in a couple months 😀
We will be bringing a great song specific patch experience to the App! Snapshots and Snapshot Transitions are a big part of what will make the experience in the App the best possible song patch experience. We have some further development to do still, so no timeline yet but stay tuned.
I love the snapshot transitions feature!….but can we PLEEAAASE get individual track mutes and solo’s!!????? Just for me!! 😁

The main question I have and what I’m debating between setting up mainstage with the sunday keys template and just getting the sunday keys app is whether I can load in any other software instruments to the sunday keys app. I know that’s probably not true on iPad but is that a possibility yet on mac? I just do really think this feature would be amazing but if I have to choose between this and customizing software instruments that’s gonna be a tough choice!
The whole setup has me sold!. It's basically a line 6 helix pedalboard for keys. It's insane! Im thinking about getting this but my question is I do not use MainStage or Ableton I use multitracks and I was curious if I bought song specific patches for MainStage and Ableton can I still use the Sunday keys iPad app with those patches I bought for MainStage?
Great question, currently Song Specific Patches are only available for the MainStage and Ableton Live formats, we're in active development to bring Song Specific Patches to the App, but it will still be a while and we don't have a timeline yet.

Is there a way to change the individual notes being played in an ambient pad chord? In each droning pad key, there are some chords in that key that won't sound right with the droning pad. For example, in the key of C, only 1 and 5 chords really sound good. But some other chords in the keys of C do not work with the ambient pad. If there is a way that I can change the individual notes being played in the chord then I could make it more simple, but I would work with more chords in that key.

Hi ! With dummy clips, clips envelope, instrument rack and chain selector you can do the same in ableton.
Yep, that's absolutely true! If one is able and willing to take on that level of programming, you can automate these sorts of transitions in Ableton Live, but only if you're willing to dive under the hood and put in the effort.
We're glad to have Patch Snapshots simple, intuitive, and flexible so even beginner volunteers can handle programming these kinds of complex things :)
@SundaySounds what ipad holder do you use please? Looking for one that can screw directly onto a mic stand, but getting mixed reviews.

Hi Tony, all you need to do is download the App from the App Store, and make a free account on our website to login to the App, then you can try it out in demo mode.
Hi I've seen that Sunday Keys focus is now on Ipad App. I've used Ipad for playing keys since 2014, and after all these years, finally, I bought macbook air m1 Just to be able for playing keys on Mainstage. I was thinking to get Sunday Keys for mac but it seems that the Sunday Keys for mac has been left for later before the Ipad App.
Hi Fernando, we release an update each month for the MainStage and Ableton Live formats of Sunday Keys, so far from being left behind :) We are also planning to bring the stand-alone SK App format to the Mac as well, hopefully sometime early next year.
I have a MacBook Air how can control snapshots with touching on the MacBook keyboard?
Is it applicable to Macbook version of MainStage ?
Question though, can the snapshot feature and all these transition automation affect the static Pad feature on the left. Like say building dynamics and change the tonic note for it etc.
Hey Michael, thanks for your question. Snapshots are separate from the Tonic Pad Player by design. You can use the Patch Lock feature for Tonic to force it to adopt settings when you select a specific Patch, though :)
@@SundaySounds thanks for the reply. It would really be nice for the snapshots to be able to change tonic note key for the tonic pad and BMP etc as certain songs can have different key or tempo for the bridge, chorus etc.
Is there a way you could maybe port this app to Apple Silicon Macs in the future?
We're working on a desktop version. We hope to support both Silicon and some Intel Macs :)
I would like to ask a question - looking at Ipad M1 Pro or M2 pro - what are the main advantages - hoping M1 will more than suffice - say with 256gb storage or poss 512gb - also best stands for ipad pro and recomendations for usbc hubs to link all together - I have a focusrite audio interface 616 or logic pro - guessing I can run this also with an ipad on sunday keys? - thanks - I am a licended user so far of mainstage - thanks for any advice..TG

It needs midi cc so we can control the patch changes from onsong…
It also would be nice to have a mute switch for every part so we don’t have to manually adjust the volume of each part to mute it when using a nanokontrol or the iPad screen.
Hi Rob, thank you for the feedback! The App does receive Midi, including Bluetooth and Network Midi. And you can receive Midi from other Apps such as OnSong. We don't have documentation on that currently, but you can contact us if you need any assistance setting that up. sundaysounds.com/contact
@@SundaySounds I did contact you actually and just received a cut and paste answer that wasn’t helpful at all… 🙄 I’ve been trying to get the midi to work with onsong and had more experienced guys in the Facebook onsong group trying to help but we haven’t had any success so far... We got many other apps to work with onsong for preset changes but not luck with Sunday keys…
It would be awesome if you guys can put a little video on that for us… I’ve been using your app and want to support you guys, specially as a small Christian developer, so I’m sure you guys will get that straightened up for us!

The SK App doesn't yet support Program Change messages for changing Patches but it is on our short term roadmap. In the meantime you can Midi Learn to the "Prev" and "Next" buttons in the Midi Learn area of the App. Please do reply back to the support email you sent in if you need more help, we'll be sure you get a response tailored to your specific situation.

I have a question. I’m using an 1st gen iPad Pro and I downloaded the demo version just to try it out before pulling the trigger on the full version and package. I feel a strong latency when playing with my Roland A-88 MIDI controller. Could I be doing something wrong? Could it be my iPad not being strong enough for the app?

Is there any way to step from one Snapshot to the next using a footpedal?
Yes, you can assign the Snapshots to a Midi foot controller using Midi Learn. The App also supports Bluetooth and Network Midi.
Is it available for Sunday Keys Mainstage?
Patch Snapshots are only available in the App.

This app is amazing but i can't figure out how to change the tempo with the patch, is this possible?

what happens if you don't hit the button in time with the click?
As long as you're relatively close it should still be fine for most transition types. You can always jump to another transition if you need to by simply tapping it, or manually 'take-over' any control by touching it.

The App is not available for Windows. All the sounds in the App are also part of the Sunday Keys Ableton Live Template (included in a Sunday Keys License) which will run on a Mac or PC.

Sorry, we have no plans to release an Android version.

For now, the Sunday Keys App is only available for iPad, though we are working on adding Mac support for the Sunday Keys App and hope to have more info on that soon!

With Sunday Keys installed on your iPad, often you can click on the Shared Setlist link to launch and import the Setlist. You can also import a Shared Setlist by opening the Setlist Browser by tapping the arrow next to the Set's name, tapping "Import Setlist", entering the link in the field, then tapping "Load Setlist". support.sundaysounds.com/hc/en-us/articles/5876127704471
