I lived in South Florida for years and always listened to you and Neil Rogers on radio. You guys got me through many tough times at work down there. I remember Neil used to call you the Humper. Rip Hank, Neil and Jorge you guys left us way too soon 🙏🏇🏈
I lived in South Florida for years and always listened to you and Neil Rogers on radio. You guys got me through many tough times at work down there. I remember Neil used to call you the Humper. Rip Hank, Neil and Jorge and also Mad Dog Jim Mandich alright Miami!!!. You guys left us way too soon 🙏🏇🏈
I am looking at Dan and could not recognize him until I saw a pic from the past. Listened to IOD during Neil Rogers and Hank Goldberg among others. Le bastard used to be used for you. They never really hated anybody but enjoyed calling people names. The 90's brings back a lot of memories to me about that place in time. AM radio was all I listened to. Now I listen to I heart radio. It seems like all those radio personalities of the past are gone. Suds, Neil, George, the bird, not to mention the old 560 staff who were already old at the time. I am sorry to hear Hank is gone. Part of that time in my life is gone. When you listen to someone everyday for 3 hours, they become "friends".
NEIL was god in south Florida radio and the fact you played 2 clips cemented the fact he was the legend that he was. As much as you hate him he was number 1 in entertaining radio. Something that is now a past time.
Back in the good ole days when Witty was on the show and Tony didn't have a mic to kill the vibe with his quick couple of words to try and fit it in because everyone is being funny and he isn't smart enough to catch up to everyone else
facts!! Remember Neil Rogers on Howard David? Nobody lol took it like Howard David. Neil is a legend and he made these guys shook really hard that after 20 years they're still crying about it
All the old hank people are commenting on this youtube video on their computers typing their responses with two pointer fingers while their glasses keep falling off their face
Was starting to get upset about the bashing of Hank Goldberg, but after listening to entire show, I understand the sensibility and context of entire panel with StuGotz and LeBetard.
These guys laughing in public after someone's death is a testament to the vitriol South Florida Radio had during Dan's rise. It's a amazing that Dan fought through all of that to achieve his climb. Using the Stugotz nickname that The Hammer coined was Dan's passive aggressive way of flipping him off. He stole his bit and rubbed it in his face.
I don’t know any of the personal details but Hoch went to either 560 or 940 to be the lead guy on their morning show and as of last year (when I last lived in south FL) he was still on local radio
I loved the way Goldberg and Rogers called Dan out. I would have loved living in South Florida back then instead of listening to our mediocre local sports talk here in Baltimore.
Loved listening to Hank. He got me started on sports radio back in 1994. I remember faxing in questions about Harold Miner. Tbh Dan had a lot of stupid contrarian columns that deserved to be bashed. I was not a fan of Neil Rogers because he wasn’t a sports show but you gotta be honest about the ratings. They didn’t just go down because of how the ratings were counted. The FCC changed a lot about how things got on air in the early 2000s and as a result the station was more strict in how much leeway he had. I remember towards the end he was basically just reading the newspaper from his apartment in Toronto as sort of a protest to how handcuffed he was. So congrats on beating that in the ratings lol
I got scared for a sec. I had read the title wrong. Lol (Edit): I didn't know who dan was, until he started on pti and ARtH. I used to get him and Jay Mariotti mixed with each other. At that time, both had the same haircut and both were clean shaving.
The fuck Dan… tell us the stories about how Hank Goldberg played defense on your career! Enlighten the fans in the West Coast like myself, who knows nothing about the back story.
When I was growing up in NE Ohio, every night for a decade I listened to Pete Franklin's Sportline on 1100 WWWE out of Cleveland. He was acerbic, rude, cut off callers, called them idiots, had a yearly funeral episode when he would bury the Cleveland Indians for the rest of the season (and that station had the Indians games on it!). When I moved to Orlando in 1979, sports radio there was nothing, since there were no pro sports teams....then I moved to West Palm Beach from 1988-1992....and found Neil Rogers and Hank Goldberg...it was like going back in time. Once again I could be entertained with these loud, rude, obnoxious people talk sports (sometimes) and make fun of anyone who deigned to have an opinion even slightly different from their idea of the truth. Yeah, it was a different time....probably past it's prime....and since S Fl at the time basically had just one pro team then, they got away with crap even Pete Franklin didn't, especially swearing. To me, they were entertaining, but you could hear they weren't really very good people in how vicious they could be at times when you REALLY set them off. It was what it was, they were who they were....they were successful, but it wouldn't fly now....even Howard Stern isn't as batshit crazy and outrageous as he once was...and he's on satellite radio.
Stugotz is dead wrong about Hank being jealous of Dan cause he saw him as a threat. Hank diliked Dan way before he was doing radio part time with Espn/WQAM. Hank disliked Dan cause Dan was a microphone for guys like TO and Ricky Williams. Hank also disliked Barry Jackson and Barry was no threat. Mike trying to say Hank was racist towards cubans is just BS. Dan and co should have done this show 20 years ago. Also Neil rogers wasn't racist either but figures Mike is from that PC culture where everything negative towards somebody is seen racist. Calling Neil Rogers racist is like calling Howard Stern racist. They took shots at everybody including their own people and Neil has said harsh jokes about the gays too when he was gay. So Mike stop making stuff up to fit ur narrative.
😂 “Send Dan LeBastard back to Cuba” Hahaha Gangster teams 😂 He never met a gangster he didn’t like. 😂 Boy those were the good ole days. Sorry for your loss.
Neil Rogers blasted everybody!! lol Howard David for example but I guess that makes Neil racist rowards jews. I miss Neil, had no idea these guys still felt this salty after what 2 decades ago? Also RIP Hank the Hammer Goldberg. Top 5 stuff he loved to talk about was race track stuff lol brutal stuff but I loved his football stuff
So its funny that Hank struggled on his last south fla show? I think that was when he was working 790 part time. I hope the day comes when all the guys on this show get really old or dies that people take a dump on you. Hank made you guys work hard to beat him. This whole thing was bad taste when this was what over 20 years ago?
Dan can not take criticism and holds a grudge he did the same thing to Don Shula after Shula took him to task for something he wrote. Everything Dan said yesterday he should have said years ago why wait until someone dies?
I'm glad you brought up the Shula thing. Something to remember is Hank looked up to Shula and Joe Robbie. Probably another reason Hank disliked the smart cocky Dan
Classic Dan move to throw rocks and hide his hands. Regardless of what Hank said which most people have never heard, this is in incredibly poor taste a day after the guy died, but hey if you get clicks.....
Stugotz is a living legend! Look it up!
How ‘bout that!
Shouts to mike for becoming all of us and asking the right questions when talking to stugotz about the whole backstory
Been listening to Local Radio for 25+ years, I LOVE to hear the behind the scenes and the Radio Wars. Still Miss #NeilGod!
Yes fun times back then on the the radio. Miss those guy so much.
I lived in South Florida for years and always listened to you and Neil Rogers on radio. You guys got me through many tough times at work down there. I remember Neil used to call you the Humper. Rip Hank, Neil and Jorge you guys left us way too soon 🙏🏇🏈
"Hank Goldberg DIED hating you" Stugotz miraculously made peace with him with NOOOOO WAY to confirm if it is true, classic Stugotz...
I was thinking the same thing and thought Billy would call him out 😅
I lived in South Florida for years and always listened to you and Neil Rogers on radio. You guys got me through many tough times at work down there. I remember Neil used to call you the Humper. Rip Hank, Neil and Jorge and also Mad Dog Jim Mandich alright Miami!!!. You guys left us way too soon 🙏🏇🏈
This might have been the funniest eulogy ive ever heard 😂 😂
EVER!!!!!😂😂😂😂🏆🏆💯 #DoitintheFinals
Feulogy !

2nd time listening to the best eulogy ever
6th time
Stu’s hand movements while he speaks is HILARIOUS
THE ONLY WAY TO DISCUSS THE HAMMER'S DEMISE IS TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT YOU WOULD ATTEND HIS VEGAS FUNERAL.
Jimmy the Greek, Pete Axthelm and Hank Goldberg. All three were about gambling and horse racing. Loved them.
I think Eddie K from G.A. deserves an honorable mention
Thanks for mentioning me when talking about my friend!
"I was never that happy when he was alive" lmao
Love these inside baseball segments
36:54 Good grief that Neil Rogers sound clip is brutal. Clearly the FCC didn't care about sports radio in Miami
For those that remember it was a true wild wild west during that Miami radio period
Well that was before Bush and evangelicals took over FCC and started taking the fun out of TV and radio.
Dan's a decent human being. He took the high road.
One of the few times, I actually saw Dan holding back out of respect. Is was clear some of it bothered him ALOT.
NEIL was god in south Florida radio and the fact you played 2 clips cemented the fact he was the legend that he was. As much as you hate him he was number 1 in entertaining radio. Something that is now a past time.

Perfectly on brand eulogy. I learned and laughed.
Dan LeBastard and "The Humper" were fabulous nicknames
Neil Rogers was brutal. It wasn’t just Dan. Nobody escaped his venom. The guy was the master of the radio sound drop though.
facts!! Remember Neil Rogers on Howard David? Nobody lol took it like Howard David. Neil is a legend and he made these guys shook really hard that after 20 years they're still crying about it
Yes! He liked to play skits where Howard and Goldy were repeatedly raped. So much nostalgia.
@@mrpanthers1872 Moe Howard David.
and when the rating system changed, it BROKE him
and I laughed
Dan was hardly alone in receiving the venom of Uncle Neil who daily crapped on his own coworkers such as the great Jimmy Syphilis.
All the old hank people are commenting on this youtube video on their computers typing their responses with two pointer fingers while their glasses keep falling off their face
All of Dan audience is over 40 years old. You act like Dan got all the 20 year olds audience.
4:47 "That took care of itself" lmao
Was starting to get upset about the bashing of Hank Goldberg, but after listening to entire show, I understand the sensibility and context of entire panel with StuGotz and LeBetard.
Are you serious??? All you listen was to one side of the story. You would be horrible on a jury duty
We need a “The Remarkable Weight of Indestructible Greed” with stugotz as lead actor

facts
Whatever happened to Marc Hochman? I know he’s a host on an afternoon sports radio show in Miami, but why did he leave Dan’s show?
I don’t know any of the personal details but Hoch went to either 560 or 940 to be the lead guy on their morning show and as of last year (when I last lived in south FL) he was still on local radio
Jesus, Stu sounds SO bad today. Them heaters, man... 😅
I loved this lol
Stugotz to Roy after his pleghm filled comment "your voice sounds great" all begrudgingly breh I'm 💀
classic Stu
When do the Rick & Suds audio clips come out?
Hank died on his bday. That's a completed mission
Stugotz is really my hero
That second clip was rough. Idk how Dan laughed
I loved the way Goldberg and Rogers called Dan out. I would have loved living in South Florida back then instead of listening to our mediocre local sports talk here in Baltimore.
I lived in south Florida at that time and it was the Wild West in radio back thne
It was great stuff. I remember Hank just hammering away on Dan. Dan had a lot of really dumb opinions that deserved to be called out
The fact that Neil Rogers A.) Name dropped Greg Cote B.) Said he was smarter than Dan and C.) Pronounced his name wrong was just perfect
I think he made a joke of Cote’s name (Kotex is a brand of tampons).
That was a shot @Craig
Loved listening to Hank. He got me started on sports radio back in 1994. I remember faxing in questions about Harold Miner. Tbh Dan had a lot of stupid contrarian columns that deserved to be bashed.

agree but they leave that part out. Dan had idiotic columns and so did Barry jackson. The two guys Hank made fun of a lot
I got scared for a sec. I had read the title wrong. Lol

I'll give it a couple months and ask on wake and take if he doesn't say before then. Those stories have fot to be gold
This shows killed more people than the delta variant

Hank was an acerbic legend jagoff.
Dan LeBastard. You know it was the Wild West when that wasn’t even the the third or fourth most potentially offensive said.
I wonder if Hank would on the other side be honest and proud of you since the threat was over?
😂😂😂😂😂 Petty LaBelle. I love it.
Hank was great. He talked about more than sports. Sports radio sucks.
Roy said Dan was cha cha sliding on hanks grave ! AYO 🤣
You could have just lead w the racism lmaooo
I can’t believe Dan did anything other than bashing the jerk that was Hank Goldberg. He’s a better person than I am. That old sound was appalling.
4:13 Stu sickness kick in at the wrong time…
Sounds like Hank Goldberg was a lot like Howard Eskin in Philly.
This was kinder to Hank than he deserved
This show is so much better without Jess..
I can barely get through Stupodity, God Bless Football and Wake n Take, I can't even imagine how bad The Racing Nuts was.
remember hank ripping dan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
👽🍻
Roy’s Nuggets?!
I would throw you and your whiny crew away, Dan for just one more episode of the Neil Rogers show
Stugotz is dead wrong about Hank being jealous of Dan cause he saw him as a threat. Hank diliked Dan way before he was doing radio part time with Espn/WQAM. This whole show is bad taste. It's a no talent, no class bleepshow. I love it
Neil was a CLASSIC RACIST. The purest.
wow - had no idea hank was that terrible. disgusting sound clips
he wasn't. The sound clips is from Neil Rogers.
Neil god.
Dan can not take criticism and holds a grudge he did the same thing to Don Shula after Shula took him to task for something he wrote. Everything Dan said yesterday he should have said years ago why wait until someone dies?

WHERES JESS? WE LOVE HER!

for a group that tries to moralize everything and sit on their high horse, it's pretty shitty to do this to someone who just passed
@@lucasg961 Its funny this comes from a crew thats sensitive over everything but here they are doing a lot worst then what they get offended by
Stugotz first ballot radio hall of famer and without a doubt a better muni bond salesman……MURRAY!
