Waleed is just the human form of daily mail
Nah he's the eastern version of Tucker Carlson
Don lemon* you mean 🤣
Oooooooooooooowuu. Niiiice Burn!!!!!!!
@@Yeahnar Don Lemon is more quietly spoken not screamimg like Carlson
Scott Morrison is now the Minister Nothing At All.
For a man who stated "it's not my job" while the country was burning deciding to take on all the jobs in government shows a major change in commitment. (Ha ha)
Oh! Good point!!!
Haha. Exactly 💯.
I wouldn't be surprised if the deep state made him. Lol ;)
He was specifically talking about the Prime Minister job. As at that time he was the Home Affairs Minister.
He doesn't hold a hose but he's happy to hold a ministry, or two, or three, or four......
😁 yesss
The media and so called "journalism" in this country is pathetic
Waleed Aly has always been an insufferable wanker.
Yep, especially when contrasted with a legit Journalist Eva K Bartlett (ruclips.net/user/EvaKBartlettvideos?view=0&sort=dd&flow=grid)
Also some Anti-Revisionist History (ruclips.net/channel/UCvq3YadD2uIFb7cFLbTtmFwvideos)
Just trying to spread the word.
Correction: all sanctioned media in the world is pathetic *bc* its job is to convince enough homeowning rubes the status quo is good and moral and legitimate and all the bad stuff comes from bad individuals making bad individual choices and there is nothing structurally wrong with our beloved corporate dominated oligarchies
Oh you're far too kind!
4 comments, but I only see my own.
Watching Waleed on q&a with the late, great Christopher Hitchens shows what an intellectual lightweight Aly is
That was delightful watching him squirm! What a great man Hitchens was...RIP.
Hear hear
I will always remember that.
Aggreed
Damn, I've got to watch that. CH was the man.
Behind a potential video ranking the Andy Griffiths' "Just" Series, Project/Waleed videos have to be my favourite sub-genre of Jordies
He speaks!
Lmao
scumo americas lapdog and sustralias former top sleaze bag...will never vote liberal ever...
Jellied eel is my favourite
The bad book
Sky news: Why does Albo keep talking about Morrison surely there are important issues that Australia needs to be dealing with at the moment.
Also Sky News: here's 37 videos in your feed about how much Meghan Markle annoys us.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Bravo
i dont remember aly getting upset when the libs were trashing julia gillard with horrendous misogyny over her being the PM - he is just a sad little man wanting the right to like him - pathetic
Money corrupts integrity!
"We shouldn't make this political" -A political commentator, talking about some politicians.
I don't watch The Project because of Waleed. I rejoiced in his views when he first started because he had a Muslim minority take on things and Australia needs some diversity in media. But he has devolved into a 'Liberals Good, Labor Bad' rhetoric and I loathe him. There is nothing different and thoughtful about him. He should be called "One-Eyed Waleed".
Lol so many words to say nothing. My turn: Islam is a dumb religion just like all religion. Christianity is also now a minority view and it’s not a full of wisdom because it’s minority view, it’s just a minority view because it’s dumb.
Stop virtue signalling or just go the whole way and start praising the freedom fighting student movement otherwise known as the taliban.
"He has devolved" ...accurate assessment.
HEY YOU INFIDELS!
Agree totally, never ceases to amaze me that people of ethnic heritage (who most right wingers wouldn't piss on if they caught fire) become sympathisers and collaborators.
I don't watch The Project full stop! Waleed has progressively become more and more of a right wing shit over the years. I also went cold turkey on all ABC news and current affairs at the start of June. It has been absolutely wonderful NOT watching any of the crap. I had already stopped watching any commercial TV news a long time ago. SBS is okay but I read their updates instead of watching. TV has really lost the plot.
12:00 "...that would make the inquiry inherently politicised"
Yeah, I too hate when politicians get all political about the actions of other politicians in parliament.
How dare they! 🙄🙄🙄
I honestly didn't understand this. Isn't it less political to investigate an irrelevant opposition back bencher than the PM?
Surely everyone can see how that's less 'political' as going forward the public won't be associating the LNP with Scomo as much as Dutton or whoever else.
It's "technically" not illegal to fart in an elevator. Doesn't mean you should do it.
I'll always do it but
Im going do it anyway.
Did that once, no one except me onboard. As I got out the CEO got in. 🤣🤣🤣
That advice is a bit late for me ,
you're not the boss of me
Waleed Aly is a guy that waffles on about things that could have been said in 1 minute ,but takes 10 minutes to say.He loves to show off his supposed, intellectual prowess , his philosophy radio show is just painful ,and he recently took offence to a joke about his personality being a good fit for a lawyer. He is really a guy who tries to speak and act like he is very very intelligent, but he really just follows the basic mainstream script on anything. From philosophy to conservative politics.Idoubt he every had an original idea in his life
I just love that he was first contestant out when he was on Hard Quiz. His attempts at humour were pathetic.
philosophy? what fucking philosophy does he know!?
Shane Warne was right to Call Waleed a 'Grub' in an infamous tweet
You’re absolutely right, I read a column of his in the herald sun during the pandemic. I should have bashed my head against a wall instead of reading the same complaints everybody’s uncle has. I don’t think I’ve lost as many brain cells as I have trying to follow his unfounded arguments.
love the Junkie mum had to laugh 🤣🤣
and wali ali can get fu...ked😤
I was gobsmacked when she asked Albo about what he’ll do about Scott Morrisons recent actions and then questions him for even talking about. It was literally embarrassing.
Waleed has traded on the marginalised underprivileged disadvantaged migrant persona which created for himself. In fact, he is a Wesley/Melbourne University educated private schoolboy from the Eastern suburbs. His net worth is around $18mill. Don’t be fooled by the smoke screen.
Bruh I'm on TV constantly but I'm sooo oppressed
Wesley student here. He gets paraded around during assemblies when he graces us with his presence, and nobody listens. Actual marginalised migrants don’t claim him, and the students at least don’t want him around as an old Wesleyan, it’s only the admin and college board that froth him.
And if you’re wondering about why he’s so terrible as a Murdoch journo and channel 10 panellist, is because the extent of his argument making skills only came from school debating here.
I despise people that pull that kind of shit.
Always thought there was something fishy about him, if a Murdoch media mole then it says it all about his columns
@@raymondpulham1600 I meant Murdoch as in implying he may as well write for him because as a journalist he's pretty much paid by politically motivated industries to keep the whole main-stream media wagon moving.
It's not fishy, he just happens to be an old private school boy who finished school and went to a prestigious uni by default, played the upper class game, networked a little and landed an overpaid job in the media, pretty typical for any ex private school student who goes into media. He's just a product of high culture, and we'd be talking about somebody else doing the same in his spot.
"Sir Joh has already retired from politics, so what good could come from the Fitzgerald Inquiry?"
"Trump had already lost the Presidency when the January 6 insurrection happened, so what good could some from the January 6 Senate Committee Investigations?"
"Slobodan Milošević has resigned from the Yugoslavian Presidency, so what is the point of the International Criminal Tribunal in the Hague?"
"Hitler is already dead and the Nazi Party destroyed, so what good could come from the Nuremburg Trials?" #godwin
I love these "look at that hang dog expression, he's learnt his lesson." reactions that people who exploit their power and lose it don't need to be punished. As if losing power is punishment enough. "They tried to cheat the system and they lost their job - they've suffered enough!" --- "Yes it's true I stole money from my employer your honour BUT they've already fired me! Isn't that punishment enough?? I also have to answer to the crimes I committed? Where's the justice in that?
best comment so far...thank you
Perfectly said, damn!
Waleed has got super salty on his Radio National show, i think he knows the wheels are coming off for him and his friends..
Being a journalist for the SMH, The Australian etc, must be like being a mechanic, that can never repair a car.
I gave up on Waleed the instant he started up on sharia law... Plenty of places operate under that system, if you want that, feel free to live in one of them
Waleed Ali being a co-host for a show called "Academic" is like Hellen Keller being on a show called "The sights and sounds of America"
😂😂😂
It's all about the cronies and their mates.
The story doesn't change, and we're still waiting for people to be held accountable!
You can call them out in public, you can film them, you can get acess to all the documents that prove their crimes, but will anything be done by the LAW????
Not in my lifetime I'm sure, but keep up the pressure team Jordies 💪 every small win adds up to.... WINNING 😍
I feel so dirty that in my naive youth I thought Waleed was a man of intelligence and integrity.
I wish more people went after him like this
#metoo 😔
I worked on a construction site opposite channel 10 in Melbourne a few years back and Waleed used to walk past it regularly and the whole site used to yell at him “waleed you’re a wanker!” ….
It wasn’t long before he started using the rear entrance to the studio…
Wtf happened to this guy. He actually started out as a reasonably serious journalist slash political commentator….
He was always a lying dickhead, You didn't notice how much of dishonest prick he was because he said shit you liked.
Money, fame, influence (in his own imagination of course)…
What happened?
Channel 10 is a right-wing mouthpiece, he works there, and has been influenced over time by his peers/coworkers.
That's my guess and purely an opinion.
God I hate that argument of "why do this now? aren't there more important things you should be worrying about?"
Now seems to be exactly the right fucking time to worry about this.
The "Just" series by Andy Griffiths won't just rank itself Jordies
I don't remember asking Waleed his opinion on the Morison takeover.
I decided to read Aly's article because I wanted to see his arguments in context.
It is one of the most glib and dishonest opinion pieces I've ever read.
The way Aly uses brutalism in a sentence makes me think he was using "right click: show synonyms - this one looks smart" ala a particularly dumb year 10 student trying to impress his E class English teach, daddy Murdoch.
The fact that many people see him as a "bleeding heart lefty" and so take his dumping on Labor extra seriously because he is "left", Labor is "left" so shitting on them with false logic and bullshit is extra meaningful because they should be best friends pisses me off and boggles my mind!
------
When you said "I've got 2 Aly's to criticise" I thought a certain podcast co-host was about to get joke slammed.
"But... BUT... HE BROWN MAN! BROWN MAN LEFT!"-Every dipshit that CONSTANTLY ignores the fact he and everyone else always tries to put the Liberal Party in a good light and Labour in a bad one.
Jordan pleeease rank the Just series so that i know its not just some mandela effect thing in my head that i dreamt up that doesnt actually exist
Waleed: Wait... This is Brutality... You can't do it!
Albanese: Wrong Waleed, this is not a Brutality... This is a Fatality!
Morrison: AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Waleed: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Waleed Aly is the embodiment of the word 'pretentious'
Or "pseud"
That Waleed/smug, self righteous Triple J voice is superb. It's so obvious when you flick onto JJJ in the car.
i guess i am not surprised others feel that !
Waleed is the embodiment of Taqiya
As a practicing Muslim person from South Asia who chose to migrate to Australia as an adult, I HATE that the MSM considers this spineless, Uncle Tom of a man to speak for us 😔 I can’t even call Waleed Aly a clown, since he’s not even funny
Interesting that you consider him that way!
This simpering presenter denegrates his religion himself and all his people
"Brutalism" isn't even about being "brutal", it's about using concrete forms in architecture.
Brutalist architecture is functional, efficient, cost-effective and built to last.
Sounds like the Labor Government to me! (unironically)
@@kurtg5405 actually no, thats not brutalism at all.
@@BobbyDazzler888 A bit like you weren't singing at all.
@@BobbyDazzler888 stonemason and wetworker here.
Yes it is. Architecture from majority concrete and steel is specifically referred to as "Brutalist" and no-one does it quite like the Soviets.
Guys it's both so it's ok.
Everytime is see W.A all I can think of is that South Park episode where people with hybrids like to smell their own farts.
Or liberal farts. Hes probably collected a few in mocoona jars as his favourite scents that he takes a whiff of on special occasions
Listening to Waleed on radio National on his philosophical musings is like visiting a bad dentist, you want it to end quickly. The guy loves himself & is unbearable to listen to for anyone with some rational intelligence. Ronni Salt labelled him as a professional contrarian, I believe she is spot on with this assertion.
I heard him talking about physical labour with some other bloke and they spouted some serious bullshit anti-poor people viewpoints
i'll just leave this here...
Amy Remeikis is a well-known Australian journalist who currently works as a political correspondent for The Guardian and formerly worked for 9 years at Fairfax Media. lol
Are they holding his family ransom to write stuff like this? Because no real jurno would consider publishing this crazy talk.
You say that like Waleed is a real journo.
Well he’s not actually a Journalist! He’s an ex lawyer!! Make more sense now?
It pisses me off when they say Morrison is no longer in government so move on. The opposition is part of government. They aren't in power but he is still an MP.
I love Jordie but always disappointed he's the closest thing we have to journalistic integrity.
Watch Michael West.
Jordie is too Labor partisan to be considered the closest thing we have to journalistic integrity, he always ignore Labor corruption and regularly criticises The LNP for the same thing Labor do too. I still like alot of what he says but he's completly biased.
@@raphaelkoch1573 Fight fire with fire.
@@reecerox2 As someone who doesn't like either major party I can't see someone who is clearly 100% biased as having journalistic integrity even if they do have some good critiques and viewpoints. Hyper partisan views are one of the major problems we have with out politics.
That's a bit of a stretch. A millennial shock jock at best.
"It's not technically illegal!"
Said by lots of people who shouldn't be in charge of anything more high-stakes than a Bake Sale
Nothing's illegal if you don't get caught i guess
I wouldn't even put them in charge of a bake sale, they'd skim the cash drawer and replace the flour in the muffins with cat litter or something.
They're not even fit to judge a wet t-shirt competition.
Sorry children Scomo ate all the buns
@@spamviking Exactly. Probably skimp on the butter and sell it on the side.
Makes sense why Victoria was left in the lurch during covid now we know Morrison was joint finance minister. Morrison does have this insane level hatred of the Labor party
He has an insane level of hatred for anyone who isn't of his cult! "You're not a pentacostal? Ohhhh you're going to burn in hell!!!"
It is about what contracts he signed using those ministries that needs investigation.
Scotty (I've never lied) Morrison never does anything unless he is going to personnally benefit or those who direct him benefit. So yes let's lift up the rocks and see what's under them.
@@Heisthelightoftheworld All the rock spiders that the media is hiding in plain sight 🐵
What do you expect from someone who went to Wesley?
Aly isn’t even a journalist. He’s a qualified engineer and a lawyer not a journalist.
Modern journalism is not a profession but a popularity contest.

opining sweeping generalizations is generally indicative of intellectual torpidity.
Reading "Atlas Shrugged" does not count as studying philosophy. 🤣
Literally had the exact same thought haha
No, it's an exercise in masturbation.
This video confirms the best $20 i ever spent was deciding not to vote. Thank you
Just because he has the gift of the gab doesn’t mean what they say is right or have any logic. It is amazing how journalists are not chosen to do this work. Bolte is another example. He may have been a cadet but that doesn’t really make him a journalist.
He doesn’t even have the gift of the gab. He just talks like he’s a pseudo intellectual who always thinks he’s superior to everyone he meets and literally no one listens to his shite
My missus just described it as a prisoner disclosing to a cellmate that he'd committed a crime and saying it was for the good of humanity, I've not yet heard it described better.
Waleed Aly: a silver spoon posing as a Swiss Army knife.
His private school got more tax money than our state schools...
... and he wants to keep the world EXACTLY AS IT IS

Also she has secured a nice little earner with OPTUS.
i read bits of a book waleed wrote about islam and muhammed. i could not possibly read the whole book it was tortuous, it was as if he was trying to show how educated he was using words i had never heard of, i had to keep looking words up, i would find he could have used several others words that the average well educated person would have understood. i told the person who loaned the book to me that waleed obviously had an inferiority complex, therefore was having to prove his ''smartness''. in the book he claimed muhammed was married to a middle aged widow, didn't marry a nine year old, i think i believe the latter. he painted a very rosy picture of islam, which one would expect..an honest history of islam [more likely] '' A History of Islam in 15 Minutes'' by Brigitte Gabriel, she was born in Lebanon, now a US citizen...
5 minutes in my AHDH has me googling if horses still wear shoes 🤣🤣
Waleed getting kickbacks from Voldemort?
Ha! Yesterday I actually searched for Jordan's past Waleed's videos, because I just enjoy listening to smug people getting rckd. Bless be to the Jordies on this fine day.
👁️👄👁️
Waleed Aly has finally realised that being a political commentator is a bit harder and requires more convincing arguments than making speeches to audiences comprised of over-privileged private school pupils salivating over his every word.
No he hasn't. He still thinks he's not a diversity hire.
oh boy friendlyjordies ripping on Waleed Aly on my birthday! What a treat!
Happy B'Day.
That today interview is one of the most slimey attempts to try and portray albo as someone obsessed with the previous government and neglect his responsibilities. God damn I hate the press so fucking much
I did like how he uno reversed that bitch.
The "news" sites also reported it as if albo lost his cool with her too.
Got to start early to sow manufactured consent. Heaven forbid you actually do your bloody job MSM, instead talk about how bad labor is whilst sucking off the LNP for years to tell everyone how bad they are without and nuance and fabricating scandals.
Ahhh that's actually a top hat 🎩 lol
It's been sad to see the demise of Waleed. I used to take interest in his perspectives. He's a useful case study of how people in his industry are corrupted by the power structures they work within.
Well said.
I think he’s more just another example of a douche doing what murdick dictates! Literally! 🤮
I like how they cut away to Albo as he answers that ridiculous follow up question.
I wish I could have seen her full reaction.
I'd just like to mention that the majority of the people of Jonestown were not convinced to 'drink the Koolaid', but we're systematically manipulated and coerced into their actions. It's a devastating and fascinating case and if you like podcasts I highly recommend Casefile's deep dive.
I heard that those who refused to drink were gunned down. Is that right? (I really should google it myself but it's late and I'm tired lol)
@@aprilbl00m If my memory serves me right, a congressman with a small entourage went to Guyana to investigate and some were shot dead at an airstrip. This triggered Jones into calling the members to commit an act of 'revolutionary su###de'. I believe Jones had some incredibly indoctrinated members stand around him and the hall they assembled at and held up guns at the other members. But I don't believe anyone besides the 'outsiders' got shot.
But the part that most people aren't aware of is that by this point the people were living in terrible conditions and mostly starving, and for months Jones had been randomly waking them up in the middle of the night with sirens and essentially causing sleep deprivation (now a common torture technique). He'd then wax poetically about how everyone was out to get them and that if they really loved him then they'd do whatever he asked without question. He'd get them to randomly drink stuff and tell them after that it was poison. So much manipulation and coercion.
I think I speak for everyone here when we say we want a full series of Junkie Mum!

Brutalism against political enemies, sounds like the Lib/Nats inquiry into the unions.

I think Waleed's reached his use by date especially on The Project!
It's been years since I watched "The Project".
Is there anyone on the show who's any better, or will the show just get even worse?
More like the “use immediately after opening” variety of personality.
Or that one of the reasons We Voted for Labor to Hold Morriscum and the lnp held accountable!!! …. Is there any chance, we could have some actual Journalists in our Media?? 🤦♀️
A while ago I started to wonder if Waleed was being blackmailed into his new pro-rightwing, pro-LNP perspective. What else could explain his total 180?
Waleed is a sellout. Just like Brooke Boney. Could have been so much more.
Triple J is a factory for sellouts these days. Bring back Frenzel Rhomb.
13:05 wow Jordan's role as a building in Perth was phenomenal. on the same level as darcy's acting ngl.
So basically what Waleed said is if Adolf Hitler resigns from his position then we have to leave him alone because he's no longer in power and we don't want to engage in political brutalism
😂👏👏👏👏
I didn't mind Aly until the other night when I watched the project and he asked, either feigning ignorance or truly being a dunce, why there should an inquiry into how and why SmoCo would simply swear himself in as minister of a few extra departments without telling the Australian public or even his own colleagues. Yeah, Waleed, I wonder why that would warrant some sort of follow-up. At least Carrie retorted "so it doesn't happen again". It was lost on poor old Waleed.
The Liberal simps are pushing the "pfft, nothing to see here" routine yet will spend days upon months criticising Dan for simply appearing at an IBAC hearing despite no charge, no insistence to stand-down or resign...
Does Aly have a law background? Surely there maybe a detail that the Solicitor General doesn't know and didn't think to ask because it never occurred to him like 3 weeks ago it didn't occur to him that the former PM was super minister? Again Aly might know more but if I wanted to prevent things that are inconsistent with democracy I would want to know everything so I didn't leave a loophole for someone to slither through.
Sometimes i forget how good jordies' impression of albo is.
I love how sometimes you spend an entire episode on describing the qualities of a single piece of dog shit.
You summed him up well in just two words!
The logic of Waleed is astounding. Effectively he is saying that a scandal centring on lack of transparency is not helped by any sort of transparency through an investigation.
Holy fuck dude.... Every day we are getting closer to the US Media model... and every day, more and more people feel reeeaaal fuckin' smart by watching Sky After dark... like.... FUCKING HOW???!?! Truely baffles the mind.

Waleed's writing is just...awful. How did he possibly write so many words yet say nothing at all?
Has anyone asked Waleed about his prophet taking a 9 year old girl as his bride, and later flying to ‘heaven’ on a winged horse. Maybe such beliefs might put things into perspective. And then of course we have SLOWMO and his beliefs….
I wonder if ScoMo’s secret portfolio grab has anything to do with his belief in the Seven Mountains mandate where evangelicals take over every aspect of society to impose a theocratic state in prep for the “end of days” nonsense.
Can u reupload with a squirt sound effect after 'Joe Hildebrand unloads'
Ha, the public have the right to be ignorant (Sir Humphrey Appleby)
Waleed Aly and Joe Hildebrand really do get under my skin and live rent free in my head.
Don't they just? Joe fucking Hildebrand is a candidate for retrospective abortion in my opinion, the guy is a hard right fuck knuckle who tries to disguise himself as a moderate centrist.
They might not be paying *you*, but the cost to them certainly isn't free. They still have to wake up every morning to the horrible realisation that they're Waleed Aly and Joe Hildebrand and always will be; a fate much worse than death.
"If it's to humiliate Labor's enemies..."
Yeah, well, it's not. The inquiry isn't a petty dig at the mean kid in the playground, it's an investigation into whether the former PM acted unlawfully, and to determine the sequence of events that occurred that led to the former PM assuming multiple ministries surreptitiously.
The premise is unsound. "Pfft!" I say.
Did everyone forget Waleed explaining away Morrisons racist comments in an interview on the project before the miracle in 2019 ?
