I just finished watching this movie. And it was a masterpiece. Will highly recommend it to everyone. It will take your heart away. It is very beautiful.
I am so in love with this movie. Everything about the summers I spent in Italy under my family outdoor door eating the great fruit & food. The grass I would roll in with my Italian boyfriend just near a lake also under trees. The coffee at the cafes. Those were the days the best times of young love in Italy. This director captures it all & Timothy played a fantastic part. He is the next big sex symbol & he deserved an award for this movie. There should be more movies like this. The end scene was amazing & I was crying also of my memories. Italy is beautiful & maybe I should of stayed there.
@@meganmcleod6152 me neither ! he was insanely good in cmbyn, i truly believe no one else would have played this role better than timothée. he captured elios playfulness, inexperience, passion, etc. freaking perfectly
Timothee was robbed of the Oscar. No one was better that year. He had to create a complicated character, going through a coming of age sexual awareness. I read the book first and did not believe they could bring this story to the screen. In the book, you are inside Elio’s head. It’s magnificent and at the end, I cried for 30 minutes afterwards. I marveled at how Luca Guadagnino brought this beautiful love story to life. I had to buy the movie.
I would never stop looking at this movie: it's such a MASTERPIECE!!!!!! I looked already 10 times or more!!!! I love it!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I recall I saw this movie its well put together of coming of age and 1st time falling in love. And "yes" real love hurts. But we all fall in love at sometime in our life and movies like this really hit home! Especially for me!
Brings back memories of when I was 14 and visited Portugal. My father's friend had a 16 year old French student named Sereal staying with him for the summer. We went for a lot of walks and hung out a lot for that month. Slept in the same bed etc. Nothing much happened. Let's just say, I *found* *out* I definitely wasn't gay that summer. I wish I knew how to get in touch with him 30 years later.
@@itsmebeyonderI think it was my first bromance, yeah. But that word didn't exist back then, neither did the notion of it. I knew he was bisexual, but I was too young to really try too much. At the time I hadn't even had a girlfriend. But the feelings I get watching this video (oddly enough, mostly from the color of the daylight) is of pure nostalgia.
We and they have moved on, but a testament to this beautiful film as that one day last week, I showed it to a friend. (we are both gay but that's irrelevant). My friend was captivated by it, and no matter how many times I try to prepare myself for the fireplace scene, is still breaks me. The fact that Timothee and Armie, spent so much time together, in each other's hotel rooms, rehearsing before filming began, must I am sure, contributed to the intimate and very personal scenes between them. And perhaps some merged with their training and for fleeting moments.Became reality. In Rome, that long and passionate embrace, Oliver kissing Elio. The undressing of each other in Elio's bedroom. A film made with dignity, respect, and so much love. They and we continue to age but the film is ageless and timeless. I too have known the joy of love found and the pain of love lost, so it resonates with me personally. You find a way to live with the loss, but the pain never really goes away, it just doesn't.......... And a sequel? No. Let us imagine if we want to, a reunion between them. No Luca. You have created a true masterwork. It's enough. Jonathan
Lana Del Ray (Amy Lee too) was my late wife's favorite artist. It's been over 8 years since my lovely Steph passed away. I still have days harder to live than just let go. I still only sleep on my side of the bed. God I miss her so much. She was so perfect. She was the only one who thought my ugly dark boring brown eyes were beautiful. And I thought her bright blue/grey eyes were so much more beautiful. She had no idea just how beautiful she was to me. She reminded me of Michelle Pfeiffer in her mid 20's, but so much more perfect. God I miss her so much.
young and beutiful by lana de rey, and fire on fire by sam smith fit this love story/movie so well. i literally am obsessed with their love story, and this movie timothee chalamet is so hot in this movie, i cant explain the feeling
