I have had this machine since 2006 when I bought it new. The Baja had a 4.3 V-6 in it. The v-6 y-pipe and v-8 are the same. This is the y-pipe that came out of this boat.

I feel your pain with those cast jobs! Sometimes no matter what you do it just never welds good.

Nice job, when I'm doing castings, I will sometimes try different fillers like 4145, or in this case of a casting to std. mill stock, maybe 4643 to help prevent the" boiling" and dilution. All that corrosion can really suck, I see, or hear, you also have loud torch cooler.

It is a stainless bernard TIG cooler with an oberdorfer pump. These pumps have straight cut gears which make them loud. I rebuilt it to with no change just money out if my pocket and no benefit.

Dynasty 300? Wow, you dropped some coin on that didn't you? Very nice job. There isn't much a person can't do armed with a 300 amp tig welder and a milling machine. You are replacing a 4 banger with a v-8 right? Is that why you needed to new Y pipe?
