It must be nice to have your freakish ability to point the camera lens in absolutely any direction whilst occupying your other hand to cover a yawn, only to review yet another photographic masterpiece with every shutter actuation.. You're an inspiration indeed!

I have owned one of these of years. You can at a push hold and shoot at the same time. You can also get a assistant to hold 2 of them. A diffuser from the back and a reflector form the front. (It's in the instructions that come with it) Recommended

thank Jason I made my own eye highlighter with a 4x8 sign of a state rep running for office, i ran the photo in Tony & Chelses stunning digital photography forum and killed it. As of right now the photo of the young woman is at 416 likes thank you Jason you inspire me wish i could show you the photo and another thing with all that bounce lighting i was able to shoot at 1/2000s F1.8 ISO200 50mm1.8 so sharpe thank you!

Great video! I also have, and use, TriGrip diffusers and reflectors. I really like them.
But let's be honest, you could have bounced that diffused light back onto that model using the back of an old trash can lid and still had a great shot.... that girl is way pretty!
Next time, throw in a couple of shots of that guy who was holding the reflector. Then we could see how the gear performs under a little bit of pressure....
The Canon 85mm f1.2 is a really sweet lens. The reflectors help it along nicely. I have Lastolite circular reflectors with no handles and take very much your point that triangular ones with proper frame and handles would be much easier to use. I can see they are as you clearly demonstrate. I would love a California gold reflector but they are pricey and omb (outa my budget).
Did you do anything with the images in Lightroom or did you post as SOOC?
70-80F, sun and blue skies of Southern California seems really appealing right now.

what's the rationale for positioning the reflector so low? for me it makes the lighting on her face a bit unnatural because you can tell the light is coming from below
Chris Bowler this is meant to illustrate the tones the reflector gives off. It was actually very windy when we shot this so holding it up higher wasn't an option that would give us consistent results...

Use low reflector angles for Halloween portraits. Or turn beautiful models into zombies. Any time the catch light in the eye is under the iris, as in 3:40, portraits will be ghastly.

ebay mate... everything in my country are crazy expencive aswell, thats why i buy most of my crap on da ebay, most stuff are something like 3-4 times cheaper, just got 5 in 1 80x120 reflector set from selenas, only 20 usd shipment included, not much more then it cost to send a package here
But the salary is also double 😂
