Hi, my camera when out to charge it start flashing red light, or sometimes no response. Since few days even though the battery was full charged it used get switched off which I was using. What might be the problem. Please suggest.

I have Nikon coolpix p500 when I am trying to switch on the camera directly it's showing on the screen ,[error! Switch off the camera ,remove the lender cap n than switch on..the main point is when I don't have lense cap.
Mine has the same problem last night. I wanted to take a picture of full moon.
