Just rewatched this movie tonight.. what an outstanding piece of cinema. Truly one of the best performances in film history. Does anyone have any recommendations for movies that convey a similar sense of dread and nihilism?

Soundtrack a little little bit stolen from Heimat... but such a landmark in the 90’s . Top two with Underground as my favourite movies of the 90’s. Sublime acting.
