As a guitar player and lover of drop tuned metal guitar I love watching how effortlessly he plays some very difficult riffs….believe me it takes practice to master these riffs.
Recently i read an interview where he said that he loves Duran Duran ''Come Undone''....now it's clear anymore in mind that chill part in the mid of ''Aov'' its' kinda a secret tribute to main riff of ''Come Undone''
I have a question for anyone here and I'm serious. I've asked several guitar players and sales reps and I just get a confused look. I have a strat with single-coil pickups. For me to drop tune, do I need to do anything special with my guitar or is D as low as I should go?
String gauge you need depends on your scale, not pickups. So you are good to go with any drop tunings with a strat if you pick thicker strings. However, playing metal on singles is usually consider suboptimal, although it’s all in the hands and with proper training it will Sound fine.
Jim: "AOV. Here's the intro."
*plays it at 10,000 mph*
Man what a blessing it is to here this as instrumental
Perfection

That’s the harsh truth right there
most slipknot songs are very simple riffs but difficult to master due to their speed and use of transitioning between their different notes
....these are difficult?
I was a beginner at the time sorry not a master player like you are im sure@@chriscarter8593
@@chriscarter8593to play at the speed they do - yes.
Im glad to live on the same planet with James
Classic Jim root. Fucking badass.
Root is so mesmerizing to watch playing guitar. How calmly he can play at pace is absolutely astonishing.

Maybe thicker strings if you can’t get your E chord down to B?
