This is Mrs. Rose, she is one of the thousands of underpaid employees in the Arizona school system. When we arrived in Phoenix, we became aware of how significant the #REDforED movement was for schools and employees facing low wages, lack of funding, and little to no benefits. Educators like Rose, a teacher's aid battling breast cancer at Desert Mirage Elementary School with no paid leave or peace of mind, yet she continues to give her whole heart to her job and students. Somehow, that just didn't seem fair to us. We felt that it was time to give back to Mrs. Rose. She doesn't know it yet, but her life is about to change forever.

People that need to be heard. People that deserve a second chance. People with dreams and stories just like you...

I'm coming up on one year of being free from breast cancer and this story HIT ME IN THE GUTS!!! BRAVO!!! One of my former teachers had sent me money when I was going through treatment and it was right at the start of the pandemic. Even though it wasn't much, only $100, that money meant the world to me as it allowed me to get to the ER during a snow storm when I was in the most horrific pain from part of my chemo treatment. There are never enough words to say how truly grateful I can be of my former teacher for that gift. To see a teacher being given a life changing gift? PRICELESS! Teachers touch so many lives, and for it to be repaid? No words. Pure respect for what you did! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
My dear brothers and sisters I am cancer patient I live in Bangladesh I am the eldest child in my family I want to live some more days in this world you all help me my family my parents and I my younger sister in my family there is no one to feed them except me My parents are old help me if you help me I may get sick my whole family may live well I want to live I am not telling lies no one will misunderstand me
I’m a 45 yr old man that lost a lot of my emotions after my 3rd tour to the Middle East because you end up numb to fear, this made me Tear up.

Thank you for your service. That's not enough to say but thank you. My dad was in WW2 and did not come back the same person. When your buddies die in front of you and you liberate death camps how could you be the same person you were? I ask God to change your heart and heal you in Jesus's name 💞 🙏🏼

Teachers are the glue holding this world together as a parent I respect them so much... as a single mother of 10 I can say teachers were a huge part of my children going to college one of my daughters started college at 14 .....teachers were a huge part of why Ive gotten to be a proud mom 8 times and counting .....Ive been so blessed

As a cancer survivor who has Lynch Syndrome, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did for Miss Rose. You made it possible for her to live the rest of her life stress free, and in comfort. God Bless you for what you did for her. As this video was shot in 2018, I pray that Miss Rose got through her treatment, and is now on the road to remission. Thank you Miss Rose for all that you do for the children, as we all know how important it is for their future--to have such wonderful educators' in their lives. This is one channel that I am truly happy to be a subscriber to.

Turn to Jesus He loves you very much, He is the God of miracles, i was ill for a long time, but the doctors couldn't really help me, i don't blame them there was only so much that they could of done for me, Then Jesus gave me a miracle and healed me, God has done amazing things in my life and in the life's of people i know and love, He can do the same for you and yours, When you need Him call on Him, The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, He is the God of comfort and will be there for you when you call on Him, God saved someone i love from an illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, Its as simple as accepting Jesus, and Trusting Him for your Salvation, He is the healer of the body and Saviour of our souls, And if you truly seek Him Jesus will answer you, i know this because He answered me when i called out to Him, take care

Jill Becker Teachers' compensation & individual school funding needs to be Performance-based. Likewise, that funding needs to be paid to parents, who in turn pay THEIR choice of school & curriculum/teacher performance. Good legit teachers get paid better, & bad ones get starved out for their 1619 Project White Privilege Intersectionality Identity Politics Socialist bullcrap. 'Cuz we ain't paying for that.
I went to school (K-12) during the 60s & 70s. Last of the Boomers. Silicon Valley & Cape Canaveral. Dad worked for NASA. All public schools. I was lucky to have awesome (and a few boring but still competent) teachers. I was lucky to get my degrees BEFORE all this "woke" crap began to really gain traction in the universities. Tragically, perhaps even criminally, kids today don't seem to have that opportunity.
IMO, taxpayer $$$ for higher education should be limited to STEM related course studies. Somebody wants to major in Racial Studies of Transvestite Tree Sloths on Treadmills... I ain't paying for it. 'Cuz THAT is never gonna facilitate an economically stable viable career. Get a REAL job and pay for that yourself. I don't "owe" that to anyone.

In NC they created the position of teacher’s aides and made them full time employees a long time ago. I don’t see how you can create a job like that and not provide benefits like other school employees. Step up, folks in AZ, and start being good employers. Your property values will go up!!!
I have said this many times, my number 1 pick for most important job in America is teachers, my number 2 pick is first responders and military( all branches, including the coast guard ) and my 3rd pick is a little unusual but it is school bus drivers! School bus drivers keep our children safe on the way to and from school! First responders and military are heroes!! Without TEACHERS none of these people would be where they are now!!!
I'll put teachers first if they'll get rid of teachers unions that make it almost impossible to fire or terminate bad teachers. Unions are now just bloodsucking parasites. Now more than ever with the CRT they push on kids is so wrong. Parents should be in charge and give them school choice, parents have been stripped of how their children should be taught. It's WRONG.

I agree whole heartedly. As we recover from the previous administration's failure on not helping middle class families, essential workers during a pandemic, we need more people and stories to step up to be changemakers. We made a step in the right direction, and we must push for human infrastructure. The heroes act last year should have been passed immediately last year to reward teachers like Ms. Rose, and so many other essential hospital healthcare workers who we deserve our endless praises of the unforgiving war of the pandemic.

Nice video. Great for this lady! Sad that it has to include some untruths like low pay. I thought low pay was like $30,000 a year. When I discovered that the average grade school pay in Arizona is upper 50's to low 60's annually. I was very surprised. This year, the state will spend $4.2 billion of its overall $9.8 billion on K-12 education. Again surprised, but then again not surprised of the deceit put out there.
She's a classroom aide not a teacher. Aides are on an hourly wage not a teacher's salary.
