    1:10 Bambu Studio has updated since this video was made, and no longer lets you select "keep upper" or "keep lower" and instead replaced it with "Object A" or "Object B", and if you select BOTH of the objects, slice, and preview the gcode, you'll see it didn't combine the parts correctly.
    So it appears that they have made changes to the order in which parts are assembled, which causes the text to disappear after slicing. So to fix this you slice and keep both parts *BUT* after assembling you need to switch from Global to Object view and arrange the parts (by clicking and dragging the object) in the assembly so the text is at the bottom of the list for that assembly.
    Also some tips to getting good results: set elephant foot to 0, select arachne, set initial layer width to .55, and print on textured PIE @40mm/s. I use eSun PLA+ and bed adhesion is great, and 4mm tall text is as small as you should go imo. Arial Rounded MT Bold font is a good choice. If you're making something like a poker chip with text on it, I wouldn't go smaller than 34mm in diameter.

    I just did an object w/ raised text as a test (my 1st multi-color), so it just printed the base in 1 color then a single change to another color to do the text....using your method, it will have to do a color change every layer, for however many layers both colors are present (I believe 2 in your case), then eventually it changes to all white? You went a little too fast for me. LOL

    I am having the hardest time getting a solid back on the designs I make. I extrude each part of my image into a separate body in Fusion360. Then I export them as stl files. I can set all the piece of my image to, say .2mm and I would like the rest (2mm) to print solid. When I assemble them they look great, but once sliced the entire object becomes on solid color (my back color). Do you have any suggestions for me? - Thank you

    If my preview is missing items or showing as only white, are the details too small? I have some that just won't slice right even uploading as two different files. The slice preview looks a mess or is all white for 50mm logo keychains

    • @Markury
      @Markury  Год назад

      Hmmm… My first thought is to make sure that all of the parts are in the assembly. You can try re-ordering them in the parts list as well. The last thing I would try is changing your slice-gap closing radius (I believe you need advanced settings enabled to see this) to a higher or lower value. Let me know if you’re still having issues and we can chat!

    • @Markury
      @Markury  Год назад +1

      There's nothing wrong with the way you do it (that's actually the intended way to use these models) but the method I show in this video is in case you wanted to make it completely flat. That way, for like a coaster or something, instead of there being a layer of black on top of a layer of white to make the design, the white and the black would be mixed on the same layer so there's no 3D printed texture on the top. It's just another way to do it! I hope that makes sense, happy printing!

    • @JuanRodriguezNushio
      @JuanRodriguezNushio Год назад

      You can but it's slightly more complicated. I'd slice the file so it prints only the black part, then slice the file so it prints only the white part with lift z set to whatever height your black part was (probably .6 if the black part was .4)
      Then combine the gcodes so the print continues after the black, does a filament change then prints the white part.
      I've done it a dozen times but it's hard to do at first.
