Laying here in the hospital after getting a hip replacement this morning and now all I want to do is hobble home and grab the resonator off the wall to continue that awesome blues feeling. Justin your music is great medicine for me. Thanks
I do believe someone is scamming you Justin by replying to comments.
Get better mano!
Wishing you well Murray. These are good sounds all right!
Justin is da doktor. Feel better, Murray. 😉
Get well soon!
As an old man without relatives and pretty much no social life, this is the cat's ass! I love it and I hope someone plays JJ'S music at my funeral! 😁😊
My sentiments exactly my man, I'm 80 and love every second of his music. Can't get enough of it, So much talent.
My sentiments exactly my friend. Listening to him brings tears to me eyes and I just can't help it. I especially like his cover of Best Dressed Man.
That funeral sounds like fun, have you passed out your invites yet?
You should check out a song called "aint dead yet" by Charlie Parr.
@@offhandacoustic Thank you, I will in a few minutes when I start cooking. I'm always hungry for great music and new recipes, it seems that's all I have time for after work anymore.
JJ- get yourself out there to theatres and auditoriums. Call it "Two hours with Justin", and just get out there and jam, with your favorite gear, and people will eat that stuff up.
Good 'ol sultry, smooth southern style blues. This takes me back to my youth in Louisiana, where the adults sittin' around a bon fire sippin' brandy and crackin' crayfish! 😊
Think about it folks, how fortunate we are to have someone who can do this, who has these talents. He could've decided to do anything else. He decided to share his abilities to those who will listen. I myself sit in amazement, entertained and all I can say is...Thanks Justin...Thanks.. Just Badass man...
Badass music right chall here
I'd personally love to get a chance to jam out with Justin
Absollutly right, no doub't
How true ,and imagine how many more are out there that gave it up and did do something else ? I know a couple my self .
Drum...bass...em...can't spell ry thm
Every Guitar in the World wants to be played by the Legendary Justin Johnson.

It is surprising the fidelity to Delta Blues of this guy... Listening him I feel myself on the border of Mississipi river...
Wish more people played this style. Love it
I've been listening to blues guitar for 60 years and all I can say is wow Justin. Wow. I listen to you for hours. Thank you.
Hi, Malcolm. Do you know the name of that kind of guitar?
Classic old fashion with Irish whiskey, medium-priced cigar, sunset against the backdrop of the metropolis and this video in the speakers. The perfect evening has been created
Justin, you are one of the very best bottle neck resonator players alive today. Your feeling for the old delta blues is as good as it gets. Keep on picking.
It is a very fine thing that younger generations of musicians play this kind of good old music. Thank you! :)
⁴
In Italy the delta blues is little known, but it is among the most evocative music of all. BRAVO
do you know Roy Rogers (not the cowboy)
@@robpattison6606 I know he is a very good guitarist, by the way with john lee hooker, but I have never listened to him, I will for sure👍
The world has gotten very small. I extend my hand across the sea to you.
I've loved the blues my whole life. How is it I'm just now discovering this guy? He's amazing. Love it.
I literally said the same thing, I’ve been listening to blues since I was just a babe, and I just discovered this dude last week, he’s brilliant
well.. maybe get out of mom's basement a bit more..
I love your blues, my dad played a dobro, and anything else that has strings. He s been gone 22 years,❤your music warms my heart and makes me miss him. Thank you !1
Makes one guitar sound like a whole orchestra. Made better by not singing over the top of the music. The music speaks for itself.
Beautiful resonator--the best music is analog, not digital. Nothing beats the resonator and a true slide---
Not only is your talent off the wall good, but the production quality of your videos is outstanding. Thank you so much for sharing your art with us!
Some sweet Delta Blues to warm my spirit while the entire state of Ohio is getting pounded with freezing rain. Sure makes me long for whiskey and warmer days 🎵🤯🎵🎸🔥
do you like Roy Rogers ( not the cowboy):)
@@robpattison6606 I have no idea, I’ve never heard of him
Freezing rain sure sounds like the perfect backdrop for some whiskey. Why wait?
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Pastor Murray is an Anointed Servant of GOD who teaches the Word of GOD with Authority!!!!!!!
It's the damndest thing, how blues lifts me up.
I'm wondering too how you're not famous, I also discovered you accidentally, As soon as my speakers get rebuilt I'm getting your CD. You are a superb player and some of the finest Delta Blues I've ever heard.
Now if anyone can play for an hour straight that's an accomplishment in itself that's not that easy to do. This guy sits and plays for hours at a time without stopping he's definitely the best guitarists of all time.
SRV played nonstop like that too. Amazing skill and stamina displayed by both SRV and JJ.
@@deborahparham3783 yeah I know that but I doubt anyone practices as much as Justin Johnson because it's obvious that he's the best guitarist of all time.
I'm addicted to this. BEST background music for the whole day! Never change a bit Mr. Johnson. Raw talent.
Wow just found this music and am in love with the sound of it and. How it reaches down and touches my soul.
@@jamesezell2371 It "speaks" to me too!

ITS A PRIVILEGE JUST TO HEAR YOU PLAY!!!! SUPEREBLY performed. !!! SUPER DOPE !!!!!! JUST LIKE YOU!!!!!!! 💯😎🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💯❤️😘💞💋👍
We need more of this in the 🌎
I love how his feel shines brighter than his technique (and his technique is pretty bloody good).

Been hiding under a rock! Only way to explain I didn't know you existed before. Just sitting back and truly enjoying what I'm hearing. Thanks!
ditto :)
"We" had the best music! SO wonderful to see a young person bringing "our" music back to life so beautifully. Thank god, our music will live on!! Thank you for choosing this venue, and for sharing it with us. Warms the old soul!
Hamburg,Nothern Germany. Great !!
Oh man ! What a musik !!!
FINALLY someone who actually plays one (or more) of these! All I have been able to find is people that show how to play one. I don't want to learn how to play one, I just want to hear someone else playing one!!! I love how these sound. One of my favorite, if not my favorite instruments. Such a great sound and you play them well!!!
This just makes me feel sooooo chilled. Like a massage of the soul.
It all sounds familiar and fresh at the same time. Thanks a ton for doing what you do.
WOW! It's been a long time since I've been to the States, but this music is always a turn on! Thank you, Mr. Johnson!!!! You brought me back to my young times!
Imma Nashville resident and have accidentally been blessed with seeing Mr Johnson play. Doing shots of whiskey while he played was like . . . , Well . . . , twaz like sound became some kinda soulish incense of praise from the heart to God. Very mystical, transformative!
Gosh, I’ve always loved the blues on the guitar and piano!. You are one of my guitar heroes man! You are incredible! .
Rip it up brother rip up them blue's man you sound great really man great. I have been a outlaw truck driver for 44 year's now, i got the speakers blasting right now as you play I can never get enough of the sound your putting out. My speakers are smokin , I was jamming out while you were playing Curtis lowe. I wish I would have found you sooner. That's alright I got ya now. Keep it up man I will follow you checking you out from time to time. Keep Rocking. Thanks, Duane
Thank you for playing the Ballad of Curtis Lowe.
It's been a fave most of my life.
This is just so much ear and eye candy. I'm listening and watching you play for hours at a time and just floating away. I'm no musician and I've only ever been mildly into the blues before but I've never heard it played like this before excepting Ry Cooder's Paris Texas soundtrack and a band Calexico I'd listen to sometimes. Your style has so much space in it and I'm falling way deep into something velvety and infinite. I don't know where I've been not to have found this before but I feel it in a way I don't feel anything else and it's just a revelation. I had ideas about the blues that were just plain wrongheaded. Whoda thunk getting so down low could bring such highs. My absolute favourites of yours are the ones you pull from the deep dark swamp - maybe because it reminds me of our Australian mangroves and of past days in the sun. Thank you so much for being you!
Thats that old delta sound. Deep south
In a nursing home after a hip removal surgery p, I also played bass so when I'm listening to your track I'm playing and I recorded it we sound pretty good
How's the hip
Just think about this it's very relaxing: You are talking with your friends on a call.. And it's raining outside you are sitting on your bed with snacks and this song plays on TV. Your mom/dad brings you your favorite food.
Got a homemade jar of apple pie moonshine, headphones on, and just in such a peaceful mood.. Justin, I thank you brother for this AMAZING music.. for this 1 hour of relaxing, unbelievable music... sir, you are the BEST !! Keep it up, and I hope to meet you some day
Bravo! Maestro, that was absolutely great! Thank you for such delight!
The skill this man has…..incredible!!!
yeah, the skilll at ease no hesitation, natural flow I 'd say he has the groove, 'cause Ilisten to his masterful playing daily -
I just made a whole venison pie while listening to this. (You have that effect on people).
When I overheard my man "Curtis" , yeah...count me in ! Toto, concert pianist
Love it man, hard to really explain the feeling I get hearing the blues played like you do... beautiful justin
You're a national treasure, Justin! Keep going and God bless!
This reminds me very much of when I heard the music of Robert Johnson. Now I like Robert Johnson, Crossroads, where he dealt with the devil and the devil tuned his axe and handed him new talent, according to legend.
I mean... slide with a shot glass... a TRUE musician! Unreal blues man
To me, true blues such as JJ's makes me relax and think about things I should do. Very inspirational. You are great JJ!
Gosh, I’ve always loved the blues on the guitar and piano!
Here's to a jazzy day ahead! Dive into the world of improvisation and soulful melodies. Enjoy the magic of jazz!
I'm always inspired to play when I listen to Justin create on his guitars.
Супер исполнение блюза ! ! !😎😀🙂😋
Smokin' version of Curtis Low! Bless you Sir for reviving old songs with your refreshing style. So nice!
An absolute master of his craft . Thank you for putting this up
shot glass slider is FIREEEE
Whenever I need some rejuvenation of my soul, Justin, listening to you for even a short while, puts my world in a good place!!! Thanks!!!😎👍👍
Your years of playing strings have been worth everything you've put into it. Thanks Alan Johnson Melbourne Florida
Amen
I jus pick up my acoustic and cheap slide and try my damnest
This video just made me cry, I thought I had knowledge about what a good guitarist could sound like.🤯 I don’t even recognise myself as a decent musician anymore 💀💀💀, we’ll done💯👍🔥

I love those Sweet Delta Bues 💙
My granny was born August 1906 on a Hit Summer day in tupelo Mississippi she was Cherokee Irish French and she could play the piano 🎹 , guitar 🎸 and the harmonica , she was a Mississippi Cajun Queen , if you know what I mean.
You know the old Cajun saying,
Cajuns , ike it Sweet Wet and Hot 🔥
Cajun people know how to have fun 😊
I met a schoolmate at my FIFTYITH High school reunion who teaches dobro. I bought a dobro 30 years ago. Dammit, this is the year I learn! Love the sound!
I have been following you for a while, and you still remind me of my years in Louisiana. Blues played right. May the Lord keep blessing you 🗿
Magic. I listen to you on repeat (with fabulous acoustics in a wooden house.). Merci beaucoup! ♥️♥️♥️🎸
Awesome talent - thank you Justin. Music feeds the soul.
Always a great get away from the mundane.
STILL DESPERATELY giving Me those Down South Werewolf Blues! 😁👍🏻🥰💖🇨🇦
It would be cool to hear your take on a delta blues James Bond theme. Has it been done? You ARE the delta king 🤘
I second that idea!
Here here
Started some exercises the physical therapist told me to do this morning. I figured listening to this would help get me through the ordeal. The first two sets I kept losing count as I got into to the music. The pain finally became strong enough for me to keep count of the reps so I did not overdo it anymore. Thanks for the help getting through it all. Reckon I will be listening to a lot of your music in the near future, more so than usual.
Been through physical therapy three times, twice for each knee surgery and once for my back and it wasn't a very pleasant experience any of those times. Good tunes definitely help you focus on something other than the pain. Good luck with your recovery.
@@offhandacoustic Thank you.
This guy can play.
I love old blue's like this this guy is good 👍😎😊
Music for the soul! You crushed that!
Awesome 🎸 playing ✌️I could listen to him play all day 👍
Gone through the songs, and Delta Moon is my favourite.
Wish you well.
I literally just saw this video listed on YT and decided to check it out. I listened to the first song, absolutely loved it, ‘liked’ the video, sub’d to your channel, and shared the video. I hope reading this brings a smile to your face, Justin… listening to you play (and to your style of play) brought a big smile to mine! 👍😎
You are one of my guitar heroes man! You are incredible! 🤘🎸
do you know Roy Rogers? ( not the cowboy)
@@robpattison6606 can’t say I do. 🤨
Just have to say, "Thank you". I had not looked to the song list prior to listening. My heart warmed at the first few notes of "Curtis". Have always loved that song & the story told. The resonator & slide are heavenly. 🎶🎶🎶
Kid you better keep on picking because of some damn good shit.
Just incredible slide playing..wow....the best
Dude I love you. That Curtis Lowe makes me so excited to be on my path. Thank you for these videos and all your hard work and devotion to expanding the possibilities of this.style of playing.
Incredibly talented. Glad to hear this music is staying alive and well via young artists.
His sensitivity is off the charts. What a gift!!!! thanks brother
Love ur playing abilities. Love ur work and ur incredible abilities. Thank u so much
Justin has an insane ability, I love his playing!
You make this look so SO EZ 😌 👌 I just picked up my 6 string and slide and tried to find a rhythm 🎶 😏 I NOW REALIZE HOW MUCH TIME into this is required with the patience...wow your truly a wonder watching in today's age Justin. Watch ya religiously and have LAUNCHED 🚀 out of depression. Your some kinda special brutha. Long live the LOVE OF MUSIC 🎶 🎵 ❤️

Music that heals the soul. Thank you!
That copper pipe holding a whiskery bottle statue in one of the clips is cool - I am a plumber and and stained glass artist so I notice that the solder joints are copper plated... As Roy Buchanan is the master of the strata caster you are the master of the bottle neck... Love your stuff...
Man the tone on these guitars, great playing..dang it ! Gotta love these licks
Justin is incredible: he's always an inspiration !!!
This music resonates with my soul
Love them dark blues the best. I find great beauty in the sadness.
Amazing..I love to hear your slide👍
The Ballad of Curtis Loew. One of my favorites and you played it top notch!
Hey Justin Johnson, glad to see your still at it. I'll try to get back more often again. As always thanks for these shows I always appreciate them. Now, I'll fast forward to your latest. Best wishes to you and yours.
Wow! Nice play on ZZ Top's 'Tush' at 9:39! I recognized that one in about the first measure! Love it!!😍👍
Justin J thank you for sharing your talents with us all. You are amazing Fun to watch those fingers talk to the guitar!
I get up and shake it… marries to a drummer! Enjoy!!
This video works amazingly well as a jam track. Just had the time of my life noodling around like a maniac :-D. Thanks Justin. Good times.
the best. absolutely talent personified. love his playing and it inspires me to play my dobro resonator guitar as much as possible
Within 5 notes I could hear that Curtis Lowe. Awesome.
