I agree on the solo trips. It takes a lot to just go but it does reset you. I went this last week for 3 days solo . Went fishing, hiking and just relaxing.

I'm a single woman who camped a lot as we raised our family. I still camp in my camper van but always with other people. I've not had the nerve to go by myself, but maybe now I will.

I'm a single woman whose camped alone for 9 years. In all that time I've had one issue. This guy lives in Pahrump Nevada and has been an issue for housed women too. He's been arrested.
I do have actual dogs though, so that might be the difference.
I retired 2 years ago. I go between BC and Alberta full-time in my truck camper.

I camped alone Monday night. There's nothing like it. Sitting outside in the moonlight, having a cold beverage, listening to coyotes. Heaven.

Good for you! The first time I took our truck camper out solo, I went to the Two Hearted Campground in the U.P. I was a little nervous so I put two chairs out by the fire pit so people would assume I wasn't alone. I also had bear spray for bear and anything else I might need it for....lol. It has always gone smoothly, but you do need to be aware. Take Care.

As a solo female camper most of the time, I hear a lot of comments telling me it’s dangerous or in disbelief that I am comfortable alone. But.. I am comfortable alone. I don’t feel in danger. I love seeing the country and exploring. If I didn’t go alone, I would have missed so much. And I have much more to see. Enjoy your time alone!

My first thought was Wow you are brave, but I really enjoyed seeing you succeed at everything. I understood exactly how you were feeling nervous about the dump. The biggest surprises about our abilities is just to TRY. My mom is 90, but she always says "You will never know what you can do unless you TRY....my motivation on a lot of things in my life. Yep....I cried with you...TEARS OF "YAY ME, I DID IT!" Love you and Connor so much!

Well, when your husband passes from cancer you either sell the truck camper you both used or you go solo. I just returned from a short trip to a local county park, baby steps. It was hard and emotional but I knew it was good for me. I will continue to try cause I know that is something I enjoy and David would have wished for me. Let’s do this together! PS, I totally get the dump station anxiety… sometimes people are rude.

I can't camp alone cause I have a pop up camper and I'm 60 years old I could never put it up and down by myself anymore It is a very nice pop up but me my son and his wife have decided to get rid of it next year to get a trailer camper so possibly after that's is achieved I will be able to solo camp and that campground is beautiful thank you for sharing

We are currently in camping in St. Ignace, and went exploring for campgrounds for the next time we’re here. We were checking out that same campground (loved it!), and when we came back to the camper, we turned on the TV to see you were there! Our paths crossed (sorta) again!

We stayed at a pull through, full hookups campground. Right across from Lake Michigan. Lots of big rigs. I prefer a little more rustic campground, but my husband liked it. I love St. Ignace though! Just made reservations for South Higgins Lake in October. I love to camp in the fall.

the truck camper videos are more enjoyable for sure. Doing more with less. Everyone has TT so it's not as unique content. You guys can accumulate as many toys but dont lose the truck camper. Too much invested to let that go...

You did so great!! I love solo camping. I only have a minivan that I set up for camping and do not have to dump tanks. I would love to have a truck camper. What you did was a good thing. It’s important for us to be self reliant. We are better prepared for whatever situation we might find ourselves in alone without our partner. And kudos to Conner for teaching you the things you want to learn. This video was very well done by the way!! I enjoyed it very much!

If it's any comfort, the worst part of camping with my travel trailer is the dump station! I am slow and a bit handicapped. Almost every time I get at least one or more behind me The last two times I told myself to stop getting anxious and don't rush it. No one is perfect so I don't need to be either!! lol Good job!

So proud of you, great job!! Did some solo trips after covid said I wasn't waiting, went on some cruises alone, never traveled alone ever husband could not leave because of job commitments. I had to travel 3,000 miles on a few flights, hotels, cars rentals it was SO empowering, and I DID IT!!

With my truck camper I freeze my drinking water and a extra gallon of water in the deep freezer and put it in the fridge and just use it as a icebox and as far as dumping goes nobody likes to do it you always just have to remember black tank first and don't let nobody ever tell you you can't do it on your own😊
