This is actually incredible. You broke it down very simply and made it super easy to follow along. The edits were great and the playing spectacular. I hope to see more of these types of videos in the future. You’re killing it man!
@@DavisJay hmm maybe you could explain rhythms like 5:3, 8:6, etc? Or maybe a look into how you break down and learn snippets of shows or whole etudes.
Request. I have a lick that's been in my head since high school. Can't find the source but featured it in my senior snare feature. I think it was an old cavaliers feature I think. Could I email you the notation?
It seems to me like nested tuplets are always faster than its basic subdivision. How can i notate when getting slower? One case is clear. When i take three strokes of a septuplet and change them into two, i can write them as dotted (septuplet) sixteenth notes. But what if i take four and change them into three, five to four, five to three and so on?
@@DavisJay Tbf I’ve been learning DCI music for about 2 years now and I still really haven’t found a method that works great. I’ve been doing chunk by chunk which works fine.

Where’s the memorisation of music video at?
Honestly not easy to make, because the only way you can get better at memorizing music, is to just do it more and more

What do you edit your video on?
I actually didn’t edit this one, David Parker did:)
Very informative dude, good job. Maybe you could turn up your mic a little more next time because I could barely hear you 😂
Thanks man! And oh dang sorry!
