just got my first pair of IRH666's and WOW! I tried them with my Iron Rangers and also Black 1000 mile boot's and my self confidence shot up 1000%. What an amazing set of denim.
Yessss! It continues to boost confidence as it gets worn and fade. Awesome combo!!
One of the best channels out there, brother. This is strange but I can't believe there aren't more men out there living the actual life of motorcycling, work & workwear, denim/heritage/boots and making real and fascinating videos out of it. But mostly young guys doing inner city lifestyle vlogs. Nothing wrong with that, but it's refreshing see a mature man do this the way you do. We need an update on those 666s 21oz soon brother. I've had mine for 8 months and loving everything about them. Rock on and drive safe
Thank you brother!! I really do appreciate everything you’ve noticed. I’m happy to share my life through videos in hopes to influence more mature men like myself to be productive even at an older age.
In time absolutely, an update on this badass selvedge! I have a video coming this week with another special selvedge jeans. Thank you! 🤙😍
Great Video. Love your honest, down to earth approach. No BS or Pretensions. Look forward to seeing how they look now.
I appreciate that! More updates to come.
Fabulous jeans! You’ve got the look nailed, Red Wings, belt and white t-shirt, simple and classic.
Hope you’re keeping well.
Thanks Darren! All is well here. Happy Holidays!
Love it - the 666s was my first pair of Iron Heart jeans, too. I’ve since picked up a pair of 634’s, and I like them a lot, as well. Great purchase.
634s 14oz are my next pair.
Thanks Justin! I’m confident that my finances will allow me to venture into other models of IH this year! I have a sickness haha! 😂😂😂
@@StylishGreaseMonkey Hahaha, yeah the denim bug is damn near more contagious than omicron! 😉
I could be mistaken, but Ironheart one washes their denim to give it a softer fill
@@matthewgreen4564 You’re right Matt! Maybe it isn’t fair to compare it to the BS 21.5oz since they don’t do that but there still is a noticeable difference even after my first wash with the BS.
Just ordered a pair ! look like a good investment, like my Japan made tools so looking forward to some clothes, good video many thanks 👍👍👍
I’m loving this selvedge! I’ll share the progress soon. I too love my Japan made tools and clothes.
I recently got my hands on this brand and wow, amazing products. Straight quality!!! Purchased two tops by them. I have a lot of naked and famous denim. I won’t need jeans for a long time but when I do this is the brand I’m buying next. I MIGHT pickup a jean jacket by them, definitely getting another uhf or 12 oz denim western shirt.
I agree, this was my first IH as well and I am very impressed by it! I’m looking into other styles or maybe a jacket as well. Hawaii is hot all year round. I don’t even wear my denim jackets anymore but I definitely one one from IH. Thanks!
Very nice. Love the style. Beautiful scenery. Sick jeans. Badass dude.
Awesome! Thanks a ton! 🙏🤙
Kudos for being bare chested when you tried them on. In my experience, the best way to tell if jeans fit is to see how they look when you are not wearing a shirt. You picked the perfect size for your physique. The price is equivalent to the dinners in a good restaurant with your wife that you have not had due to Covid. Excellent purchase.
Thank you! Great point. This pandemic sucks for sure.
Just got my first pair of Iron Heart 666s. Got them in japan as my first pair of selvedge jeans and with the low value of the Yen i paid $175 USD for my pair. Loving them so far
Congrats and yes that is cheap!! I recently returned from a trip to Fussa and scored a couple of jeans also. I love the cheap exchange rates for sure! I'll be back soon enough. Thanks for checking out my channel.
Recently got me a pair of 21oz 888s and couldn’t believe how soft they are upon first wear
Nice! IH is on point for sure. How’s the fit in the 888?
Thank you for the review man! Will buy a pair soon!
Cool! You’re going to love it!
as a short guy i can never find distressed jeans that line up with my anatomy this might be the way to go
Perfect timing, I just filmed my next vid “is heritage clothing for all types of me”! Let me know what you think. Never doubt yourself brother. Short or tall, heritage clothing is for everyone and yes, I think you’ll look awesome on an IH. You’ll definitely achieve that perfect fade just for you. Cheers!
They look cool bro. A little to tight for my style. I only wear Levi. But I’ll try some of these. See how they feel. Great video bro thanks.
They look tight but it should loosen up a bit with wear. They are tight though! Thanks bro! 🤙
Здравствуйте, Christopher ! Со всеми вас новогодними праздниками!!! Iron Heart сидят на вас прекрасно!!! Красивого fading!!! Выглядят покруче чем BS!
Awesome video man!! Love Iron Heart!
Thank you! I love this thing as you can see! 😍
Selvedge jeans are awesome. Would you say the iron hearts are worth the money when compared to naked and famous or free note cloth? Of course the free note cloth do approach the iron hearts in price.
I haven't owned a free note cloth yet so I can't compare it to the IH. IH is definitely better in quality than N&F, although I like N&F as well. IH is iconic in the motorcycling world especially when I was in Japan. I like it for that fact.
Awesome review man. You nailed the fit right out of the box. Like I said they will conform to your body and life style after a while. Super excited for you and look forward to a later review after initial thoughts and impressions. My next pair are going to be 634s 14oz. Take care and Aloha!
Awesome Steven! Thanks for the heads up on these jeans. I love it so far!!

After the first initial uncomfortable period it will be worth it I promise. Breaking in quality heavy weight raw Selvedge denim might be a pain but once you do they are yours. I relate it to quality leather boots. They are stiff and rugged that will blister your feet for the first ten miles but once they conform and break to your life they will be your companion on your journey.
I did a lot of squats and stretching when I first got mine. I also didn’t wear a belt and if I did it was fairly loose to help with the denim stretch. I also opted from doing an initial soak since they are sanforized. I wanted to loosen up the fibers as much as possible to conform to my body and lifestyle. When you do soak them make sure you put them on when they are still slightly damp and do some squats and lunges to help re conform them to you. Then hang and dry completely. They might shrink slightly but shouldn’t be smaller than when they were brand new.
Can’t wait to see more videos of you with them and see what kind of story they tell a year from now.
@@pennhahn Haha, what a process. It’ll be a fun video to share especially wearing it while still damp. Thanks brother!
Hey Uncle,
Just checking in to see how they fit. Hopefully they opened up since new. Hope all is well with you and your ohana. Take care and love your content.
You definitely need a pair of nicks boots to go with them jeans. You like them better then brave star?
Here we go!!!
Yes indeed! I went to the dark side Ben! 😀
@@StylishGreaseMonkey look great though man
I love the 888 tapered cut. It’s perfect for thicker thighs etc.
Same here but on him the 666 looks very nice imho. I plan try on a 777 next time as i'm actually pretty skinny but as you said thicker thighs...
I like the fit of the 777 ad 666 (low waist) but I'm about to change my mind again and try the 888. We will see how I like that one.
Your slickback is bomb!
Thanks!
Hey ! love the channel and the vibes ! A quick question: where do u get your white tees ( the tight cut around the neck is nice) Thanks !
Thanks a ton! I love the tag-less Hanes. I have a few from Uniqlo also and in this vid.
Sir
Thank you for your video . Please may I have your take on the waist to be ordered for model 666 . Thank you so much again and merry Christmas and HNY
I really apologize for the late reply. I took a super long break from YT. I am a size 34 and I ordered a size 33 in anticipation of it stretching out.
Thanks for the video bro!
Which one do you recommend 666 or 777 in comfortable or not to tight?
Hey thanks! Both are almost the same cut but the 777 I have is 25 oz. A pain in the butt to break in. Both are low rise and sits low on my hip. I’m actually considering buying an 888 due to the mid/high rise cut.
Sorry, long answer to a short question. I like the 666s but would get a size 34 next time instead of the 33 I got here. It’s finally loosened up a bit so it’s no longer that tight!!
Do we get an update on these bad boys? I think they look great on you btw
Thanks Robert. I’m still breaking them in. I’ll do an update soon! Loving them for sure!
Hey Stylish. I got inspired by your videos and want to incorporate vintage style in my wardrobe. I’m thinking about getting the devils cut since I’m coming from Levi’s 511 and 541. What are your measurements ? I’m a pretty short guy and 36 in length is waaaay to long for me
Hey thanks brother! I appreciate that. I’m 6 feet tall and about 210 lbs. I wear a 34/32 on my normal jeans measurements. 34/30 actually works fine but I like to cuff my selvedge jeans so I go crazy and wear a 36 in length.
Most selvedge jeans website will have a how to graph on your actual measurements and the equivalent of what you should order.
Good luck on your heritage adventures!!
@@StylishGreaseMonkey thank you sir for your insight
Question: do selvedge jeans stretch around the calves and thigh area? Because I went to try them on in person (I’m talking about 3sixteen shadow denim) and they fit like really tight on me. I’m 180 lbs. Do they eventually stretch to fit more lose fit?
Sanforized selvedge do stretch (some more than others). There are pre-washed unsanforized jeans that do not shrink but most do. The Shadow is raw denim which is designed to shrink. I would discuss your options with the store to make sure you are buying something that will eventually fit better. I had raw denim on LEVIs jeans and I bought it in 36x36. It now fits like a 33.5x32. They are different from each other. Thanks and good luck!
Is it not too hot for Hawaii's climate?
Not bad at all. I don’t wear it all the time but more when I’m riding.
Great looking jeans. Are they stretching out at all?
Thanks Joseph! That’s what IR claim but I still need time on that seat to be able to tell. I’ll make sure to update.
These jeans love great on you. Not liking the "666" number, so I would not wear them. Thank u for sharing your video!!!
Thank you! 🙏🤙
I feel the same way about that number and I wouldn’t wear them either but I am a denim fan and have lots of pairs.
What's wrong with the 666 number?
Put some black ink over the 666
Which denim do you recommend for a complete beginner, looking for my first ever pair. I am 22 years old.
I love the fact that Bravestar or Gustin have affordable Japanese Selvedge. That’s where I started. But if money (and your conscience) is not a factor then why not the high end selvedge jeans like IH, Momotaro, Samurai.. etc. Honestly, you really only need one to wear out and create a story from!
Check out naked and famous or unbranded. Great quality and affordable
Im a 34/32 in Levis straight fit. What size would i be in Iron heart?
I wear the same true size and I purchased a 33/34 IH. It’s tight at the waist and legs. It’s got a lowe rise and feels like it’s going to fall off. It’s supposed to stretch though..
I’m a 32/32 in Levi’s. I literally just bought my 1st pair of Iron Hearts last weekend. 555, 32w, 16 oz slubby. (I love the slub look and fabric.). The whole jeans is comfortable, except that top button is quite tight. The store I bought it from said the jeans will eventually stretch anywhere from 1/2 inch to 2 inches. As of right now, I don’t know if I can “suffer” thru the break in period and I’m really skeptical that it will stretch enough that it will be comfortable. I may return it for a 33. I messaged Self Edge…they told me that “Iron Heart jeans run a full one to two sizes smaller than any Levi’s model.” Their words.
So, I have “experts” telling me to size up 1 or 2 sizes. Other people saying true to size. And yet others…size down. 🤷🏻. I’ve watched a ton of videos, gone on Iron Heart’s forums, etc…..no one talks about the sizing. Everyone talks about the fading, the whiskers/honeycombs, the fits, but no one talks about the break in period, what to really expect, how long it takes, if it actually did stretch out the inch or 2, etc…. The usual 3 month, 6 month, 1 year reviews are almost always talking about the fade. No one talks about the shrinking or stretching out.
@@d05wtt Thank you for this comment. I just talked about sizing on a recent video I released. I’ll talk about it more to clarify things a bit.
are you wearing the same size as brave star?
I do. The idea that it will stretch an inch on all sides should be optimal for fit, but, it takes light years to even get there. My next IH will be a 34 waist which is my actual size. I’ll do a video of it.
Alot of folks ain't gone like this comment...but try some "Chinese" selvedge brand's.... "Red Tornado" "Sauce Zhan" type of jeans!
Not an issue since most things being sold comes from them. I just prefer not to for now with selvedge.
Well I have some 17oz red tornadoes cut like SD-107's, 14.5oz Black warp/Blue weft red tornadoes cut like levi's 511's with a modified mid vs Low rise. Both amazing construction for the price, heavy twill pocket bag's! 1/2 lined back pockets + back pocket rivets!! After watching your video and surfing reddit for information I purchased some iron heart slubby 16oz 888's and the difference is night and day! I look forward to continuing my new addiction! I'm hooked! Thank you for your attention to detail and positive vibes!
Aloha SGM, ima long time subscriber of yours. I’ve been loving your style and seeing that this video was uploaded about a year ago, would you be willing to make an update video of these Iron Heart 666 model or answer a fit question ? I committed to this pair and bought it this week. They ARE a bit tight in the waist for me right now. Probably b/c I’m a fata#$ or maybe they’re just new 😂. Have they stretched in waist for you and became more comfortable throughout 1 year of owning them ? I’m contemplating on exchanging for a bigger size (30days) all tags still intact 😎 . Thank you
Aloha Gio! I will definitely make an updated fit vid of the 666. Congrats on your purchase. Mine was TIGHT when I bought it and have stretched out a bit and fits me better for sure. I also lost some lbs. lately so yes they are just there now. Initially I couldn’t even button them haha…
I admire bravestar but just can't bring myself to comitting a purchase, as their pronounced *star* branding makes their jeans look like a little kid brand.
For the record I don't have trucknuts or flames on the side of my vehicle.
😂 you’re funny! Neither do I. I never really thought of anything in regards to that star.
may i know what's your height? in metric preferably ehe
182.8 cm and 97.5 kg. I have an average waist (34 inches). I normally wear my jeans low. Hope this helps!
I think you should have sized up and got a 888
Definitely an opportunity to buy the 888 in the future!
@@StylishGreaseMonkey I have the same body type and the low rise are just a killer I need room in the thighs, balls and ass.
them some nut huggers bro.
LMAO, yes they are!
