Here's what I think about the IRON HEART 777XHS 25oz. Extra Heavy Selvedge jeans. I thought that I was impressed with the 666s but this one is on another level.
Iron Heart 777XHS 25 oz. Extra Heavy Selvedge:
- Made in Japan
- Slim straight cut
- Low/Medium rise
- 25oz rope dyed indigo warp, natural weft Japanese selvedge denim
- Lined rear pockets
- Button fly and hidden rivets
- Belt loops sewn into waistband
- Poly/cotton constructional stitching
- Selvedge side seams and fly construction
- Sanforized and no wash - expected to shrink one inch in waist and length
- The waist will stretch back out approximately one inch with wear
- Other dimensions will stretch proportionately to the waist

Great take on that sizing sir, just drawn to this heritage style cuz some of ur videos, went to the retail shop and bought a pair of 555 21oz and RW iron ranger, and love it straight away!

Those look great on you, triple 7's are a solid choice. I love the HD SG as well! Looks like the Denim black. When I ride my Street Bob the 777's are not the most ideal, I have to size up about 2 (36") to get it comfortable enough, but true-to-size is doable.
When you mentioned the triple 6 at 21oz and the 777 at 25oz, technically they both come in each variation, but you were right on about them being the same "cut". IH official, I think it was Alex, said that the ONLY difference between the trip 7 and 6 is the the 7's slightly taper from the knee down. What surprises me is that you didn't opt for the 888's which would be the closest version to the 501's you like (regular fit). No matter, though, the 777's fit you right.
Thanks Dan! I love your observations of both of these classics from IH. I did purchase the 777 at a larger size than the 666 just because of my riding experience breaking in the 666. It was tight especially the seat/hip area. The 777 worked out for a much enjoyable ride haha.

Thanks Michael! I haven’t tried the 634s yet. Looking at the IH website and the 634S’ details, it is similar to the 666S although the 666S is more fitted vs the classic straight cut of the 634S. There’s also a healthy discussion between those that have bought the 801S which is pretty close to the 634S than the 666S. Maybe one of these days I’ll go for the 634S. Oh, lastly, I noticed that the 634S is a much slower fade and contrasts than the others so it will look newer longer. It’s designed for those classic guys that wants to look good in jeans for awhile vs someone rugged. Aloha!

it’ll stretch but will shrink again when washed or soaked in cold water and hung to dry.
