This blueprint script is building my confidence to learn one of the programming languages. But I am not sure how it can help me when I have a total of 15 years experience. From production supervisor to senior Design Engineer now. I am scared of learning new skills (programming) will not benefit my career as I will be considered as a beginner again

C++ is an extension of C. if you are new to programming, I'd recommend you start with C, otherwise it'll be overwhelming for you. if you already know a programming language, then learn C++. C++ is an object oriented programming language, but C is procedural. so they are different.

As for algebra learn matrix and vector algebra and for statistics learn only the basics of statistics (mean, std, histogram, confidence interval, ...). Hi Andy and Thank you for your comment. Modeling the system/plant which uses dynamics is part of the control system design. However, this is what usually Control Engineers (Rob Mech Eng or Rob EE) do.
