Watching from Old Harbour Jamaica. I have a failed picture of an KLM 14 Super Electra 'TROPIAAL' . 1943 it made a crash landing at the US army air base Vernam Field back in 1943 but not one was hurt nor was the plane badly damage.
Best times in aviation history, everything was so new for the time and people so polite and well dress .
Echt vet om te zien hoe Schiphol der vroeger uit zag. Je ziet ook die taxi-weg over de A2, KLM nummer 1!

I960 I flew KLM DC7C Schipol to Idlewild, but can't remember how long it took. Can anyone tell me?
KLM didn't get the 747's till 1971 not 1967.
The 747 was relased in 1969...
