I am very proud of KLM Airlines , specially in the year of the "80s a very productive airlines company. We were asked to make a film advertising compaign all over the world where KLM flown ..the film shown allover the world and even place in the business & airlines magazines and posters . and we won as the best AIRLINES OF THE WORLD. in the 1980's. I hope KLM Airlines will find a way again to become the best Airlines again in the world. God blessKLM & Airfrance...
only memories in 1990 when I was a small boy going to great Britain from Nairobi, Kenya at jomo Kenyatta airport ,we landed in Amsterdam took another plane from Amsterdam to Heathrow airport.still remember the beautiful blue coloured seats.when we landed in Heathrow airport another smiling air hostess gave me crayons branded with beautiful blue colours of KLM airlines. There services were excellent .My dad used to work with KLM airlines in Nairobi Kenya at jomo Kenyatta international airport.
@BesteKanaal1I'm not American I'm Australian. And yes while I do find the ACT and the Pan Am crew slightly responsible, You never take off from a runway without a clearance. Its a cardinal rule of aviation. Van Zanten was so desperate to take off and not get over his duty time limits he completely ignored his fellow crew about the danger and he proceeded. That's all.
Don't think KLM should be blowing its trumpet as they are responsible for the worst civilian aircrash primarily caused by Capt Jacob Van Zanten on 27th March 1977 at Tenerife........ ✈✈😭😭

At 1:15, did KLM have the stairs in the front of the upperdeck in '88? Or, were the seats facing backward?
Nothing about the crash in Tenerife
I don't think that's something KLM is really proud of, And anyway you don't really talk about a crash that was mainly your responsibility.
