You stop and go back as much as you need to, Dimash fans never get tired of hearing him over & over & over and we know that you will spend hours of your off camera time exploring every aspect of Dimash and his music and his history and enjoying his dongs from beginning to end.
His is not the kind of music, in my opinion, that one listens to say while driving or doing housework...(atleast in the beginning of the journey) because he is as much visual as lyrical. Like you said, he is the music, he becomes the music, it takes over his whole being, his body, his hands, his facial expressions. He's a joy to witness...his poise & grace, his lithe and statuesque physique, his bold and beautiful wardrobe choices...he is the whole package. This song is old. She's over 20 years old. Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath. Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis.

Sinful Passion was originally performed in 1998 by a Russian-based Kazakh band called A-Studio. The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in an interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish".
Dimash modified the traditional vocal trill by adding a Yakuti yodel technique as well as a maqam which is a system of oriental scales, melodic phrases and ornamentation techniques. He did it all to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced these classical and oriental techniques into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world.

Hi! I'm really appreciating your reactions to Dimash. Especially this one. I only discovered Dimash a couple months ago. I'm from a Typical Midwestern Tiny Town, and grew up on classic rock, I'm 65 so a child of the 70s. Had friends in a band, etc. I've always loved any good music, not a fan of some, but hey, to each their own. I really liked your comment about Dimash being IN the music. I feel the same, it's kinda like a violin solo or something. When he does those amazing angelic and perfect arias, he is the instrument solo. I get that quiver in the gut, tears spring to my eyes, and it's a joy I can't describe. I've always felt emotional for traditional music. I have Scottish heritage so haha, bagpipes make me cry. Dimash had that affect on me immediately. And I devoured his playlist. But I digress, I just wanted to say, love your attitude, you seem like someone I have known. I want to listen to some of your music as well, meaning to check out some more asap. I really liked the shorts you did at the end. Nice. I thank you dude, you're great.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The The Band composer of the song, is also from Kazakhstan and this version of Dimash revitalized the song. The song was originally played in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Kazakhstan's pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The main singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and died in 2015 of a heart attack: His name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics of the song are by the famous Russian poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist at A'Studio, with long hair and a mustache.

You nailed it. He doesn't just sing... he becomes one with the song. He lives it... he breathes it... he becomes the song. You can actually see him coming out of character after the music ends. This is the difference between a singer and a true artist. We "Dears" are so lucky to alive in this time of Dimash.
This guy... For me music has always been something I had to be a part of. Being in a concert and not scream your lungs out together with the singer,! Unacceptable. But Dimash... Even though I now know what to expect listening to his masterpieces for the 1000th time, even though I try to hum the melody with him, I can't help myself but shut up after some seconds just to hear him do all those unbelievable things with his voice and amaze me over and over again. It is as you said. All of his lives are full of people that stay almost completely silent when he sings. And how can someone do anything else to appreciate what this guy is giving to contemporary music with his unique presence? Always great to see you react.

Years of opera training. He was taught to be in character before, during and after the performance. There is a fancam version from another concert that focuses on his upper body the whole time. It is worth watching that one, too.
