- We are back with another Dimash video that has been highly requested. I have never heard some one hit the type of notes that Dimash can. It is absolutely speechless listening to this guy perform.

I liked the performance he did on the show better, just cus the bastau one sounds a bit too artificial when you listen the first time. Hearing the confessa + diva dance version first helps you appreciate later iterations. By the time you get to drunken concubine + diva dance, it's just not even from this galaxy anymore

I can’t wait for you to do more reactions to this amazing young man! 🙏 ❤ This song was written and performed by the band Studio A who is accompanying him. Their lead singer passed away a few years ago and the ethnic piece of singing that Dimash did was a lament to him. I wish you had played the video to the very end as you would’ve seen his humility in thanking the band and also have noticed a man in a white shirt give a standing ovation. This is maestro Igor Krutoy a very famous composer who came out of semi retirement after watching this performance, to write for Dimash. As you go further down the Dimash road you will react to masterpieces (no exaggeration) where the two have collaborated together. Igor often accompanies Dimash on the piano. ❤Best wishes from London 🇬🇧

Right before the final 22 second run, he ''performed'' (that means he artistically transposed ) an East European funeral ritual, where women around the body of the deceased scream out loud right before the body is being lowered and layed into the ground. It is said that this section of the song was somehow a tribute Dimash paid to the leader of the band he is playing with in this performance, who died some years ago.

This was another very enjoyable reaction and commentary. This was Dimash's 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts.
Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh RUclipsr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath.
This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him.
There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. "The song Sinful Passion, was first performed in 1998 by the Kazakh group A’STUDIO and gained leading positions in the CIS charts. Sinful love soon visibly materialized in the clip with soloist Batyrkhan Shukenov. The talented vocalist left the band in 2000. Without the lead singer, “Sinful Passion”, recorded with the help of an English producer, lay in obscurity for nearly 20 years, never becoming a worldwide hit until Baigali Serkebaev seized it. It is said that Maestro Igor Krutoy, 12:00, came out of retirement to work with Dimash. Think you will be impressed by Ogni Pietro, the words and the performance m/v from Krutoy's channel. Krutoy is Dimash's collaborator. Thanks for appreciating Dimash. The 'little' song, Marigolds is so poignant, a Ukrainian folk song talks about a son's appreciation for his mother. It is also said that the guy at 11:40 went, " What just happened"?!

The band playing was A-Studio. A Kazakhstan band. Dimash covered their song Sinful Passion. The part where he does that riff is a way of paying respect to one of the bands members who passed away some years ago.

Haha yeah you got to get into it when you're playing on stage with such an amazing singer! Love you guys! The bald percussionist who was playing all those different instruments did join Dimash's band and is now a permanent band member and you can see him exuberantly doing his thing in all the live stage performances and concerts. He's has just the right kind of dynamic personality. The band is called A' Studio and it's an established Kazakh band based in Russia. This song was a big hit for the band in 1998. It was sung here by Dimash in honour of the lead guitarist Baglan Sadvakasov who died in a car accident in 2004, and also of the band's keyboard player/songwriter who is a music coach for kids and teens. Dimash thanked him respectfully afterwards for his work with the youth and said it was an honour to sing in front of such an appreciative audience.
You can tell he's talented, cause he can make you feel the emotions even through the screen without actually being at the concert, that's a true talent besides how great his voice actually is. The section you didn't know what it was, it's called throat singing.

2017 he was 22 years old . Depending on what's the date on this performance you can guess he's age. He's well prepared in music but I feel he's an old soul.
In this song, he was either 22 or 23 years old. The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.

7:57 Dimash, sang the Diva Dance in his 2017 Bastau concert. There are earlier versions such as from the Chinese I Am a Singer contest where he came in 2nd. The organizers did not allow a foreigner to take the top price. The winner has long been forgotten; while Dimash is now a global superstar! There us also a rare clip of him performing the Diva Dance when he was a teenager.

I think you may find watching "The Singer 2017" show fascinating on RUclips, but don't forget closed captions for Eng. subtitles. It shows the growth of Dimash on the show. He was invited to the show as a "dark horse". The first foreigner and the youngest contestant ever. They knew nothing about him except the producers, and they were shocked. He became an overnight sensation. The day after his first performance, S.O.S., they had to provide bodyguards and he thought it was a joke. After the show, he remained in China to record and do concerts. A studio with top-of-the-line equipment was built for him. He is still a very humble person who loves his family, his country and its traditions, and his "Dears". Even now he trains for 3-5 hrs. every day.

Enjoyed fellas. You'll discover that with each video that there are specific parts to every video that you'll consider your favorite part of that song,performance,MV. As a Dimash fan, for me, I can't pick a solitary favorite. My 1st experience with Dimash is Opera 2. Performed on The Singer 2017 with English subtitles (necessary, it's in Russian) When I saw this video I froze. Then I replayed the video multiple times (it was 10 times in a row) On the 3rd time I had my son stop what he was doing (he said he was busy, I told him I don't care, get in here now) to watch also. This was 9 mths ago. Now we both love his music and performances. Fellas,you've a world ahead of you with Dimash and of course his fans. Looking forward to more Dimash.

Dimash Qudaibergenov is the best male singer in the world now n he has a 6+ octave n operatic back ground with a PhD in music n that's makes him the voice of an angel 👍Diana Ankudinova is the best female singer in the world now too she has a very rare contralto n polyphonic/harmonical overtones voices that's makes Diana one n only voice of mother nature 👍
