Met $uede at the barber shop last year around this month. I was surprised af when I saw him get out the chair next to me, he kinda noticed I was but I didn’t say anything. As he was bouta walk out, I asked for a pic and he came back, his barber Jim took it and I dapped him up. Crazy part is that I never make my appointments at the time I did that day, and the day I did I met em. His music hits even more when it comes from someone who has a similar background and grew up in the same area as u. My little brother passed suddenly in April of ‘22. The pain remains ever so present. But I realized that it’s okay to be human and falter. Lean on others when the weight of the world is on you.

Back when he popped off big a year ago I wasn’t really into the music, the homies played suede 24/7 every time we hanged out. Not until a couple weeks after he passed I started diving into his music and watching more of theses videos of him just being him and didn’t realize we lost a genuine soul that was preparing for the position of a legend, Young brother wanted to be better and show everyone he can be better and he made sure we all watched. Sad to hear this young cat got killed. I'm not mexican, and I'm a moreno from FL. What attracted me to his music was his rapping style sounded like a Mexican Kodak Black. He rapped like he was from my area or the general south, and that put him on my radar. I like that he wasn't on that typical lame cali 90s look (dickies, converse and nike cortez, long ass socks;etc) played out look. He wore Jordans, drove hellcats and had that southern style to him. That gang shit is wack. This dude was a leader and not a follower, and hate had him killed. Crabs in a bucket mentality. Just like Nipsey's situation. People talking about ''programming'' which basically means following orders and being a robot to do evil. Truth is God is in control. Vengeance is mines, says the lord. He seemed like one of those cool ass mexican dudes to smoke a joint with and just vibe to some underground Hip Hop and Reggae music with. I think he would have made it big if he signed with a black southern rap label (since that clearly was his style) and got some game and guidance from some OG black brothers. He seemed real level headed and not on that gang/raza racist shit. Blacks would have taken him in. Black people love Mexicans. This shit is bigger than most people know. A lot of the new generation Mexicans aren't on that gang bullshit, from my observation. Money Sign Suede was special to me, because I seen his style merging Mexican and Black Southern culture, and that creates unity, peace, harmony and oneness. He was definitely special and I was just getting into his music. Killing this young cat was senseless. RIP.
