IdealBoreal, thats awesome, I love when people focus on the AHL more often, or even the ECHL, so when videos like this one come out, I really enjoy them. I’m glad to see someone who enjoys ranking videos as much as I do.
Many improvements and additions were made to the Adirondack Bank Center since this video was made. The "Aud" is no question the arena with the smallest seating capacity for AHL hockey (roughly 4,000), but is anything but an old barn. Only Elmira's arena has less seating than Utica's.
While i'm not denying that my Tucson Roadrunner Arena is not the greatest, I'd still prefer to watch a game in an arena that small as opposed to the massive NHL or NBA arenas that are your top 5.
Totally agree with you. I thought he sold out at the end by choosing the arenas that he did. I would much rather watch an AHL game in Binghamton then in Cleveland. I love the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (formally the Q) and the amenities are great but it's not what the AHL is supposed to be about (also, I have watched games there with the upper deck tarped off, that's exciting). Give me the intimate arenas like Rochester, Syracuse, Charlotte or even a bandbox like Utica anytime and I say that as a longtime Pittsburgh Penguins season ticket holder. I love the NHL but when watching the AHL, I want to do it in a building like the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, it's big enough to feel and sound awesome but you know your still in the minor leagues. Kills me to say it because as a Pens fan I hate the Flyers and Caps but the PPL Center in Allentown and the Giant Center in Hershey both deserve their high rankings. Great hockey buildings. I would really like to get to a game in Tucson someday. I saw the old Roadrunners in Phoenix some years ago. I hear that hockey is really catching on in the desert, the Yotes are a really good young team. You got the right coach.

Yeah, the AHL and ECHL are very underrated, and should get more attention, I see the WBS Penguins in the AHL all the time
