it depends on which edition they used. The score has options for the top or bottom note. Sounds more dramatic with the top c, i know.

Tim Bear I must admit, I looked at my score and it has the high C written in Susanna's part while Contessa's going down. But to be honest I've never yet seen a production where the high C wouldn't be sung by the Countess.

Barenreiter has the option to sing the high C.

She has to sing the phrase to the high C lightly. That is the only way. Start off too heavy and you won't make it. The slow tempo isn't helping. Supposed to be Allegro spiritoso.
