Great video! This was really helpful. I just got mine installed a few minutes ago and Im going to try it. Your video helped alot. You showed me features I didnt realize I had. Thanks
So now that you have had the unit for a couple of year now how has it worked out for you? Has it lived up to your expectations? Does it still clean well?
I hate mine. Wait till you have to clean the filter. It's a nightmare. You need a power screwdriver to deal with the 15 screws! I'm not over exaggerating, there are literally 15 screws you have to unscrew to clean the filter. I put my dishes in mostly clean and they come out with food specs. Seems like the last rinse is done with dirty water.
@@williamhutchinson8881 I was wondering where the filter was and couldn’t imagine is under that round center piece behind screws 😵💫. My current samsung dishwasher with linear wash is just a quick pull to get the filter out. I’m looking for a new one..
It is so awful!!! We bought our house with all new Samsung appliances. That stupid dishwasher does NOTHING. Our old 400 dollar dishwasher did what this thing could only dream of doing
@@meganfordyce6254 I’m sorry your experience with the unit is so crummy. honestly, I’ve had the unit now for about four months and I am extremely satisfied with it. It does do a really good job on cleaning our dishes and it is a quietest appliance I have ever owned. Granted we don’t wash pots in the machine but for everything else it has really done a great job.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, beko23! One of the best things about this dishwasher is how quiet it is. I have it running right now. I'm in the next room over (open, no walls in between) and cannot hear it. I can hear it if I'm in the kitchen, but it is a very soft water running sound, not a loud mechanical sound like many dishwashers make. I've been very satisfied with it. It still works just like the day it was installed.
No, they are consistently clean unless one of my kids loads them improperly. By that I mean bowls facing up so water accumulates in them. 😅 Seriously though, it is a powerhouse!
I just got the DW80B6060 model. I was curious if yours came with a rubber door skirt? My bosch i just replaced had one and i think it added a sizable reduction to noise. thanks.
Curious now after 2 years if your dishwasher is still cleaning and drying as good as it was when it was new? I'm considering purchasing but unsure if it will last and if I should buy the 3 year addl warranty. There's a new version DW80B6060US with stormwash +, Smart control with wifi features. I don't see a need for this feature for $100 more
I just installed one and wanted to see how it did on the baking dish and was impressed. I was also wondering if you wanted the dishwasher sticking out like it is and the big gap between the countertop and door, or did the installer decide?. I installed mine with the door flush with the countertop per the installation instructions and it looks great. I also raised the legs to take up most of the gap and they have 2" of travel. Anyway good video.
I am glad to hear you just installed one. I love mine. Unfortunately, the installers were inexperienced so they didn't put it in quite right. They also didn't anchor it in. Despite those issues, this dishwasher is a powerhouse! I have been beyond pleased with it!
Most definitely! I have a load of dishes running now. Everything comes out spotless. I most frequently use the express 60 minute and add on the storm wash. I use high temp and sanitize with it as needed. If I have particularly stuck on stuff, I'll do a longer wash. It is still super quiet and very reliable!
Do you have to turn off the auto door release feature for every cycle or does it save the option until you turn it off? My 1year old son gets into everything and I want to keep him form having access to knives and what not.
Great question, Rafael. No, once you turn the auto door release feature off, it will remain off unless you reactivated it. So there is no need to worry about your young man being able to get into it!
What products did you use? the pod and the fluid you added in minute 9:44. Also, do you recommend using afresh every once in a while to sanitize any odors? Thank you for putting this review together, it is much appreciated :)
Thanks Karla! I use Cascade Platinum. I have this on subscribe and save on Amazon: amzn.to/3b3sGTj The blue bottle is the drying aid. This one is Finish Jet Dry amzn.to/2LPH8Wx It helps the dishes dry better and prevents spots as well. I haven't had any odors in my dishwasher so far. With my old dishwasher I did use affresh and cascade dishwasher cleaner too. I am sure either one would be fine if you wish to use one.
Dishes not drying in automatic dishwashers made today is mainly a problem for people who live in humid climates. So keep in mind, even if you live in California, but you live on the beach, you might have a problem with the dishes not drying because the air is humid at the beach. Also, people don't seem to accept that plastic dishes and cups do not dry well in automatic dishwashers. They don't conduct heat or sheet off water well, so they never have dried well, and never will. So if you have a lot of plastic dishes that you plan on putting in an automatic dishwasher, keep this in mind. With today's dishwashers , you should wait at least 30 minutes before you attempt to unload, if you want dry dishes. And always use the high heat options such as 'sani-wash', 'sani-rinse' or 'sanitize' . These cycle options raise the temperature of the water to the maximum it can be raised (155 to160 degrees F), before dish damage may occur if water were to get any hotter. Today's dishwashers use condensation drying methods, not an exposed heating element to dry the dishes. A lot of people miss the exposed heating elements. Well, too bad. Many Samsung and Miele automatic home dishwashing machines automatically open the door ajar at the end of the cycle to let the dishes dry. Most automatic dishwashers made for the home today do not have an exposed heating element in the tub to dry the dishes, due to energy regulations. Also, with remaining automatic dishwashers that have heating elements on the bottom to dry the dishes -- you can't put plastic items on the bottom rack
This is one of the few larger items I own that is not a smart appliance. However, it does pop open at the end to allow the dishes to dry completely and it plays music when it is done as well. I have been completely happy with it!
Has anyone had an issue with the door latching? I have this series only used it maybe 4 times and now the door doesn't latch. Any advise? Please and thank you!
The only time I had trouble was when the handle of a skillet was protruding at the back causing the rack to not fully go inside. This then caused the door to not latch. If you cannot close it while it is empty, then try sticking something or your finger in the hole that it latches into. Move it around a bit. If the latching mechanism had a minor hangup, that should dislodge it. Are you sure it is properly leveled?
Wait for 6-8 months and then deal with the icky chopped bits of food all over. Then try to find out how to fix it yourself because a home visit is over $150 dollars. Can;t find fix it manuals on line for this model. The "manual" doesn't really help either.
I’ve had mine since oct 2023 and it was terrible from the first week. This does not actually have a filter like other models ??? I figured that was part of the problem.
Good catch, Dustin. My original intent was to wash it not using storm wash (which you see here) and then do a second cycle with the the baking dish sideways halfway over the stormwash and a smaller dirty baking dish fully over it. This was intended to show the difference it makes. However, it outperformed my expectations greatly. My previous dishwasher would have left that dish quite dirty. This one cleaned it thoroughly even without being directly over the storm cycle. With the addition of the stormwash it is always a guaranteed clean! I have greatly decreased the time it takes me to do dishes because I used to pre-wash everything and soak and scrub anything that was stuck on. I am truly amazed on a nearly daily basis at the power of this dishwasher. Washing dishes is now far less of a chore!
Samsung actually makes quite good dishwashers. We are very happy with our DW80R7060UG dishwasher.
We have this model being installed next week! Now, I am even happier with our purchase. Thank you for a great review!

It gets the grease off of all the dishes I make - and I often make greasy southern foods too.
How do I get the wash rinse dry lock off? There’s a little lock logo there and it won’t let me turn it off it won’t let me start.
