  • A Nigerian lady named Adetomisin has cried out from an unknown location in Oman, calling for help to be returned back home.
The young lady, who claimed to be from Ondo State, said she was tricked into going to Oman by a travel agent, who initially promised her that she was heading to United States where a job and other good things awaited her.
In a video she shared and seen by SaharaReporters, the young lady said her agent abandoned her at a office upon arrival at Oman where her passport and other personal items were confiscated.

I think one of the ways you could be saved is to mention the name of the Nigerian agent who helped you with the traveling process so people in Nigeria can get the necessary information about your location from him. Also, my advice to other Africans seeking greener pastures is to make sure you check your traveling information before you leave your country. I cannot say Africans should not find greener pasture, but Libya, the Middle East, and the Majority of the Asian countries are not the places to go based on past experiences of those who have traveled there. Please, under no condition should you allow an agent to say you will wait in a particular place before getting to your final destination. If they tell you you are going to the USA or Canada, endeavor to buy a direct ticket and check the information very well to avoid someone deceiving you to where you will b enslaved.
Another important thing is for the African government to start active disciplinary measures against the human traffickers, calling themselves traveling agents. Lastly, encourage your family member to vote for the right people in government. When the wicked rule, the people mourn.

Only way is to get external pressure from the Nigerian government (unlikely) or civil rights activists.

The problem is some of these girls once the arrived in Oman some of them they run away from the place of work and trapped on the hand of Nigerian mafia. The Nigerian mafia using them for prostitution. The one who trade them are them self and Nigerian mafia. Not Oman. The place of her work once she run away the only one thing is to report in the government and put money for her fright ticket in the government office. Once they find her they will call him for cancelation the employee visa. The Nigerian mafia is very dangerous they will hide the girl nobody can know and use her for prostitution.

Firstly, how can we help her & other girls trapped like her out of Oman???
Secondly, what can be done to hunt for and prosecute human traffickers in Nigeria? Thirdly, how can we educate the people to stay out of countries like Oman & other middle eastern nations to avoid slavery and death??

The FG of Nigeria is heartless, they are evil and don’t care whatever happen to her citizens. This is the period to split the country and let everyone go their own different ways. 1. How does she get phone when she said phone has been taken from her. 2. The person who she used the his/her phone should also appear . 3. The agent will hide his or her identity. 4. How is she going to leave Oman even if money reach her hands . She need her passport

My heart truly goes out to the African women who endure unspeakable atrocities in these Arab countries. However, something is a bit off here with this one..I have never seen anyone cry for a little over four minutes and not shed one single tear. For anyone thinking of calling the number that she gave... You should be very careful if she's asking you to send her a sum of money.😩

Malice Intended Then what to do? This woman appears to need help.

@@ShiningBright777 The woman "appears" to need help does not mean, the woman is actually in need of help. She could very well be a scammer putting on a show to prey on the people's kind hearts. Do your due diligence....That' what you do.😩

I am really tired of the recurrences of this kind of incidents. You guys should stop going to all these Arab nations. You people have been warned that these Arabs hate all dark-skinned people.
I wonder how the African leaders are still allowing these illegal traveling businesses to operate from their countries. It is called human trafficking for goodness sake.

At this time, should we continue to feel sorry for them? I mean, how many stories did she hear about these types of situations happening to women just like her. I live in America and here there are many dangers we as women hear about. Should I then follow the steps of women here whom have been lead into traps even though I knew before going this could happen. I have no words, I hope she gets saved BUT COULD YALL STOP RUNNING FROM AFRICA AND FIND A WAY TO MAKE YOUR SITUATION BETTER. I'm tired of these stories that are VERY avoidable

In 2020, you are still giving agents money with all the previous stories from other girls? All that money you gave to the agent, why not invest with it? Mcheeeww!!

I understand your condition madam, our fellow Nigerians out there may not understand your feelings living with those wicked people of Oman but our God is alive He will send people who will rescue you from this condition. Try to send location to any WhatsApp number in Nigeria, just dial any Nigeria phone number, start it like this +234........ example If the number is 080 then put +23480.
