“First of all, you’re dressed like a ghostbuster” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The best comment of the whole session.
I laughed so hard.
@@BigBosOfDaSouf same!!
Amazing. Completely stopped the conversation to insult Nick. I love it.
"I'm gonna haunt you" 😅
Nick: "I've never gaslighted anyone in my life", as he is literally gaslighting Matteo.
Matteo: What's Mexican Pizza?
The way my ass just said "kinda you, Matteo."
😂😂😂
(Mexican Mario intensifies)
😂😂😂
The struggle Matteo had saying Mozzarella from an Italian accent to an American lol. I know it pained him immensely.
Fun fact Hawaiian pizza was invented by a Greek man that lived in Canada
I had to check the comments to make sure someone had mentioned this. Thank you for saving me from myself
Sam Panopoulos of the Satellite Restaurant in Chatham-Kent Ontario!
Here im thinking it was a Hawaiian😂😂😂
I love it when Matteo gets triggered and let's loose a "IT'S ENOUGH!" 😂
The drive home with pick up pizza with the smell permeating the car and the anticipation of eating it is one of the best things in life
*PINEAPPLE PIZZA GANG*
HOLLA
@@FAB13 lesgo!
They have no idea- how good it really is!
Ew
🍍🍍🍍🍍
From Chicago here, Tavern style was designed for workers who are drinking and wanted a pizza that was easy to handle while drinking your beer. The square cuts are easier to eat
"Is ham salty?" I really need Nick to be studied.
💀
I love Nick so much. I love how he’s just constantly antagonizing Matteo every video.
I never knew of him but as soon as I heard Matteo telling the story where Nick was brining him home after a procedure and said 'Come on Lindsay Lohan, let's go' - I knew he was someone I would appreciate.
Not this episode coming out 2 months after the Total Solar Eclipse of 2024 😂😂
Exactly!! 😄
Nick asking a basic, on-topic question, "What toppings on your pizza?"
Matteo: "Where am I?"
😂😂😂😂
Ахахахах 😅
The way Matteo pointed to the timer. Such a power move 😂
In every other universe, Nick is an actor on PBS period murder mysteries and plays a real cad with a heart of gold.
Domino's was founded by ultra-Catholic Tom Monaghan, and even though he sold it long ago to create Ave Maria, FL I still won't eat it, whereas Little Caesar's was founded by Mike Ilitch, who paid Rosa Parks' rent when she lived in Detroit and I would happily eat their pizza and breadsticks. I'm glad I live in a city like Buffalo with so many great pizzerias and some even get national recognition among the best in the US that I don't need chain pizza.
Buffalo, NY? I went to school there and found not even one really good pizza. I tried so hard, too, because people hyped it up.
Little Caesar’s has always been my favorite
Joe W. Says: I went to College in Chicago. The city of Chicago was laid out as a Grid superimposed onto the land to form streets (YES, there are some diagonal streets, too, which creates the weird intersections that terrorize drivers who've never experienced that before. You learn to navigate, though) - Of Course the pizzas have square-cut slices - this is a grid superimposed onto the "Landscape" of the Pizza itself, like an homage to the City in which you are eating it. [Shout-Out to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago - my Alma Mater! I just caught some people watching "Ferris Buehler's Day Off" the other day - and I remembered being called "Ferris Buehler" by classmates in Community College here in Florida - never Guessing that I would end up moving to that city and experiencing some - not All - of the things Matthew Broderick's titular character does in that Movie!]
Hell yeah and "Papa" John can suck a bag of....pepperoncini.
every time i’m anxiously waiting to see if nick will forget the timer
This truly is one of the greatest philosophical discussions of all time.
Here in Belarus and Russia pear and Gorgonzola cheese pizza can be found in high class Italian restaurants. And it’s good. Why is it ok to combine cheese, baguette/bread, honey, meat and fruit on a charcuterie board, but controversial to have the same on pizza?
That’s why pineapple on pizza is fine
Excellent point! ❤
In Russia you could actually find gorgonzola and pear pizza even in Dominos! But they're not doing this pizza anymore
(And Dominos left Russia but that's a different story)
No normal human eats charcuterie by combining all of those in one bite, lol.
@@RichardGrantMuir78 the are literally many variations of combining bread, cheese and something sweet in one bite. Brie and fig jam crostini, baguette with honey and cheese on top. These are common appetisers in French restaurants. So yeah, it’s common for people to eat bread, cheese and fruit all in one bite. It’s same if I would say that no normal human being would eat meat and jam together. That’s wild to me, but it’s a thing in the USA. Turkey and cranberry sauce.
It sounds disgusting to me but I can see why people would eat that. If something doesn’t appeal to your pallet it doesn’t mean that this combination of food is hated by everyone.
@@apollinaria1919 Yes, you CAN eat multiple kinds of meat, cheese, honey, bread, olives, nuts & more in one bite, but it's incredibly rare if someone does; all of those flavors would be competing with each other. You are listing normal combinations; those are not what I was talking about.
I will fight for pineapple on pizza rights
🙌🙌🙌
🍍🍍🍍🍍
🙌
YES! Everyone deserves the right to choke. 💙
Being an Italian American I resisted Pineapple on pizza for years but…gotta say, I’m a convert. I’ll hand in my Italian card at the door, hangs head in shame 😔
It's almost as if that chair is consuming Nick
Nick saying "allegedly" makes me 😂😂 laughing
The way Nick set up that joke at 6:13 was great! and Matteo knew it was funny but didn't give him his flowers 🤦♂
so funny!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad to hear Nick finally got that Kitchen Aid Mixer
I would watch a TV show of Matteo and Nick hunting ghosts 😂
But only if they both get slimed. Ala Ghostbusters.
But I’d keep waiting for Nick to say “What’s Patrick doing here?”
Tombstone pizza- I haven’t thought about their ad in years! It was a shock to see square pieces of pizza the first time I got pizza in the Midwest. Look forward to the next podcast!
“What’s Mexican Pizza? Don’t be racist” 😂😂😂
From chicago here...I'm with Matteo on every pizza point! Different pizzas are for different occasions. I can appreciate them all.
Don’t forget the old school lunch French bread pizza… That stuff was so good.
I still remember the school cafeteria calendar: Mon, regular pizza in a rectangle; Wed, Mexican pizza in a hexagon; Fri, go wild b/c we're having French bread pizza!!
Seeing Matteo light up when Nick said Lou Malnati’s was good pizza 🥹
Podcasting during Apocalypsis! That's the level of commitment. 😻😻😻
"Do you wanna go to Ribalta after this?!?!"
Aww Matteo was so excited
Pineapple on pizza is great.
I will fight the entire comment section on this!
The winner gets pineapple pizza...
I will back you, baby!
Willing to wage war on Matteo and his gay armada?
What gay armada, he’s not beyonce 😂
@@SH-sq6pz LOL! I am just saying he's a celebrity, he's got supporters, technically he will be @Pricey_AU's archenemy seeing as he hates Pineapple on Pizza.
I know, I was just kidding around. . Thing is, it’s not controversial or even a topic of importance so that extra dramatic “they think they’re being controversial/hot shit” comment left me very 🤨 People are just out here trying to enjoy things in life so it was wild how twisted the panties got.
Matteo: Sheetcake on pizza?
Nick: I’d try it.
😂
Nick: "the ONE time I forget" Lol goldfish memory 😂
Oh how I wish they'd do a pod that's at the least an hour long.
Yeah. 15 minutes is a tease
Even 30 minutes would be better than 15. I feel like it takes them 10 minutes to get into a good rhythm then the timer goes off 😢
yeah what about even just 1 time a month do a long one! would be fun.
Nick throwing out Nardone Bros as a pizza option warms my little NEPA heart.
I submitted this topic as a patron, I hope that’s why they picked it. this is the best day ever!!!
I looooove Hawaiian pizza! Fuck the haters! They can go fix themselves!
Also Sbarro's is great! Love their Sicilian Pie.
Update: So......I finished the episode, now I heard Matteo's stance on Hawaiian Pizza. I feel awful.
I don't mind Hawaiian pizza, but I'd rather have almost any other kind of pizza if I had a choice.
Growing up poor, Little Caesar’s was our only affordable pizza option that would feed the family when my parents were a few days from their next paycheck. I don’t understand how it’s not good to people. It’s just pizza to me. lol I had good pizza, but Little Caesar’s would still be as tasty. Maybe I just haven’t had a bad experience with it yet 🤷🏽♂️
Little Caesars get a lot of hate for no reason. Well actually it's very greasy but it's a heavily seasoned pizza. A lot of pizza's are so under seasoned it tastes like cardboard. Papa John's sauce is too sweet and finding a good NY style pizza in Central Florida is hard. So little Caesars it is.
@@BkNy02 I had papa John’s once and hated. And the for the price, was not worth it. My taste buds couldn’t figure out what I was eating lol
This may be your most serious podcast yet! I love it. Maybe more food reviews? Just a thought.
Yes!
Square bits of pizza are honestly great ❤
The fact that Matteo didn't know how to respond when he was asked why it's in squares drove me nuts. It's tavern Pizza it's bar food, it's finger food. Two three bites to finish a square then go back to drinking.
Nick’s outfit is everything!! 🙌 another great episode! Thank you! Also, now I’m hungry 😁
It matches the color of the chair
Love the accent on the pizza mafia Matteo😂
Fun fact: Hawaiian pizza was actually invented in Canada.
Source?
@@tobex6626You're literally on the internet already, you can verify yourself instead on relying on other to prove it to you
But it most definitely was invented in Ontario Canada by a Greek guy
By a Greek man!
Wasn’t the california roll first made in Canada too?
@@tobex6626 My husband is Hawaiian, he can verify this for you 😝
I can't stop singing the "Ghostbusters" song.
You should try the Ghostbusters/DMX mashup
@@jlshel42 Okay! I will 😄
We may not have pizza in Tampa, but we did invent the Cuban Sandwich. 😅
Cubans are pretty damn good
Thank you for representing Tavern Style. My favorite!!!!!!
It makes me remember my grand ma (from the Balkans) cooking "breakfast pizza" with flat dough (called Pide )topped with helva (sesame paste) that would melt in the oven!
Thank you Nick!!!!!!!!!
UNO Pizza is sooooooo good.
We dont have them near me (Charlotte, NC ), so when i see one, i stop. I eat there.
Was that Dracula speaking for Tampa? “What pizza?” 🧛♂️
I’m loving Nick Smith, never seen him before
❤

"The shape doesn't matter. they could've cut it into stars it doesn't matter, it still tastes the same" 😅
Chicago and NYC: [fighting about pizza]
NJ, with the REAL best pizza, just minding our own, enjoying fantastic slices.
6:19 - I LITERALLY collapsed. 😫🤦🏾♂️🙌🏾😆👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😂
Canadian here. Hawaiian Pizza is a Canadian classic! You're not allowed back in Canada until you eat a Hawaiian pizza!
Chi Chi's was an americanized Mexican restaurant from the 80/90's. CiCi's is a "pizza" joint.
Glad you said it. 100% accurate
You’re correct, but Matteo’s point was that “CiCi” in Italian is pronounced “Chi Chi.” A C followed by a vowel in Italian is pronounced “Ch”
I'm such a fan of you both and have been binging these episodes!
And here I thought I liked Hawaiian pizza because of the flavor. Thanks for showing me who I really am, Matteo.
My best friend growing up was from Hawaii. Ham, pineapple, and white rice was a weekly dinner at her house.
Amazing as always guys! You ROCĶ!!!!
I moved to rural bumfuck Michigan after living in Chicago my whole life and I'm nostalging out over Matteo's description's about Chicago pizza.
matteo in the middle of discoursing on pizza "you are dressed like a ghostbuster. are you hunting ghosts later?"
I’ve started getting opera videos in my RUclips feed and I blame the both of you
Strawberry, Boccaccio and basil on a pizza with a balsamic dip hummmmm soooooo good!!!!!!!!
As a solar physicist I'm shocked and appalled that the eclipse was merely an interruption of a cultured pizza discussion 😭🤣😂
In Indiana, we call tavern-style pizza Pizza King! But yeah, Ghostbusters!
"Tavern style pizza" THANK YOU now I know what to google when trying to find the square cut pizza from my childhood in Minnesota that I have only found at one place so far in Portland, OR.
Mateos ikk face after Nick said Chain 🥴 lol
New York here, lived in chicago for 9 years. Chicago pizza is either a casserole or a cracker, and that's your choice. If you dont like casseroles or crackers, you won't like chicago pizza.
A cracker? Grew up here and can't say I've ever experienced that lol
I live in Chicago and our DEEP DISH IS THE BEST. PERIOD.
The fact that Matteo said "qué?" in response to Nick, and then Nick just says "'kay," back to him so nonchalantly, suggesting he didn't hear the difference between "qué" and "'kay". Sometimes I wonder if Nick is deliberately obtuse, or if this level of subtlety does indeed go over his head. Haha.
New Haven Pepe's or Sally's white clam pizzas are to die for!!!
White clam pies are not a thing, Sal Volcano
I love how we got context on how far away the recordings and releases are
Tavern pizza is cut into squares because they're easier to manage with one hand and no plate, and still not have it flopping all over the place.
Try Harris Pizza in Rock Island Illinois. They can overnight a pie that you can bake at home. Its circular cut in "strips" many people prefer the "end" slices.....
Pineapple and ham on a pizza are the best. Yum yum yumm 😋
Agreed 👍
YUMM!
Can comfirm as a Floridian: Cici's is chucky cheese tier pizza for grown adults who want food poisoning
“Florida… with the old people” 😂😂😂
“Did you tell your Pizza Hut story here?” Chris- “yea ye yea z YES YES yes yes!!! For god sakes yes” 😭😭😭
Always love Chris's laugh!
Love you Matteo. You represented Chicago's pizza scene perfectly.
"Welcome to Cici's!!!"
Uno's pizzeria! Love it, Nick. Pizza skins!
I love how a mandatory subtopic of this podcast is always about Nick’s wardrobe
I always think Nick is wearing pajamas when the videos start then I absorb more detail. I’m here for his personal style ❤
oh my god so glad there’s a new one I binged watch all of the I never liked you podcast!! Can you please make one on childhood tv shows?
Ham is often cooked with pineapple & brown sugar on top it as a marinade 😅😅😅😅 I think that might be where the idea came from
It's called 'Hawaiian pizza' because the Hawaiians famously would roast a pig (ham...) covered in pineapple slices. So the pizza is supposed to be a mimic of that.
I eat pineapple on pizza, usually with pepperoni. Bread, meat, cheese, and fruit go well together. It's basically a charcuterie board in the form of a pizza. I would say people who judge other people's pizza tastes are the ones who think they're hot stuff when they really aren't.
Eclipse? Jebus how many of these did you save up?
I’m not joking saying this- Has Nick ever modeled before? He legit has awesome bone structure.
I love this duo- Matteo and Nick make my day!
The unison on *”it’s digornio”* has me on the floorrr😭😭😭
Pineapple and mushroom and or bacon. So good. Always get light sauce. Those pizza kids are heavy handed on the sauce and light on the cheese unfortunately 😂
Ok first, we gotta address the hot dogs and french fries on pizza in Italy; second, horse.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This has to be my favorite podcast yet! You are making me laugh so hard! And I'm with you, I hate pineapple and the thought of it on pizza grosses me out. Thank you for such a fun podcast!!! ❤
Nic just being himself is a fucking riot, lol. And I swear half the reason I watch these is to see how Matteo makes fun of Nic's outfit that day.
You both are amazing and so is PINEAPPLE on Pizza! tehe!
Pennsylvania pizza • I think about Cooper cheese tavern pizza.
I was watching half asleep at 2am & hear Matteo start commenting on the Eclipse. I immediately went back to being fully awake and had to replay that section to make sure I heard him right before the first time. Time traveling in this…
grandma, daddy and daddy are fighting again
So cute.
