Gorgeous pens. The resins are remarkable.
The price, though, is more than a bit out of my range.
    Great review, David.

The Malachite is a beauty but the price made my eyes water. One day, when I win the lottery lol.

I love the Mariposa Malachite color way. I believe this one will find its way into my collection very soon. I’m especially excited that Mr. Brooks was given the color palettes to work on without knowledge that their inspiration was the butterfly. Both are delightful, but the Mariposa Malachite paired with a lovely green gold ink will be absolutely stunning. Thank you for showcasing and reviewing these beauties, David. x

Thank you for the excellent. Nice close ups of the pen materials. The resins are very, very attractive. At that price they should be, of course. Loved the ink you used too, and I will probably get some when I order more pens/ink/paper from someone in 2024. review.

Another informative review, but even without the steep price, neither of these pens appeals to me. I don’t care for the colours on them. It’s entirely personal preference and I imagine both are great writers. And I’m always happy to learn what’s going on in the pen world.
    Thank you, David.

The price is for both pens together, I suppose.

They look nice but honestly J. Brooks could have made a better resin color way closer to those butterflies. In my opinion they do not match those colors. He did, however, a great job with those two photographs you gave him tho. 😊

One clarification. I wasn’t given any reference photos, or even told what the project was about. I was given a color palette to work within.

@@jonathonbrooks4232 the man Itself! My comment is based on the photos he is showing in the video. So they don’t match anything. BTW I love my Leonardo Supernova Bohemian Twilight!! It’s just stunning! I will get an other one from you but directly from your store. Thx for the reply

If I were to spend that kind of money on a pen it better have an absolutely divine gold nib that was like writing on a cloud. Otherwise, that beautiful resin finish and the number would be worthless to me. I don’t write with a beautiful finish. I write with a perfectly ground and polished nib.
