Years ago I worked on editing some political ads. Client paid up front, check cleared. Then the client wanted me to make the ad buys for tv. That was a lot more $$$ than editing. Insisted client pay up front. First check from them for the buy bounced. Gave client the tape, told them they were no longer a client and they would need to make the ad buy themselves. Spot had very little air time and a challenger won.

I'm a 44-year-old African-American. When I was coming up, they all was told us if we ever got into these positions we had to be "better than the white man". Always thought that was kind of racist, and brushed it off. They would say the reason was if you got in there and did a bad job, it would be used as an excuse to keep black folks out of that job or industry. By doing a good job, they meant doing your job with excellence and no corruption. I've always operated like that on any job, but specifically if I'm the only black person there. They would even say that extends to other races too. How does that relate to this situation? Simple. As far as I know, this mayor was the first Asian mayor in Oakland history. Based on the way that I was raised, that means she's supposed to do an excellent job and not be involved in corruption. Clearly that's not the case here. So I don't get mad when people talk about DEI hires, like that mayor Tiffany henyard or that judge in Georgia. This is exactly what I was taught would happen if you got in this position, and decided to be foolish instead of doing a great job. No matter what your ethnicity is, no matter what the job is, do the job to your best of the ability and stay away from corruption. If not, you deserve to go. P.S. quick question. Since I was in NY and many people use the larger airports or have business in NY, the guy coughed it up. Never trust ANY political campaign to pay their bills, NEVER. They should have had their own postal permit and the creative/service guy should never have been in the middle of any money owed. Plus he should have been paid upfront with a cashiers check and even then waited until it cleared. My motto in business "Don't trust and verify!"
Take it the checks were made out to the direct mailer guy who signed them over to the post office instead of first depositing into his business account to make sure they cleared. Hopefully, the Postal Inspector can sort it out and lift the direct mailer guy's suspension.

I have to commute 150 miles a day round trip because I cant afford to live in the community I work in .
Yet a baby mama who does not work at all can get apartment for free in same community.

He can and should sue for theft of services etc. I had an out of state guy stiff me years ago for about $1500 which today is more like 4 grand. I went to court and he got a summons to appear served out of state, he did not show, so a bench warrant was issued. If he ever came into my state again he could be arrested. Since I was in NY and many people use the larger airports or have business in NY, the guy coughed it up.
Never trust ANY political campaign to pay their bills, NEVER. They should have had their own postal permit and the creative/service guy should never have been in the middle of any money owed. Plus he should have been paid upfront with a cashiers check and even then waited until it cleared.

Take it the checks were made out to the direct mailer guy who signed them over to the post office instead of first depositing into his business account to make sure they cleared. Hopefully, the Postal Inspector can sort it out and lift the direct mailer guy's suspension.
