It actually is on the DVD, but as a bonus feature instead of being included in the actual movie. Which is very unfortunate because it's such a beautiful number.
Michael Flatley put Irish dancing on the map. In "Lord of the Dance", he delivered exactly what his fans were demanding--Irish dancing, lots of it; Irish singing, lots of it; Michael Flatley dancing his ass off, lots of it. Fantastic show. And this particular act was my absolute favorite.
Michael certainly had a role in it, but it was the Eurovision 1994 performance of Riverdance followed closely by the full show that kickstarted the world's fascination with Irish dance.
This is my favorite. I have done this with kids in 4th grade in my school last year, of course much simplified, and they really enjoyed it. We performed it at School Annual presentation.
I found MF & LOTD summer 2000 at Epcot. I was also lucky enough to go to 2 shows on the MF FOF victory tour in 2001/pre 9/11 but that’s a story for another time. This specific number just screams early LOTD era (troupes 1-4)/celtic cafe. Those that know….know. Now I just get nostalgic for Epcot…those torches new for the millennium and LOTD that fit so perfectly. Right place, right time. Pure divine perfection.
This show made Irish Dancing so popular when I was growing up, but now it's dying out. Competitive Irish dancing has become too top heavy; too many champ level and not enough beginners. We need a revitalization of this show to make Irish dance popular with young kids.
Well, of course we can’t hear the audience, it’s dubbed with the original audio from 1996, from the soundtrack. 😂 The only truly live recording is the original VHS/DVD at The Point in Dublin, where you can hear all the instruments playing in the background, crisp accordion and fiddles, on every number. That one also features the loudest audience. I don’t believe, however, the recordings of Feet of Flames @ Hyde Park have live audience sounds. I think Flatley had those added-in for effect. 😜
Túto pieseň by v stredoveku šľachta vyvážila zlatom a tancovala by aj slávna grófka Alžbeta Bathory..Ale dobre že už nie je stredovek 🙄 , to by som sa nemohol zabávať musel by som trpieť a ťažko pracovať 🙄💥
Talk about removing the Irish out of dancing, this is horrible. Like a bunch of fit robots. Prefer the older ones by a mile. There is a skip in their step!
Brings be so much happiness all these years later

Goosebumps, time after time

The ad on this video was a Riverdance ad.
Carajo que bien bailan
If you know this song from that cartoon horse, you are a legend
XD
Insert traumas of a flash game xd
Hahaha true
I feel like something is missing with this. prefer the old one
This is the only number I actually prefer the update.
It's less mediocre and more polished.
Same thing happened to me.
The audience isn't screaming their heads off thru the whole thing.

Anyone else here from that flash?
A man of culture, I see.
Ruh roh, someone else knows
*vietnam flashback*
Not exactly traditional, but I love it!
Anyone know where I can buy the dots for Siamsa, prepared for flute only? Had no luck googling.
How did you get this? Cause it seems to be missing from the blu ray.
"Things you should never do In a police line up" Whoever gets that reference give yourself a 1000 points 😉
+Nicholas McAuley i don't know the reference! please tell me what it is
I get the reference but I don't know the exact joke quote.
Why SIAMSA is not included on the new DVD? neither in BluRay
That's sad. Real disappointment.
Ikr, what a disapointment!
Guess who's gonna do some video editing :D
Am I the only one who heard Happy's theme from Fairy Tail at 3:05?
I heard it too, and it is giving me SO. MUCH. JOY.
Ever heard of Ballynafeigh
No comments!!!!
Well sexy routine and the music is beautiful ❤

Music is twee...pastel colours are meh...dancing's diddly but fantastically worked out.

Beautiful music, but those guys look & move like Sims!
