what time did you run? in reading i know the K1200R can do in 10 seconds, i've not done it yet and also 0-60mph/100km is 2.9seconds. fastest 0-60/100km i have done was 3.3
+Rob McCormack Reaction Time 0,545 s 60 feets 1,856 s 1/8 mile 6,801 s Speed in 1/8 mile 180,09 km/h (111,9 mph) 1/4 mile 10,374 s Speed in 1/4 mile: 218,95 km/h (136 mph) Final race wasn't my best time.
The Yamaha R1 didn't catch the K1300R. It was the end of the drag race. The K1300R had already closed the throttle. On a much longer track, the Yamaha would have caught the K1300R because the R1 has a higher top speed.
@@mr.allnut650 I'm not a fan of superbikes. I'm put off by their everyday "usability". I still have a BMW K1300R, 8 years after the above video was posted. I do have other motorcycles that I ride more, but riding this cruiser with a nuclear reactor instead of an internal combustion engine is always a special experience.
@@SpikeMT I still have my K1300R, it's an amazing bike. The R1 did not stand a chance, because the final gear transmission ratio of the K1300R is shorter.
Yes it is possible, but he fought his way to the finals by elimination over other competitors. And he believed he could crush the K1300R, which he kept telling me. Then he didn't even make it to the podium to collect his second place prize.

+Michal Teplý Great time. Well done! I have a K1300r myself. Fantastic bike.
At what speed did the R1 catch up with the K1300R?

@@SpikeMT Out of the German Autobahn, the R1 is a senseless bike - to my opinion. Maybe if You're 18 years old an You don't cling to life!
