Great video as ever, thanks again for all you do. Just one question regarding the phurba. I know it can be made in a multitude of materials, but I thought the optimal one was in fact iron, particularly meteoritic iron, although I know that for some practices copper is the ideal. Can I ask why you do not mention iron?

Yes, yes, meteorite iron is the most prized. Thank you for this gentle reminder. We need to mention this in future videos. Most are iron in the center wrapped with copper.

It is common knowledge that different materials are for different purposes with the Phurba. Many Lama use a wooden Phurba because it most useful for their purposes in the way it works with energy. Copper and brass are for magnetizing and attracting, iron is for more wrathful activity and is very potent, many times when a lama is giving ppl a blessing with the iron Phurba it is wrapped in cloth so it doesn't physically touch the person receiving the blessing, this is because the energy can be too strong and can physically harm the person. Some Phurba are made from 9 different metals. Some are from bone and crystal. All these materials give the Phurba different energy properties, and so are better to be used for spefic purposes etc, this is why.
