  • If you're tired of uninformative review videos, this is for you. A while back, I noticed that "review" videos were anything but. They were, and still are, greatly lacking in various aspects. This often leads to you, the consumer, making financial decisions with no knowledge of what you're getting.

I also like the line you were talking about on the shoes. It was what caught my attention.

Are they narrow shoes? I have a wide foot will they fit good and give my toes some room?

I don't mind the one for one idea. However if it only cost a few dollars to make a pair of shoes. I just can't see spending the $50-$60 price tag when the shoes that are given will cost even less to make than the ones I get due to the amount of material it takes to make the kids size shoes. I know that TOMS is a for profit company but it does disturb me when TOMS uses Poverty Porn to promote their business marketing model. In fact when there is an over abundance of giving to these countries. It actually hurts that country's economy and keeps the people in poverty. There is no need to have a shoe store if TOMS is giving shoes away. I do not discount that TOMS is doing what they say that they are doing but using Poverty Porn to promote their business model and using it to justify their prices. That is my problem with the TOMS business model & how they can justify their prices. It borderlines on being a con artist business in my opinion.

The controversy isn't whether the shoes are being given or not, it's about leaving the country in poverty because by giving shoes, TOMS is taking business from local shops. By giving away shoes, TOMS is masking the issue of actually stimulating these countries' economies. - in a nutshell

Then Toms should give away shoes in the USA.

I walk hard and wear them fast on big toe area, ball of my feet and inner hill areas. I apply to keep my toes from toaching the ground, wore all the way through.

I bought a pair converse high tops and they burn my feet. They hurt really badly and I got sore feet. How is toms compared to converse shoes since they are both canvas.

Whiterose Faith Because your feet aren’t surrounded by canvas, Toms are far more breathable. The soles are also more cushioned and cooling, as they’re typically leather or vegan leather, if I’m remembering right. You might have a canvas allergy if your feet are burning.

Love toms hate their marketing. Lets be honest, toms are like 4 dollars to make in factory because they are not like something like Adidas boost because they are just like a sole with fabric which is a pretty good shoe. When they say they will send a pair to a country that needs it that's stupid because they make profit from that, If the shoe cost 4 dollars to make then you pay about 50 dollars then they gain 46 dollars from charity.

Caliskey just a heads up, your favorite Jordan’s and Adidas Boosts don’t cost as much to make as you think. And you don’t see them openly donating anything. So what Tom’s does is really cool. Of course they have to make a profit. It’s still a business at the end of the day
