I have heard this magnificent piece many, many times, and your performance is the most sensitive I’ve had the privilege to hear. Nimrod is so often a victim of too rapid a tempo, or subject to the vanity of an organ’s fire power. You, however, rein in such excesses and offer up instead a beautiful rendition. Elgar would be captivated. Your viewers are, too.
This is so beautiful and the near the end the camera pans onto the stained glass window of the risen Christ and it brings tears to my eyes thinking of the glory to come when I go to meet my saviour face to face.
Moving and inspiring performance. The emotions are felt - most impressive display of dynamic sensitivity. You have blessed me with your expressive playing! May God bless you. Soli Deo Gloria! 🎶🙏
What a magnificent instrument! Did not know there is such a jewel in Arbon! I am often in Sankt Gallen, and have been to Arbon so many times 😮 love your performance too, with the right phrasing and tempo! Bravo!
That was a beautiful offering. It allowed me reconnect to some very fond memories. My mother played pipe organ, not on this level. And she had a dear friend who played it, also. He was definitely on this level. I grew up listening to her practice on piano for hours every day. Being able to listen to a musician play classical music every day is truly a blessing. It's not the same to listen to recorded piano or organ. It is their energy and dedication, plus the fact that you know the player that makes it such a gift.
Registered with a sensitive ear for the piece; well played. Sadly we don’t hear the organ transcription often anymore. It stirs deep emotions without being overly sentimental.
Beautiful. Very nicely done. I was grabbed by the very first chord and had to scramble to put my headphones on. It is a tricky piece to play on a pipe organ because of the long crescendo followed by an abrupt decrescendo right at the end but you pulled it off brilliantly. The organ sounds nice, too!
