Any chance of getting a ninja build that katana and Kusarigama based? Or Magic ninja Scythe and Kusarigama I have an idea but I'd like to see what a power comes up with in trying to get as close as possible to Ryu Hayabusa
Heads up on something cool i learned about buffing weapons with an element if you dont feel like using any onmyo for weapon buffs those little skulls that vary in element their soul core can be used to buff your weapon use it on my axe build its actually pretty dope

Those pain in the ass elemental yokai skulls if you farm their cores can be imo a great sub for onmyo elemental talismans leaving room for low onmyo builds to use other talismans instead i.e barrier sloth etc.
One Eyed Oni tends to get me in trouble more often as it seems to lock you in place and you wanna be close to the enemy otherwise it wiffs. Whereas the snake just chugs on from any distance
If u use phantom types best to bait drop kick easy burst counter if feral ezpz burst if you use brute types best to hug dat booty and use spacing to bait other burst attack to punish also depends on your preferred weapon.
Please do a hatchet build next, I'm feeling left out :p no build videos, barely any revenants to farm. They are super fun and sword, spear and OP ninja builds were done to death already in Nioh 1!
Dude i said the same thing on the last video like hatchets are suuuuper under represented. Like 0 information online 0 builds really. I have my own thats doing decent but id like to get others opinions on it ya know?
@@SkeleSama suuuuper indeed. They are really fun, the throwing skills are useful, good for thinning out groups and punishing charge attacks. I thought the community would be all over them as they're new to the game, but it's just OP high-stance kusa/ninja builds all over again :(

I haven't really looked into sets much because I'm still in NG and my experience from Nioh 1 has taught me that buildcraft isn't really worth it until NG+ and Divine gear. I pretty much just run with whatever mix of highest defence/nice stat armour I can use without fat rolling. Grinding for a build that is only good until the next region, when you become a glass weakling again is no fun.
More important, in Nioh when you reset your lvl you can choose the learning skills again. In Nioh 2 , i can't do that as of now. Is there a way to do it? Or do we have to choose a new character?
Can you please tell us where/when the smithing texts for Golden Boy and East sets are dropped? Can they be gotten in New game or is it only available in New game+?
Warrior of the East you get in the 3rd region by farming Honda in a dueling sub mission. Can't remember the name of the mission but you get the set as a reward so it should be easy to find. I just got the text today.
Can anyone confirm if you can get the smithing text for “Honda Tadakatsu’s” armour from his boss fight ?, I’ve been farming for ages but no drop. I was able to get the text from the “obsidian samurai” for his weapon and armour and just assumed the same was true for Honda.
I'm waiting for this too. But I have been just using poison for tonfas. And few accessories that give 20 and 24%, so 40% dmg increase when an enemy is poisoned while still running the golden boy set bonus to add on another 20% if the enemy is elecrticuted . Then I just added electricity on a multi hit move like wold lions or the other one called mountain something i forget my weapon has thunder imbued into it but scrolls work as well.other times I like to simply use poison shirukens or poison arrow from ninjutsu tree to start. I am still waiting for tonf gun to drop currently

I love spears in this game, I use onmyo and spears with light armour and boy it's so good
The low stance is amazing! you can flip over enemies, thrust down midair, you can Ki pulse+pole vault a the same time etc.
What's your build? What are your stats?
This would go good with the lightning glaive golden boy build.

Games 4 Dayz He's referring to using the Yokai Ability from Oni's soul core, not the enemy itself.

Part of me thinks, its cause their aren't too much Hatchet focused Armour sets, there's 1 I can recall and it's not til late game you get it.

If you go into the dojo you can press triangle to reset skills for each weapon/Ninjutsu/onmyo for some gold

You can use kodama hat, kodama soul core with hunters blessing and high amount of luck to farm a good bit of scrolls in vanilla game
Had to kill Honda 10 times to get recipes for spear and armor with around 50 luck.
Killed him 26 times still no smithing texts.

You can always respec your CaC, so have fun learning each weapons, then decide what you like best

Smithing text for the armor dropped for Honda the first time I killed him but for the life of me I can’t get him to drop the purple tombokiri spear

Maybe in Nioh 1. Living weapon crutch isn't in Nioh 2.

First time spear user here. I love my high stance. I like mid stance too. Maybe I should start to use low instead? I'm lv 24
Lowstance is great since its 2 ways of hoping out of harms way. Also good for quickly put on debuffs.
Low stance is best for status applying and mobility

How you you have more capacity with onmyu when I have the same amount of magic? Mine just says 5 capacity
There's a passive in the skill tree that gives extra capacity.
