I've flashed the board but those options aren't under GPIO, and I'm wondering if that's why it's not working or if I've messed up something else maybe.
Not a stupid question at all! So it has limited functionality with the default firmware. If you want the most outta your board I strongly suggest upgrading the firmware on both the board and flipper! Happy hacking!

Yea I'm pretty sure that's exactly one of the problems... evil portal is literally listed in marauder under wardrive and above targeted deauth... how??? Lol Any suggestions from anyone???
Good to know it does NOTHING out of the box. Having looked into it a bit I am glad to see that the flipper is really a good tool that is mostly useless to people without a fairly larger level of knowledge about computers than most people possess. Seems like a great tool but only if you know enough to get it working in a powerful way. Which is great. Many people may buy them but most will not know how to use it so it will sit on a shelf collecting dust.

If you’ve put in 1 in the command prompt, and you can’t find the ESP32 Marauder Firmware on the flipper after disconnecting from the computer, you can slow down the baud rate to 9600 (or lower). That’s what worked for me after encountering tons of issues.
For anyone who do not see the [ESP32] Wifi Marauder directly from the GPIO folder. Now its under a new folder called ESP, you should be able to see the file in that folder and not directly from the GPIO.

It sounds like you don't have the app files needed. This can be done by going to the Flipper App site, or by flashing a custom firmware on your flipper like unleashed, xtreme, rogue, etc.
I got 6 options 1. Flash Marauder (no SD mod) to Devboard 2. Flash Marauder (with SD mod) to Devboard 3. Save Flipper Blackmagic WiFi settings 4. Flash Flipper Blackmagic 5. Download USB UART Drivers (Silicon Labs). 6. Update Marauder BIN file (v0.13.6 included) Not sure if I should go for 1 or 2 ?
After doing a scan click on the list option scroll down to your wifi press ok, and a "*" should appear next to it meaning its selected. Then you're good to go.
I did everything up untill pluging the devboard into the flipper. When I do the files in GPIO dont show up. After the download, I close the window, plug the devboard out of my pc and into my flipper. what could I have done wrong?
Any clue as to why it doesn't want to work with Xtreme firmware? It will work with stock and unleashed but whenever I switch to Xtreme and go to do a scan all I see is "ffxxxff~'~~xfx~f'/ff" etc.
every time I enter “1” it says “ cannot configured port, something went wrong. Original message: permissionError(13, A device attached to the system is not functional. ‘ , none 31). [9688] failed to execute script ‘esptool’ due to unhandled exception! “.
I’m not sure why. It appears half the viewers get it to work following the video and half don’t. I’ve tried flashing mine again and it works. Hopefully someone in the comments section has found a cure.
You said the flipper has Marauder on it already before even flashing the wifi dev board? I couldn't find it on before or after flashing the board with this method? Is there a step prior to all of this?
Since I had the unleashed firmware on my flipper it comes with Marauders .fap file pre-installed. You’ll need the “companion app” which is the same .fap file to get the program to work. I talk about it in my YT short
Right on. I just got my board in. It's always good to get a tutorial before you accidentally let the magic blue smoke out. I dig the background music, btw. Good stuff. 🤙🏽
i followed all the steps, when it came time for me to enter 1 there were 6 things that popped of instead of 4. it connected but it not letting me scan for the wifi lists
Typically this is due to a firmware mismatch, but there are like 8 different possibilities why its not working. best advice is to update Flipper Zero, Firmware, Reflash, Try again.
I've installed multiple drivers for the dev board, I hold the power on button before connecting, tried multiple cords and USB ports, still can't get it to be recognized on my windows 10 desktop... any ideas? I'm going crazy. Maybe it's broken?
It’s rare but not outta the question for a faulty board. What I’d be more concerned with now is “installed multiple drivers” it’s possible they could be conflicting with one another or causing other problems.
Heyo! İ need some help, the flash.bat file, is shown as flash. İdk if that changes anything, but it says j need to install esptool, i download it, and it says it isnt found. İ tried holding the board several times, like the 3 secs u said, but doesnt work.. i got my flipper yesterday, and i installed the unleashe firmware. Help would be appreciated!
Im now at the step where you open the flash 4:23. But it has a newer version: v2.50 and now 5 options instead of 4. Do I still need to try again with the boot button or do I have to chose one of the 5 options?
Mac instructions, PLEASE. IDK how to get the initial Marauder screen. I'm generally pretty tech saavy (linux/mac/windows/R-Pi) but this is making me feel pretty stoopid lol
Does the de-auth only work if it's a open network? Can it work on a WEP? I have tried to test my WEP with a DSTIKE deauther but it doesn't seem to penitrate
You’ll need the Companion App which is a .fap file. I link it in my short Wifi Marauder on Flipper Stock ruclips.net/user/shorts2xjJQyG5aBE?feature=share
Thanks for the video! Hoping you can help me out as I am trying to flash marauder onto my new wifi dev board but the batch script just returns " A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32-S2: No serial data received." I have done the steps you described in the video exactly. Do you know why I might be getting this? Very new to working with hardware so this is as much help as google at the moment :)
I’m not sure what this error is as some others were having it too and I’ve tried to replicate myself with no success. I heard one person say you’ll need to install python to your pc then it’ll work, I’ve heard some people just try again then it worked, etc. I’m sorry wish I could be of more help!
@@ModernBroadcast Still not sure why it didn't work, but after looking at talking sasquatch video it worked, basically by holding boot button first, then plugging in usb-c and then releasing boot button. Installing worked fine after that!

Hey man, great tutorial. I did everything right and everything worked, however when i select the deauth attack on my wifi it doesnt work for some reason, i have the xtreme firmware on my flipper. Can that be the problem?

It sounds like your on stock firmware. I’d flash your Flippers firmware to something else first but if not then you need the Companion App. I did a short about it.
I could be wrong but I had this happen to and I believe its because the esp32 chip works on the 2.4ghz frequency where most phones can bypass this by switching to 5ghz etc.
I followed every step with success. Then upon the “Scan ap” step, it failed to scan anything. I’m using unleashed firmware, and the same dev board you are using.
@@ModernBroadcast you’re fine, I appreciate your reply. No it hasn’t, I even redownloaded the firmware and redid the steps. This might be a dumb question but is there a way to redo the dev board steps?

The file was moved to the root of that GitHub. They keep moving it around so I can’t get a consistent link.

It sounds like you don't have the app files needed. This can be done by going to the Flipper App site, or by flashing a custom firmware on your flipper like unleashed, xtreme, rogue, etc.
I got 6 options
1. Flash Marauder (no SD mod) to Devboard
2. Flash Marauder (with SD mod) to Devboard
3. Save Flipper Blackmagic WiFi settings
4. Flash Flipper Blackmagic
5. Download USB UART Drivers (Silicon Labs).
6. Update Marauder BIN file (v0.13.6 included)
Not sure if I should go for 1 or 2 ?
Does your board have a micro sd card slot? If yes 2 if not then you want 1
Can the flipper with this dev board do packet injection? I am a bit confused but i am starting to realize that the answer is not.
When I try to deauth my wifi it says "you don't have any targets selected" I can't figure out how to add it
After doing a scan click on the list option scroll down to your wifi press ok, and a "*" should appear next to it meaning its selected. Then you're good to go.
I did everything up untill pluging the devboard into the flipper. When I do the files in GPIO dont show up. After the download, I close the window, plug the devboard out of my pc and into my flipper. what could I have done wrong?
Same,have you found the problem???
Great video! Could you add a link to the STL file for the case you printed for the wifi board? I'd like to print one as well for mine.
Hey thanks! Here’s the STL link! Have a great week! www.thingiverse.com/thing:5798965
@@ModernBroadcast Thanks, you too!
Any clue as to why it doesn't want to work with Xtreme firmware? It will work with stock and unleashed but whenever I switch to Xtreme and go to do a scan all I see is "ffxxxff~'~~xfx~f'/ff" etc.
Oh hey again, Unfortunately same answer as last comment sorry. but hey your question made this weeks Q&A video coming out tomorrow so thats cool!
@@ModernBroadcast Dubski
Hey, great video! I followed your steps was working great. But now it says it no SD card when there is. Any ideas what the issue might be?
No SD card in the Flipper or do you have one of the wifi boards with a micro sd card?
every time I enter “1” it says “ cannot configured port, something went wrong. Original message: permissionError(13, A device attached to the system is not functional. ‘ , none 31). [9688] failed to execute script ‘esptool’ due to unhandled exception! “.
Hmm this is a first. Did this get resolved or still ongoing?
someone help it just says "the log is empty! :("
dont connect and keep failing
Failed to connect to ESP32-S2: No serial data received.
I talk about it in my YT short
so you can use this without having the flipper plugged into an android/PC?
I've seen people use it that way. However that's a bit above my skill level so I wouldn't know really how to help navigate that.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I thought I wasted my money
Glad the video was able to help :D
Why is “hacking” if that’s what you call it so much easier and less confusing then I would have first assumed
Scary isn’t it?
Why do I end up with empty Pcap files ? ..
Everyone seems to know but no one wants to tell.. or no one knows but say that they know how to solve it.
Right on. I just got my board in. It's always good to get a tutorial before you accidentally let the magic blue smoke out.
I dig the background music, btw. Good stuff. 🤙🏽
Thank you for the kind words. A lot of people dislike the music unfortunately.
@@ModernBroadcast do you have to keep it plugged in whenever you want to use it or only when you download it and get it working
@@colbybryant8418 only for flashing the firmware
i followed all the steps, when it came time for me to enter 1 there were 6 things that popped of instead of 4. it connected but it not letting me scan for the wifi lists
Typically this is due to a firmware mismatch, but there are like 8 different possibilities why its not working. best advice is to update Flipper Zero, Firmware, Reflash, Try again.
Flashing was successful but when i am scanning for ap, i get garbage text. Any reason why that could be?
I haven't had that happen on mine, I'm sorry has this been resolved?
Followed step by step and when i plug in and open Wifi Marauder it says "Error, Load Failed" and "Update Firmware to use with this Application"
I just made a new video this morning of a simpler method
I'd try this video instead as it should be a bit simpler ruclips.net/video/R3guIt2udog/видео.html
Bro, you are my hero🤩
Thanks for the kind words! Have a great week!
Im now at the step where you open the flash 4:23. But it has a newer version: v2.50 and now 5 options instead of 4. Do I still need to try again with the boot button or do I have to chose one of the 5 options?
Okay so it worked. You just need to press 1
Mac instructions, PLEASE. IDK how to get the initial Marauder screen. I'm generally pretty tech saavy (linux/mac/windows/R-Pi) but this is making me feel pretty stoopid lol
Why does it say “1 selected, 0 unselected >” when I select and save the wifi from the list? It doesn’t save and all I can do is go back
That is bizarre. Does anyone have an answer to this question?
Does the de-auth only work if it's a open network? Can it work on a WEP? I have tried to test my WEP with a DSTIKE deauther but it doesn't seem to penitrate
Works only wit 2.4ghz not 5 ghz,
Why does it say "esptool.exe is missing" when I plug my board into PC? (Please download and extract full package)
That’s a good question, are you on windows?
@@ModernBroadcast yes I am!
@@K0RAXX that’s bizarre have you done a Moogle search on this to see if there’s an application you need?
@@ModernBroadcast sorry I'm unfamiliar with Moogle searches.. also what application might I be missing.. 👍
@@K0RAXX Moogle is just Google. And I was just wondering if you did a search looking for the .exe file you’re missing
Quick question. If trying to download the zip file results in a new github page with a 404 error code what should I do?
Go back a page and it’ll be listed as a zip file there
Everything matches up until I go into GPIO, I don’t have the application on the board though it said to downloaded the program
You’ll need the Companion App which is a .fap file. I link it in my short Wifi Marauder on Flipper Stock
ruclips.net/user/shorts2xjJQyG5aBE?feature=share
Thanks for the video!
Hoping you can help me out as I am trying to flash marauder onto my new wifi dev board but the batch script just returns
" A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32-S2: No serial data received."
I have done the steps you described in the video exactly.
@@NilsJohannesson just got mine today and can confirm that this works for some reason after experiencing the same error you mentioned!
Love the Jazz.
See that’s what I’m talking about. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t like the music so there’s no more music in my current videos
i did the exact thing but it wont show up on my gpio, installed fine whats missing?download shows done correctly
Most likely you’re missing the .fap file
i have flashed by wifi board and plugged it into my flipper, but i do not see anything under GPIO. any suggestions?
It sounds like you’re on a firmware that doesn’t come with the .fap files installed like unleashed or others. I made a short on this topic and it should hopefully get you in the right direction.
Thank you so much! I installed Roguemaster and it all worked. Thanks again! @@ModernBroadcast
Hey, it all functioned. But when I then plug my Dev board in and go to applications, there is no maurader. Why that?
These applications need to be added to the flipper or if you’re using unleashed it come preinstalled
@@ModernBroadcast so I have to add the files manually to de flipper?
@@Moneyprinter.crypto yes if you’re not running custom firmware like unleashed.
@@ModernBroadcast Okay thanks, and wich of them files? Just the "flash" one?
Hey man, great tutorial. I did everything right and everything worked, however when i select the deauth attack on my wifi it doesnt work for some reason, i have the xtreme firmware on my flipper. Can that be the problem?
I haven’t really played with Xtreme FW as I primarily just keep mine with unleashed. I sometimes have issues with it not working or sometimes when I go into the Wi-Fi menu it’ll reboot my flipper but then it’ll work the next time. Sorry I can’t be of more help
i did what you said but now my wifi board doesnt work anymore and just lights up in rainbow when i press the reset button and when i try to start a app that needs the board my flipper crashes Pleas help
Sounds like it didn’t flash properly? I would go through each step again carefully and attempt to re-flash the board.
I get to 5:05 and thats when trouble starts. I don't see any of the choices you have. I even kept the board plugged in when I connected it t the flipper. Any suggestions? I appreciate your work.
If you don’t have the Wi-Fi murader fap file showing check out my RUclips short where I show where to get the Companion App
@@ModernBroadcast thanks I think I got it.
@@samerhayek253 that’s awesome! Gratz on getting it!
I just barely got the Dev board, but I have a PC and when I plug it in, it doesn't appear on the PC. Am I doing something wrong?
hold the button for 3 seconds then let go as you plug it in. Its picky and finicky
@@ModernBroadcast thank you so much, it started working now 🙏
When I get to GPIO, the Wi-Fi Marauder option does not show up. I did the step at 4:30, and it worked. Do you know what is wrong?
You’ll need the companion .fap file. Here’s a short I did on the matter. Wifi Marauder on Flipper Stock

ive got a question how can i plug this thing in to flash cuz my cable that came with the flipper doesnt fit
You’ll need a type c to usb a or if your computer also has the small plugs you’ll need type c to type c
thank you, this was very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Hey So I flashed it onto my board, but its not popping up in the GPIO after ive flashed it. Anyone know why this might be the case?
okay nevermind I figured it out, but for anyone else running into this issue, you need to be running a different firmware i.e. unleashed, or whatever else you might want to run. Thanks for the video!!
I'm so glad you got it working. I try to answer these questions at least once a week in my Q&A Videos on Thursdays. Have a great week!
im having a little issue, as i did the option number 1 is gave off a fatal error telling no No serial data received
Others that were having this issue was because they did not hold the button long enough when plugging in the computer.
Thanks bro I been wondering how to use it lol
“OH YEAH!” (Sorry I had too when I saw your awesome name) I also often wonder how to use this little device lol. Glad the video helped have a great week!
i did all tutorials my flipper zero CAN NOT DETECT MY DEV BOARD WHEN PLUGGED IN. im going crazy ive been trying every guide for 2houres & hhalf now ;...........
You’re holding the boot button before plugging in and continuing for 3 seconds?
I don't know why but everything works but as soon as I open gpio there is nothing there. it's all empty
It sounds like your on stock firmware. I’d flash your Flippers firmware to something else first but if not then you need the Companion App. I did a short about it.
Didn't work on my own wifi, was looking on my cellphone and never got disconnect any ideas?
I could be wrong but I had this happen to and I believe its because the esp32 chip works on the 2.4ghz frequency where most phones can bypass this by switching to 5ghz etc.
I followed every step with success. Then upon the “Scan ap” step, it failed to scan anything. I’m using unleashed firmware, and the same dev board you are using.
Hmm it’s a bit finicky for sure, sorry for the delay I’ve been sick. Has the issue resolved or still not scanning?
@@ModernBroadcast you’re fine, I appreciate your reply. No it hasn’t, I even redownloaded the firmware and redid the steps. This might be a dumb question but is there a way to redo the dev board steps?
My WiFi is no longer lit and there is a problem with the firmware. May I know how to reset it? Thank you
If you encounter an issue with firmware, simply re-flash and try again
when i plug the board in via gpio and go in the apps section there arent any apps from the devboard. did i do anything wrong? and if yes what?
Sounds like you need the companion Fap file found in my short video for this
@@ModernBroadcast okay thanks for helping out
Dude, thank you!
Glad to help! Have a great week!
Would I also have to have the same software in my flipper or just the wi-Fi board?
The firmware would get loaded into the Wi-Fi board. You’ll then need the .fap file for it to work on the Flipper Zero
i did everything correctly but when i put my dev board into the flipper none of the new options were there do u think u know why?
Sounds like you need the Murader Companion .fap file. I talk about it briefly in my YT Short

Is there a way to do this on MacBook Im clueless and admit I’m not a computer pro any help would be appreciated thank you for all the videos
Hey Yam! at 03:18 just under "Quick and easy flasher" it says looking for Linux/OS X version? then a link. I don't have a mac to test this on but it appears there is some sort of work around.
i plugged dev board into flipper and it shows me nothing in gpio..
