I love how you explain the steps in such great detail. You are such a good teacher because you not only show people HOW to do each step, you also explain WHY you do things a certain way. I love your videos and I'm excited every time I get a notice that you've posted a new one. 👏👍💕 Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for those great tips to avoid gapsosis! I recommend your videos to friends who ask me to teach them how to tat. I have been tatting for 20 years and wish now I had known many of your tips and techniques much sooner. The very small joining picots work beautifully! I made my own picot gauges like yours after watching your video on how to make them. I started tatting at age 61, and now at age 81, I am learning more and improving my work very much, thanks to you and others who make these beautiful instructional videos. I enjoy seeing your lovely face at the beginning of your videos!
If I could hit like more than once I would. I can only echo the comments below. This was an ah ha moment. You are great! Thank you for taking your time to share with us.
I really appreciate, how you teach us, to help us improve, in the beautiful art of Tatting, and the options, and why you do it, the way you do it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I’m so grateful for having found your channel last year. It is all these small but wonderful tips that make my hard work look so much better. I didn’t understand how different it would feel until I tried the pulling down. (I pull so hard and it always sticks just a little off!)
Thanks Monique for sharing the great tips ,and a v clear demonstration 👍❤️😊. ......just like to share: as i did some simple motives few months back ,without reversing the work and just wrapping the core thread with second shuttle, i found it easy to do ,to overcome gapsosis and getting a better look. What do say about this technique....?🙋♀️
What I do differently from you is I work the second half of the stitch first when beginning my next component of the pattern. That second half seems to lock the stitch in place eliminating any gaps.

Thank you so , so much. The trick of putting the trhead over the first ring when you start the second is marvelous. What a TEACHER :)))
Thank you! You have given me a big smile with your comment, I'm glad my tip has helped you.
Exactly! I couldn't figure out why sometimes it was much easier to eliminate a gap than others. It's because of the position of the thread!

Glad you enjoyed the video! There's nothing wrong with the technique you describe, I say if it works for you - stick with it!😊

Oh that's awesome! So glad it helped you!! I'd love to see any 'improvement' pics on my Noo Bear Tatting fb group. 🥰
WHY is it so hard to find your unfolded join video. Looked for three days now.
Maybe because it's called Folded join?🤣
