I have both the Mesmerize and the Max Bias with similar layouts. I found the overall hook to be about the same. However, the Max is more responsive to friction giving me more miss room to the right, whereas the Mesmerize is more responsive in oil (ie shapes more) which gives me more miss room left.
Wicked Collision looks strongest on paper, leaving box surface out of the equation... Also to my eyes the Conspiracy looked stronger than the Max Bias.
Definitely keep us updated 💯💯 Because i was forsure looking to the Mesmerize as being my new heavy oil ball.. But then again, that Conspiracy didn't look too bad either!! @@bowlersparadise2255
Thanks for the update, a really good list to have when i look for something stronger. Question: do you consider Roto Grip's Attention Star to be a strong ball? thank you!
Attention star isn’t traditionally “strong” as it doesn’t cut through oil very well, but it’s still got a lot of hook potential as it matches up core and cover strength very well.
I can't wait for Motiv to discontinue the Ambush and release something more usable. I know they're not going to discontinue the Ghost anytime soon, even though the cover is almost certainly weaker than most "strong" covers on the market today.
Hey Ben how’s it going quick question so I have a 6 ball arsenal 3 solid 3 pearl would you be able to have any recommendations for a hybrid for high school bowling which is just on a house shot
I'll say this, the 5 best balls for house shots video is on its way, so stay tuned there. In the meantime, if you're looking specifically for a hybrid option for house, the Arctic Vibe and the Hazmat both from Hammer are really solid choices.
@@bowlersparadise2255 I’ve been trying to keep it at 2000 but it seems to shine up quickly. Funny I was thinking today that I should just let it shine up and try to get used to it… what do you think? I have a UFO ALERT that I keep at 1500 polished with Tru Cut polish and a Lightning Blackout that I’m still trying to figure out what surface I like on it. I’m a no thumb one hander and love your videos. I really only trust what you say because our styles are the same and there’s just not many reviewers out there doing no thumb one handed reviews
Usually sand it back to 2000 after it shines but if you say it’s better lane shined I’ll just let it go. If you polish it what grit do you put under it? I’m a no thumb one hander
I don’t think so tbh. I considered it for sure, but as that one lane shined up, it got notably weaker pretty fast. I had to re-up the surface at nationals and it wasn’t near what it was out of the box.
Hey man! Appreciate the comment! I personally don’t see the 3.0 being here as even in just the Hammer lineup, it’s 3rd, and maybe even 4th in total strength. I know it’s a huge fan favorite, and has a place in a lot of arsenals, but if I have to cut through some real oil volume, it wouldn’t be first out of my bag.
@@bowlersparadise2255 I can see that! I have the 3.0, Harsh Reality, and the Xcell. My Harsh reality I have it lane shined. so its weaker than both the 3.0 and the Xcell. My downlane motion I get the most out of my 3.0 but I can see how you say the Xcell has more overall hook as it has more teeth than the 3.0.
These so called strong balls are useless because i never get to bowl on sport shots where i can use them. Seems all these sport shot tournaments are basically just modified house shots so everyone can strike all day
Mesmerize is definitely missing
There’s too many bowling balls to keep up with.
Yes the mesmerize would have definitely topped your list as the strongest ball so far

So this is before the mesmerize
It is! However, I also think there’s a chance it wouldn’t make the list 😬. We shall see!

Awesome video Ben, Keep M coming
Thanks Dennis!!
Max Bias is on my list. Debating layout yet.
Is the Hammer Pure Envy top of the list now?
No sir.
Serious request: can you do the 5 weakest? I need to know what won't overhook

Is this strongest out of every brand or a particular brand
I have the Max Bias, ball is very good.
Glad to know you’re liking it!
I have the eternity pi currently as my strongest ball, what would be the best option above that ?
Any one of these 5?
Where’s the widow 3.0?
Not on this list 😉
@@bowlersparadise2255 you guys drop the ball on that one
What about katana strike and mesmerize.
I have the Harsh Reality. If I wanted to polish it what brand of polish do you recommend? I have Tru Cut hand polish but is there a better option?
Hard to beat Storm's Step 2 in my opinion.
@@bowlersparadise2255 thank you I’ll get some
@@bowlersparadise2255 the compound? It’s 320-1500 grit? So is that like doing a 1500 grit with polish? I’m confused

Gem’s discontinued bud.

Sorry I think the Gem is still the king here IMO .
Loved my Gem, but I didn’t see it anywhere near this list personally.
I agree. It doesn't hook as much left to right, but if we're talking about early hook, the gem is still stronger than anything in the spi line.
Love my OG Harsh 😁
Do you keep it dull or leave it shiny?

Evoke but i didnt match uo, i shouod had given it more games before i decided
Sorry to hear that. Not matching up with a piece always stinks. What was it that you didn’t like?
If the Hater was a 2024 ball, would it have made the list?

Update lol, is it the max or mesmerize
Mesmerize would have been an honorable mention.
Virtual energy blackout is strong..
Somewhat yes, but I could probably name 4 asym pearls that are stronger...
Strong means front to back, not left to right
Black Widow 3.0????? Wth!
It's not even the strongest ball in Hammer's line...
