    They call it a "flow-tie" not because it looks like it's floating... It is a flow-tie, if it is hollow and allows air to flow through it.

      banshee107 Yeah I for one much prefer the L shaped tail lights on the 2016-18. Just looks meaner. The problem is people want the Gen 5 2.0 with the rounded lights and so GM foolishly tried to pander to both sides. But in all honesty the circles are dated and old. GM just needs to commit to the modern shape and make it aggressive.

      Shawn Collar the gen 5 taillights were way better than the 16-18 they actually made the camaro look like a “muscle” car , everybody wanted them back which was why Chevy brought them back ina way , now they need to bring back the aggressive front grill that the 2010-2013 had.

    It's been said before I'm sure. GM's biggest mistake was dropping the Pontiac line. Modern copies have been made,but image a real Pontiac Firebird TransAm with a Pontiac engine. It would've looked awesome I'm sure. My brother had a 79 Z28 and I went and found a 79 Silver TransAm with the Pontiac 400...yep the Pontiac was definitely faster and beat it in looks to imo...Still prefer the new Mustang look.

    Nice video from a Mustang owner's perspective. Of course, the Camaro will feel slower than your Mustang, Ford is sandbagging the Mustangs horsepower numbers, and they're making more than advertised whereas the Camaro really makes about 455 hp. I own a 2016 Camaro and I love it, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the Mustang and Challenger as well. All three are fun and dynamic cars, and I'd drive any of them. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see more of the Black Mamba!

      remember he has the new 2018 mustangs which has a bump in HP. plus I believe this guy has some mods too(not sure tho. if he says in vid, then sorry haven't watched all of it yet) so that also would explain why it would feel slower. these new camaros have still the same HP but just have the new 10 speed.

    • @oldblood_eyes
      @oldblood_eyes 5 лет назад

      @@redlinemotorcars2184 really? You think the new camaros would win against the new mustangs? interesting. these new mustangs seem promising, considering they have a bit more HP. I would assume the mustang would take it against the camaro since the maro is still basically the same compared to the 16-18 camaros but with a 10 spd. Hopefully someone out there gets some good runs with both these cars to find out.

    • @oldblood_eyes
      @oldblood_eyes 5 лет назад

      @@redlinemotorcars2184 also thanks for clarifying about the mods! no wonder the camaro would feel slower lol. that's a good difference in power there.

    • @redlinemotorcars2184
      @redlinemotorcars2184 5 лет назад +3

      Raúl they are so close in horsepower that it’s negligible and the Camaro has a higher torque rating so that is why it feels stronger. My 5.0 is a 6 speed standard and the Camaro is the 8 speed auto so there is a difference there but really the only big thing I give the Camaro is the suspension. The big standout in the 5.0 is the superior visibility and far better interior design, when I tilt the wheel down in the Camaro it totally blocks out the gauge cluster and in general it doesn’t have good visibility.

You can see the way they are doing it by watching a SEMA video on the Camaro.They have a lime color the middle will be painted the car color and the flow tie is back on the top grill. I have a 2018 Camaro SS and changed all the badges to black the tinted taillights and third brake light.Figures the new SS comes standard with the blackout taillights and Chevy emblems 🤷🏼‍♂️Great review 👍🏻

Same goes for the 9 speed auto they co developed. Mostly developed by GM but allow Ford to use it and slightly modify it if they would like to.

    Best thing about the Camaro is, no engine tick. Good old American push rod V8, and that's what I love about the Challenger also the push rod V8. The body of the Mustang is great but that engine for one is too top heavy which has a negative influence on the handling. Sure the Mustang has over 450 hp but its at 8 grand, the faster you have to spin an engine it shortens the longevity of it.

    • @AB-coyote

      Out of the est.145,000, 2018 Mustangs GT's sold. Engine tick as you call it is a very low number..... My local Dealership had a couple EcoBoost issues. I was told they were created by adding performance parts, but nothing regarding Coyote failures. From my own experience and friends who drive them. No issues. The only issues seem to find their way on UTube. By the way. The Coyote in the GT is rated at 460 HP at 7500 RPMs. The engine is designed to handle and work at high RPMs. I recommend a test drive.

    Nice car, but with the large Toyota style grill. The front end takes away from the car's design. Two other issues would be the poor visibility with the small windows and low roof line. The main issue for GM is the Camaro is not selling. Unlike the Mustang and Challenger. I rarely see Camaros on the street especially, the 2019. From 2018 sales reports, (GM delayed it's sales report numbers), but from prior reports trail both the #1 selling Mustang, followed by the Challenger with the Camaro bringing up the rear. For this select segment. The Camaros are simply setting on dealer lots.

    I feel like a designer will put painstaking effort into design a great concept and then it gets ruined by product managers and marketers. They become obsessed with segmentation and packaging to meet whatever idiotic focus groups want. They add all this race track feature non-sense that is more form than function in the real world. These are big heavy road cars with safety features and creature comforts. If you want a track car, get a track car.

    I saw the car in person in several different colors to include the SS 1LE..Black and Satin Steel Gray are the best colors that hide the hideous front grill. There are more people across the country that dont like the grill to the point Chevy is considering offering a quick refresh to the front grill sooner rather than later because it has definately impacted sales.. The design team at GM definately dropped the ball trying to do a little too much and overreached. They need to be honest and admit it because many die hard Chevy purists are not feeling the front design

      Honestly even the back in my opinion, it reminds me of the ZO6 and it to me it looks over designed. I don't like this new super over designed aesthetic that Chevy has been doing. It's just too damn busy.
      Chevy got it right from the old school ZR1 up until about the 2018 non Corvettes.. now they just all look so damn busy. At one point it was just a joke but now they actually do look like Transformers.

    I agree, the handling is head and shoulders above the Mustang. I have 17 PP GT. Mustang feels like a boat in the corners. A base SS I drove feels unbelievably tight. Camaro has tons more torque down low because of the displacement difference. However, once you start getting into it they feel about the same. I wish the Mustang had the potential to install a flex fuel sensor like the Camaro (For us guys that don't have a lot of E85 around).

Nice car but I don't care too much about the interior's gimmicky lighting features; instead GM should put more effort making the infotainment system more reliable on the Camaro. Btw the sound on the SS is just awesome.

    I will try to keep this short:
    I own a GT350 and sold Chevy's for a year. The Camaro is ugly and has always been ugly. The 19 refresh is an improvement and was needed.
    The Mustang looks better, sounds better, has more room and sells better. The Camaro has always been 2nd in those terms. That said; The Mustang is inferior to the Camaro in most aspects, and is behind in evolution.
    Ford is chipping away at Chevys advantage, but since the introduction of the 6th gens The Camaro has had:
    More Power(Before the Mustang refresh)
    Better Transmission(Manual)
    Better Handling,
    Better Chasis
    Oil and Diff Coolers
    Heads Up Display,
    Park Assist
    Blind Spot Monitors,
    Rear Cross Traffic Alert
    Adjustable Ambient Lightning
    and On-Star among a few other things.
    The Mustang does have Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control and they retained the CD player even though there is no Aux.
    Its more about preference than the other factors. The Camaro is the better sports car, The Mustang is a good GT car, and The Charger/Challenger twins are something else. I would not be surprised if the Challenger, and Charger sell more units combined because they are a better compromise(especially the Charger) compared the Mustang/Camaro.
