I always apply it immediately after my toner. I’ve found it’s a wonderful buffer before retinol too, meaning I can now take my retinol product down my neck and décolletage without irritation. I use the Cosrx essence shown here, but also use a moisturiser on top (mature, dry skin).
Nah, tried that. But I broke out. Fungal acne. And hives. Turns out, if you're allergic to shellfish or dustmites, you're likely to be allergic to this. Sometimes, some things just don't work and you're not missing out in this case.
I'm allergic to shellfish too, but it workd great for me. I'm looking for a substitute though, because I want to move exclusively to Japanese skincare.
@@ssz695 Preliminarily, yeah. But quantity plays a role too. When you're allergic to something, your reaction can be very different based on how much you consume/use. A patch test uses a fraction of the product you'd use on your face, neck and chest each time. My patch test turned out fine, the real application didn't. A patch test is great if you're severely allergic to something, but otherwise, it's not the most reliable indicator, although always a good idea in case it's severe.
I have it and I never noticed a drying effect. Maybe unconsciously I always use it when my skin is damp. Thankfully I'm not allergic to it. I've been allergic to so many Korean products containing plant extracts 😢
Can u dampen ur face with a hydrating facial spray or thermal water facial spray like Evian, Avene or La Roche Posay or do u need to use regular ass water?
You could be allergic to the ingredients in it, or your skin could just be really sensitive. If you're breaking out, and you're using it correctly then I'd recommend returning it, after not using it for a week your skin will probably go back to normal so don't freak out or worry.
Another reason apart from these might be-which was for me though that your order of using it may be wrong. Do you use any other skincare and putting a deser product in consistency first then essence? That might be clogging the pores too
Hello, I just wanted to share that snail mucin is not a moisturizer, so it's not moisturizing your skin at all. If you use it as described, on damp skin, the snail mucin is sealing in that moisture, not adding moisture. To prevent dehydrated, wrinkled skin, especially as you mature in age, use a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type.💓
Yes, Ive used the two past winters and it kept my skin hydrated. However nivea creams can be thick so if ure prone to get comodones, id recommend u go with a lighter moisturiser.
Pretty ignorant statement to make as it’s actually been formulated in skincare for about four decades now, in the ‘80s. Snail mucin is not a fad. Its newfound popularity is due to an increase interest in skincare in general and adding tik tok, with backing of B.C. Derms and the years of research available will certainly enhance its propensity to virality. It’s like calling HA a fad in 2018. Every brand began listing hyaluronic acid in their marketing campaigns, even when it was already a staple in their formulation. No one really cared until the derms regularly pointed to it and the skincare guru’s of the internet did their job in promoting it. Nothing new about it.

That’s why one should patch test

How do you use this with a retin-A? Most state to apply to a clean face.
Apply to damp skin and allow it to fully absorb before use of Retin-A.
