I starting tying these for fly fishing in salt water for pollock, they worked great but the tails create some resistance in the air so you get a nice buzzing sound as they fly past. Cheers Paul Adams
Wow that's clever Paul , can make loads of these cheep as chips and different colours. Different sizes which is good cos where I fish the macarel are quite small, even going to make smaller ones cos garfish take feathers and small lures from pier that I fish. Cor, I'm buzzing on this so many ideas wish I saw this vid in the summer. Cheers Paul :))
cheers, it has been a long time since i have been pollack fishing, I am hoping to be back in scotland this year on the rocks. All feather rigs work to some extent but when i was making these i found it fun just to go test and see them wiggle in clear water. Good luck
Trouble is Paul makes this look oh! So easy. I tried this, this afternoon 28/04/2019 and trust me it isn't! I lost count the amount of times I stabbed myself got the tape to stick on everything but the *^#¥+ Hook and to cap it all when tightening down the knot the plies slipped the line and the hook fired into my hand! After all the pain it's caused me I just hope I catch a fish or two. As always Paul great work. Well done Fella
