Three Transported After Extensive Accident Rescue | Phoenix

02.14.2022 | 2:00 AM | PHOENIX - Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident located at 15th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 2 AM Monday morning.
Upon arrival, crews found a white Chevy Impala with driver-side impact into a stoplight.
Fire crews called for additional resources to assist with extensive extrication efforts.
Three patients were extracted and transported to local trauma centers.
One Adult male was transported in critical condition, one teenage male was transported in serious but stable condition, and one teenage female was transported in serious but stable condition.
Phoenix Police have a hard closure in place as investigators work to determine what led to the severe crash.

How come they didn't try very carefully lift the stop light pole off the car ,so they could better extricate the victims out of the car .

The point of a rescue is to do it asap. If they don't have the supplies to lift the pole. They wont lift it. It can take 15 to 20 minutes for a tow truck that's able to lift it. Plus the traffic light was still connected to power lines. They can't do much if that's the case without sparks flying.

I just don’t get it, I do not get I see it constantly in these type of videos. The fire service in America turns up and either use crowbars or if they actually use the hydraulic cutting and prying tools they only remove part of a door or part of the roof!. Here in the U.K. if someone’s trapped they don’t faff around like these firefighters banging around with hammers and crowbars. They get on and cut the car to pieces around the casualty. It’s evident American firefighters are very very badly trained!. It actually really angers me when I see groups of American firefighters literally standing huddled together on roofs that are heavily on fire and severely weakened!. The absolutely terrible training these poor firefighters clearly receive puts the public and the firefighters in danger!. There is no reason for them to be messing around with crowbars when they have the hydraulic jaws!. Insanity,
