I’ve been through Kentucky once, coming home from college on the East Coast. I pulled into a small rest stop at night on a beautiful night, decided it would be pleasant to lay atop a picnic table and watch the stars for a bit. And, of course, instantly fell asleep right on top of that picnic table and woke up 5 or 6 hours later when the sun came up🤣
This was basically the ultimate American thanksgiving experience, from the fast food before leaving for a mini-trip, to the gas station stop on the way, to the drive scenery itself, the home being on the farm, the weather, the food there (all the thanksgiving classics + more), to watching BOTH of the NFL games, and all the hanging out and plenty of drinking after. Rest assured-you got a true, authentic thanksgiving experience. Well done, this rules
White Castle has seen its better days in the 70’s, it has long lost its glory, I could’ve told you the food was nasty 🤢. That looked like a nice peaceful road trip drive with beautiful countryside scenery. Aiden the key thing is to try everything you normally don’t eat on vacations to experience new things in life. Thanks for sharing!🇺🇸
Man, you guys could do non-stop travel videos and I'd watch every second. Great content, guys. I'm sad when each one is over. Oh and I'm in Louisville!
I can honestly say that I’ve never been to White Castle. I guess I can thank my lucky stars! There used to be one where I live but it’s been closed forever. Looks like a nice trip down the road. I haven’t been to Kentucky in years. My nephew lives in Louisville. Maybe I’ll take a road trip…once it stops snowing up here! That dinner looked great, what I saw of it. Glad you had a good time. I always enjoy your videos.
Every USA state has so much to do and see. I live in the Portland/Vancouver area (Oregon and Washington). Usually at thanksgiving it’s cool, rainy, with autumn colored trees. Looks like you all had a great thanksgiving. Whenever you have a chance to try something new, do it. I don’t usually like Brussel sprouts, but when prepared and spiced well they can be delicious.
Amazing video Daz. You guys really vacation in style. I hope you enjoyed your stay back here in the good ole USA. And btw. we don't have White Castle's here on the west coast and most people out here also wonder that they are like. I tried them in Chicago on a business trip and they were like a novelty and not a serious eatery. I'm not a big fan of fast food anyway, especially fried foods. Soups and salads are my jam!!

It's great you guys had a fantastic time so great, hope you comeback sometime. somebody should have warned you about the white castles nastiest stuff on the planet.
I think it’s interesting that they call a two hour drive a road trip. I guess a day trip? I always think a “road trip” requires an overnight stay to break the drive to a destination or at minimum stopping for gas a couple of times.
I agree with you on the White Castle. I believe it was the first of it's kind to specialize in sliders. It's basically a place to go to after a night of drinking😂
You guys were in my neck of the woods (just outside of Louisville). Nice to see you guys were able to spend a proper Thanksgiving with lovely people and amazing food. I've enjoyed your videos chronicling your experiences here in the States! Take care.
Just watching on TV you came to my town of Shelbyville for Thanksgiving and I missed you all. I live right near the McDonald's and Kroger. The pecan pie with chocolate is a Derby Pie. Especially popular at Derby time. Hope you had a pleasant visit.
Hey, that a@w rootbeer/KFC is in White house TN where i grew up! The town is named after a famous-ish inn were Andrew Jackson once stayed. If you would have continued down the road a ways you would have see an Austin and Bell funeral home, the Bell family is the same as the the Bell family from the Bell Witch ghost story.
I live in Ky. I was in Lexington, Ky this very day and two days after at Thanksgiving. You guys were so close by. I wish we could have had you join us at our Thanksgiving in Lexington. We have a ton of folks there, family and friends. You'd have been very welcome!
3:13 - I can't tell whether Aiden is being sarcastic when he says the gas station was the best shop he's been in, after buying bags of junk food which the whole family then gets excited about.

Glad you all had a nice Thanksgiving in Kentucky, you should come to Lexington some time and enjoy some bourbon, horses and basketball. I lived in a lot of places but Lexington beats them all.
7:39pm pnw time Heya, that Hardee's you pointed out in Nashville is the same as a Carl's Jr you mentioned was coming to the UK. They are called Carl's Jr up here in Washington/Oregon, and their 6 dollar burgers destroy most other fast food chains .. one of my favorite.. McDonald's going to lose business when that place comes to UK, but the heck with them, they taste salty and processed, I avoid them all together.
What did Aiden say about the rest stop; that he didn't know what it was? I often can't understand either him Daz because of their accents. I prefer Krystals over White Castle. They're very similar, both steam the meat, but Krystals puts mustard on the burgers, and White Castle doesn't put any condiments on theirs, at least in some areas, but I've been to one that puts ketchup on theirs, unless you tell them not to. The meat at White Castle seems to have a little seasoning, while Krystal's doesn't. Those are the places to go after leaving a club or a late night party, if Waffle House or Huddle House are packed. I used to go by Krystal's a lot during the summer for a cherry or blueberry Ice-e.
Any stuffing or cornbread dressing which goes great with the turkey & cranberry sauce. Sounds great, did u have cool whip on the pumpkin pie it's a must. 🧡
white castle is indeed grim lmaoo. it’s definitely more of a drunk/high kind of eat late at night like jack in the box, tough while being sober for sure lol. It’s also definitely gone down in quality over the years though that’s not saying much it never was really that great to begin with, it’s just a REALLY old franchise. Like one of the first chains in the US, so it rides on that infamy for the most part. Last time i even saw a crave case was at a job party and half the people left early because they didn’t feel well afterwards lol. Sorry yall had a poor experience with it! Glad you got some good classic american food to make up for it later in the video though
My grandad and I lived about a 5 min bike ride from an A&W place. It’s really cool, a lot of them have drive in spots like sonic but they have amazing root beer floats. Just wanted to share a core memory with you guys. Stop by and try a float if you get a chance!
