I love Yang Se Jong's acting so much in this scene. He really looks like he is ten years older compared to the beginning of the drama... He makes Hwi look so mature and so vulnerable at the same time that he really breaks my heart. I also love him in the other scene he shares with Seolhyun, when Hwi says goodbye to Hui Jae. I feel so bad for Hui Jae, who lost such a kind and beautiful man. The chemistry between Se Jong and Seolhyun is also superb in this last episode.
I just love the character of Seolhyun in this series. She's not pushy and she is a strong woman. Not your typical vulnerable leading woman. I just had a huge heartache over the ending I kinda foresee the ending however I am not prepared with the ache it has given me. From episode 1 to 16 it gave me nothing but tears however the story is so good I couldn't stop their lines is so relatable and quote worthy, the family bond, the friendship the love for country almost everything is freaking good and it is something that you must follow and watch...But their love story is sooo freaking tragic, specially the "I'll come back to you" and "I'll be waiting for you" lines ruined me and my system. They knew. They knew! They just fucking knew that that will be the last time...more rants to come. This drama is so good.
I think this drama had a good closure. The two friends went through so much together and at the end they were still together. My heart hurts looking at their friendship. Hwi is such a lovable character. Bangwon’s makes me upset but there’s something about him that makes me feel sorry for him. This was a good action and funny drama. The short romance felt genuine. The friendship swayed me back and forward because it was a tough relationship. Overall, I want to thank the drama team and the amazing casts! All the actors portrayed their role so well that I could feel their hurt and love by their facial expressions and gestures. Thank for making a decent ending compare to some recent dramas where they had NO closure to their dramas. I wish everyone the best on their future projects. ❤️❤️❤️
I expected Seonho to die but Hwi should have lived and be happy, he lost way to much and fight way to much just to die like this, i was pretty disappointed by the ending, after seeing his father kill himself and being treated as a traitor, being betrayed by his best friend again and again and again (if you can call them best friends), betrayed by his country and send to death, his sister getting killed, being keep away from his love, failing to get his revenge from his enemy (he didn't killed Seonho's father) and getting used by like anybody (Seonho, his father, Bangwon) and even using his sister to make him do things (Seonho and his father), he deserved a happy end. I feel he fight for nothing, he could have died since 1st ep and nothing would have changed. I actually don't see the friendship between Seonho and Hwi, is a toxic friendship and they hurt each other way to much to still see them as friends.
@@SicaRun I felt compassion for Hwi too throughout the whole drama, I loved this character so much, really so much. He suffered like hell all along but still stayed loyal and kind, yet not pathetic. Se Jong's acting was splendid to convey all this complexity. I still feel their friendship was beautiful, because it was absolute. The times were hard for young people. To me, the drama also says that. Besides Hwi didn't live for nothing. He's the true hero, the hero who saved the country but who will not be known by the people. The hero who doesn't seek acknowledgement for his great deeds. I like his sacrifice although I was so sad he died...
"Looking back, even all those times that felt like a nightmare will be remembered as a happy dream because of you. I could get through it thanks to you"... They're like a married couple in their last scenes... Their love story's so beautiful and poetical...
I'm crying while watching this. The fact that Hwi had a miserable life after the exam' thingy, and In the end, he still didn't have a chance to become a normal person. I'm over attached to this drama 😭
Inarri Prayer I don’t think he was in love with Yeon, I think he loved her like a little sister. It was only after she died that he realized how much she cared for him & that he should have paid more attention to her
Only at the very begining I thought she would cause a problem between the boys and I was so thrilled that she was not an issue at all. This drama was more about bromance then it was about romance and I just loved that.
@@inarriprayer8724 I disagree, IMO he loved her as if she were his sister too. He showed not an ounce of romantic feelings for her but a ton of brotherly love. Not everything is about romance and I'm happy that the romance in this drama was not the front and center of things but rather the bromance was the main thing.
Just finished this drama and cried my eyes ball out. This is such a tragic love story. I also cried a lot in this scene. Hwi and Hui Jae had already known that they could not be together till the end, many scenes shown that. Hwi knows that he can't have a happy ending with Hui Jae when he said that she would always be in his dream till last breath 😢😢😭😭 and Hui Jae is always willing to wait for him despite knowing that he may never come back. Seon Ho, Hwi and Hui Jae i really want the three of them to be together. I feel so sad for Hui Jae that she's only person who alives
They should also upload the episode where Hui Jae leans on Hwi's back while patching him... I don't know why but that was my favorite scene of them together XD
Would LOVE for this show to miraculously have a season two. Like one where Hwi actually didn't die after all. I mean, tons of other characters "died" throughout but weren't dead, and we never saw Hwi's grave....

그걸다기억하는게 누구더라 할때처럼 설현이 또래 평범한 말투로 활짝 웃으면서 화면에 들어올때 (산채에서 다같이 음식먹는 씬처럼) 진짜 놀랄만큼 상큼해. 순간 기분이 엄청 화사해질때가 있음. 광대승천함 ㅋㅋ 그런 의미에서 설현이 평범 여대생 이런 역 함 해줬으면 좋겠당 너므 사랑스러워
I recommend watching the series of BTS videos and the Jenga game on netflix which can all be seen on youtube. It is a great way to get a Se-Jong and Do-hwan fix when feeling withdraw after the drama ended.
Am I the only one who was kinda disappointed about the ending?? I mean the show was INCREDIBLY AMAZING but I kind of expected something different. I was really disappointed about Bang-won ugh it was stressful to watch because I love me some Bang-won😒💕

@@2800Asim Umm He was a tyrant king and killed anyone that looked at him cross eyed. I read all about the real Bang-won and he was a true tyrant. His son, though was the best Joseon king and changed everything and made the country much better than his dad.

I honestly thought at least they’d let these two have a happily ever after. Drama’s need a new tag for viewers, fucking heartbreaking. So we’d be prepared and not get our hopes up
