CORRECTION: We have found only Effect Audio Vogue series and CONX MMCX connectors fit in the recessed MMCX sockets of the IE 300, and not all Effect Audio cables.
Lol, I saw your lachlanlikesathing videos in the past. Didn`t know, that you have this channel. Now years ago.... "Well, I know this voice!" Nice, that you are still reviewing! One of the best!
Great job on the review. Really appreciate mentioning the recessed cables. Checked and it looks like the ALO cables that came with my Campfire's these would replace won't fit. Thanks again!
It’s funny how the 300 and 200 retains that flat spot. The 600 and 900 has it because that’s the base from where they 3D print it or mill it. But the lower 2 are injection molded plastic.
Just so that everyone is aware, the ie 800 driver is also in the top line momentum true wireless earbuds that sennheiser makes. I know this information from a sennheiser insider and good friend of mine.
@@leoyu1070 They are actually all derived from the same 7mm platform and a similar design, but some have more coil loop windings, and the way the enclosure controls the pressure release and air in front and behind the driver makes a significant difference in tuning. This control of air (the medium for sound delivery), level of sophistication of the enclosure, and of course other features such as wireless or ANC (as well as what tuning the market expects at a given price point) are why they sound different. You couldn’t open up a shell of a MTW and make it sound like an IE 800, without rebuilding the shell/acoustic volume.
The Momentum 2 TW's default sound is a bit a bassier with less elevated high frequencies. Soundstaging isn't as good, but quite good for a wireless bud.
Shure aonic 4 or sennheiser ie300? I need good isolation. But i also like bass, micro details and large soundstage.Shure aonic 4 have good isolation ive heard. But the sennheisers are small,so i could use them with the sony xm4 outside with the ie300 inside?
The IE 300 blocks quite a fair bit of sound, about as much as a pair of musician’s earplugs (20 dB overall). Great for long walks and most people, without the extra “pressure” of ANC that may quicken the time to fatigue. However, for performing musicians on stage that need in ear monitors (IEMs) rather than just in ear headphones, the IE 400 Pro has a similar signature but also a tighter fit and more isolation.
Yay it uses a mmcx connector! This means we can replace the cable with something we like! WRONG: the mmcx connector is recessed and it will probably not fit with a standard mmcx cable. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Why Sennheiser, why!
Shure AONIC4 are better musically and the stage is better. The dynamics are excellent. I prefer Shure for many music styles , i prefer for metal and technical death metal!!!
@@sobechance Yes. Аnd connectivity + mids are better!!! The listener is in the center of the stage and the sound picture is around him. Music is more fun at SHURE.
I've tried both the Aonic 4, Aonic, 5, and IE 300 and to ME, the IE 300s just sounds crisper with better, punchy bass. Both Aonics sound recessed, muddy, and bloated. Though the soundstage is absolutely incredible. I heard different instruments and noises I've never heard before when listening but that was ruined by the terrible sound stage.

Sennheiser IE 300 compare to final E5000?
Had mine for a couple of months now and absolutely love them, they're my go to now and the most comfortable IEM's.
I miss your own channels videos but fortunately you're content here is fine too. 👍

Thanks! Yes, from what we have tried, Campfire cables will not fit, nor will Fiio cables.
Do other cables make them sound better ? New to headphones thanks
@@marcosd9636 cables dont change sound
The comparisons are nice, thank you.
Excellentely-detailed review!! Thank you
Great review. Thanks very much. I really appreciate the comparison with the Aonic 4 as well.
Glad it was helpful!

Are these really worth the asking price compared to something like the Moondrop Starfield or iBasso IT01? Thx, really helpful review.
Down to 197 on Amazon!
130$ where I live.
what cable replacement do you advise for IE 300?
i don't care if it's cheap, what's the best pair (in or not in this video) for long term comfort?
I love my HD 800s and my IE 80s, are these better overall compared to the IE 80s? Those are my current favorite in ear headphones for my daily use
If you would like more clarity than the IE 80, the IE 300 is still a bass-strong in ear but more refined all-around.

Probably not, I own both, they sound different

Any thoughts on how they compare to the wireless juggernauts - momentum 2 TW IEMs?

Got the Aonic 4's and sent them back, they sounded pretty muddy with the bass overpowering anything else, wasn't my thing. Back to using my ikko OH1's

Hi! I have earphones that also need longer ear tips. Can you point me to some that are longer than average?
