    Also, for 2024 I'm hoping for a worker grip in mag fed, slide prime, slide locking on empty pistol. Basically a worker version of an updated, perfectly sealed out of the box Firerat, with a far simpler disassembly/tuning process. That would be almost an instant buy from me.

    Great info in here! Recently I had some issues with my darts suddenly not working as consistently, and I think maybe the issue with your bamboos could've been humidity related? I think thats what affected my black HE heavy darts and made them lose accuracy quite significantly overnight. Concordantly, every purple worker heavy dart I bamboo'd myself using the worker bamboo molds, ended up working flawlessly. If you do get the bamboo molds, take your time heating them up with a blowdryer, then letting them fully cool, then heating them up again, three times over. After the third cooling, they pop out easily with a push from the bottom, and hold bamboo rings even better and more pronounced than the ones you can buy pre-molded for you. Just make sure to push the darts out of the molds, not pull by the dart heads, as I learned the hard way it's a good way to ruin a few dart heads permanently.

      I just ordered the Worker metal bamboo molds to see if that will help consistency.

    This is a very good review. Thank you for all the time you put into testing all the different barrel, spring and dart combinations. I received my orange seagull and I used your video to get acquainted with it before I even opened the box. 😊

    Long but informative and thorough, awesome as always. I hope you do some fps vids running this if you get a chance! It looks like it’d be a good fit for the indoor arena in Cincinnati

    I really do appreciate the comprehensive fps testing, although based on my own testing when it came to the Worker Darts I wonder if it would have shot more consistently with the red foam HEs. Outside of using the longer barrel, which was still a bit more inconsistent than I would like with the longer spring, the short one for me was fairly consistent.
    The spring I highly recommend using is the 1.6×250 spring out of the other spring options from Worker, I found it to be the most consistent in terms of fps for both barrels, although I recommend a bcar for the longer barrel.
    Also OoD sells a low power Harrier spring that is supposed to hit just under 150fps in the Harrier so in the Seagull that might bring it down to HvZ level, and if you wanna keep the blaster as short as possible I suggest the MGP CQB stock, adds only 1cm of length.

      Hey thanks for the support! I didn't realize there was a difference between the red and purple Worker HE darts. Interesting.
      I'll definitely check out your spring recommendations! I've also ordered workers metal bamboo molds to see if there is any performance/consistency to be gained there.

      @backyardfoam When it comes to the foam for HEs Black>Red>Purple, from what I've heard from people who's tried Purple HEs they're the worst performers, but I haven't tried it myself cause I still have ptsd from all the purple decaps from back in the day 😅. What I do know for a fact is the black foam is more firm than the reds, but for visibility sake most people I know go with red.

    Wow hands down best review for the seagull!! Not to long just very in depth wich is awesome!!!
    As a noob to foam flinging and buying my first blaster i was leaning towards the harrier and carry a viper for secondary, though you have made me think alot of the benefits of this chip stealing blaster....do you think itll be better for me to get this then the harrier as a all rounder starter? Thanks ya legend

      That's a tough question, I guess it comes down to how you're going to play the game and FPS caps at your events. The Seagull is a fantastic choice because of its price to performance, not to mention the upgrade options out there. The other thing you have to take into consideration is the added cost of magazines and other equipment to run your new blaster.
      For me, when I got back into the hobby, I wanted to play the "sniper" role, so I purchased a Nexus Pro and the various Worker kits, upgraded Spring and long barrel to fill out that loadout. Turns out my preferred play style did not lend itself to that blaster setup. I wouldn't classify myself as a CQB player, but i do enjoy being mobile to help my team out where support is needed.
      My 2nd blaster was the Trion, a much lighter blaster. While I didn't save much on length of the blaster over the Nexus Pro, it did give me a more enjoyable play experience.
      I'm going to a nerf war this weekend where I'll be testing both the Seagull and my Unicorn exclusively. This is for a future video comparing the two blasters. I'll definitely put a community post up of my first impressions where I can go into more detail. This will be my first time fielding the Seagull. The Harrier, on the other hand, reminded me of my Trion and fit my body and play style remarkable well.
      More to come, thanks for the support!

    I was losing my mind when you were talking about the Allen key placement on the buffer tube not being as good as the one on the Harrier because that spot is on this blaster, just under the stock. If you use a normal buffer tube stock, you can use the Allen key holder on the end of the tube. Most people are going to want to use a normal stock anyway because the included stock is booty. Also, the rubber bits on the springs are to reduce the noise of that end when it releases the stored energy and decompresses, which is a great feature.

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah I'm going to do my best to find a solution to improve the included stock, but I'm afraid that it's just going to need to be upgraded in the end. Thanks for the support!

    Have you looked into the red foam worker darts? In my experience the red foam has been a lot more consistent than the purple foam

    • @backyardfoam
      @backyardfoam  8 месяцев назад

      I am starting to get some comments mentioning the difference between the two colors. I just put in an order at OOD for a brand new batch of purple and red. I'm definitely going to be looking into it!
      I've also got the metal bamboo kit coming from Worker so I can test that as well.
      Thanks for the comment and support!

    Great review of the Seagull! I'm curious as to which blaster fires more consistently between the Seagull and Unicorn. Both seem really nice quality but is there a noticeable difference between them at a similar fps in your experience? Which would you prefer if used in CQB and medium or even longer ranges?
