I love, that if it either has to go really fast, or you don't care as much about resources, or you want to use a shiny competitively anyways, you can do that really easily now. Exp candy them to 100, hypertrain them, mint them, use vitamins and dynamax candy, done. Quality of life is so good right now. I don't see why anyone would hack at this point
Well a boomer like me don't like it 😅 Back when I started playing Pokemon in the late 90th and early 00 a shiny Pokemon was AMAZING. You felt really special if you had one. Now it's like Meh
I absolutely love sword and shield competitive, because it now isn't about breeding for a competitive mon, but you are actually training them. Even if it ends up being more expensive, and a bit time consuming for getting materials, I still really like this more than breeding them.
It actually is pretty good for someone like me. I still haven’t even started the champion’s ballad from botw so I switch between the games and do poke jobs when I’m playing say botw
I stopped playing Shield competitive when getting EV's and IV's was a big pain. I didn't realise the Isle of Armour had a much better way of getting them!
Thank u Verlisify keep up the awesome work you're doing great. This is the greatest video ever for a pokemon trainer like my teammates and I to be top trainers like u Verlisify. You continue to make my teammates and I smile though your awesome videos thank u once again Verlisify your truely a pokemon professor and arceus gift to pokemon trainer all over the pokemon world thank u.
Good stuff, Verlis! I was just thinking of looking at the teambuilding guides again. The other day I caught and trained up a competitive Pokémon for the first time in years, and the Isle of Armor really helped me to get that started. I love having the different options for that process. Just have to go to the Digging Duo more often. :)
Bruh I’ve been dying to get into the competitive scene but the whole process was difficult to me especially the ev/iv but now I’m finding out about videos for mints after I found one now I want to make competitive builds from breeding and training. So many Pokémon that I’ve missed out on because I didn’t know how to run their move set or how to train their stats, or trust others to not screw me out of my trades or steal mon I’m trying to trade evolve. If anyone is looking to make friends let me know I’m currently without the Nintendo WiFi but I will message you here when I find out just comment under here and we can exchange friend codes and others can do so if you want to add someone just message under their code
So from what I gather is THIS is the order I should ALWAYS train my pokemon? -- New Pokemon > Change Ability if necessary? with the Ability Change capsule? > Change Nature if necessary with Mints? > Level to 100 regardless of IV's > Hyper Train the stats it lacks > Vitamin to what it needs. ( 25 Vitamin = 250 EV points ) > Give it the desirable moves for Pokemon. Someone correct me if that's wrong
You keep on saying its super easy, but as someone who has never actually gotten into competitive pokemon, this sounds unbelievably complicated. Hopefully I can pick up on it.
Between a male and female Pokémon of the same species one of them has to have the hidden ability for it to be passed down. Male parents with the hidden ability are less likely to pass down than female parents.
Game freak is making it easier and easier to get competitive pokemon this generation between the exp candy, cheaper EV vitamins and battle tower items, craftable items like bottle caps ,gold bottle caps, and battle items, genners and hackers have no excuse, game freak has done all but hand us competitive Pokemon
I’m training up a gibble I hatched with almost all perfect stats and I changed its nature to its best, I’m planning to have dragon dance and earthquake which other moves should I use
Slaps jolly mold breaker haxorus with iron tail outspeeds mimikyu by 1 point and one shots it through disguise. Focus sash excadrill can survive a hit then one shot through disguise with iron head
Hmm just curious on the ev screen why is yours white?, did I make a mistake ? Because mine is color dark yellow but shiny stars show just like yours just different color
I have some extra 5 IV dittos from the raid event a couple months ago. if anyone needs a certain one Id gladly help out. Living SwSh dex is complete so I wont require anything special.
Thought I might brush up a little more, get few more tips, I think my struggle is I’m not sure which Pokemon I want to use, I been using lickilicky just I feel I could do with some studying on building a team with a good structure i think, I normally just use the Pokemon Cuz I like it I’ve looked it up and liked just try slap it on a team together or something. I feel that’s something I learned about that, it is best to keep some of the legacy moves, like I’m definately keepin the move set I’ve had on my legacy umbreon, I should bring it over battle with you guys with it some time, good to avoid that dude if I don’t want it to be deleted but same time if I want it cleared I should, but it is definitely worth keeping them And I see maybe if I’m not to sure I could always pick up 6 mons and get them perhaps to lv 100 then give em some moves. But I should give a bit of a plan build round the couple of Pokemon I have in mind.
Holy moly all the quality of life features in this gen of games.
As a casual since like gen 4 I really appreciate how easy competitive is to get into

I’m only 5 minutes in and I’m already so happy. This is exactly the video I’ve been looking for all day! Thank you for it!!
Building mons is actually so easy now
Yet people still wanna hack 🤷🏽♂️
Have two boxes full :) never had so much :D
@@ikp1697 Yeah, but candies and hyper training make that so much easier.

Extremely well made video, especially the intro. It's obvious someone's happy to be making guides again.
Thank you, I've been looking for a reliable terrain setter for an idea I had with the steam roller move
ROADROLLERDA
I appreciate this guide so much since I don't have a clue on how to make my pokemon battle ready at all😂😂
Me who’s lazy I’ll just give every one a 24 job for 3 days in a row
You're not actually waiting 3 days cuz :v
that's hella inefficient :w
It actually is pretty good for someone like me. I still haven’t even started the champion’s ballad from botw so I switch between the games and do poke jobs when I’m playing say botw
ZT but you could just do the time glitch so the jobs are instantly completed .-.
I know but I also play acnh for stalk market which is baaaaaad for time travelling

Thank you verlis I've wanted to make competitive mons for a while and this video has properly shown me how
This is awesome. Thank you! Now if only I could come up with a good team.
I stopped playing Shield competitive when getting EV's and IV's was a big pain. I didn't realise the Isle of Armour had a much better way of getting them!
This is (by far) the best competitive guide that I've seen on RUclips
I don't think its my best
@@Verlisify well to me it is
agreed
One of the best helpful videos on Pokémon sword and shield for intermediate and beginners and new to the game itself
What are the chances of that? I just made my Rillaboom all competitive haha. 😅
Hey you, what are you doing here?! 😂😂
But that's not genning, you're going to confuse the competitive community Verlisify.
This is my favourite comment right here
@@kosmicwaffle the saddest part is, even with this streamlined, in game method, top players I guarentee, will still just gen.
Cringe
Super thorough, awesome guide man!
Transferring egg moves is also a huge plus! Thank you gamefreak
can’t watch ANY other guide now. truly the best one out there! 😇😊

Yeah. Skip and steps covered by Breeding/Hyper training
Thank you for quick run through of novice content it helped me get my team to where I want it!
Lmao just noticed the Trans Rights box
I see what you did there
This'll be helpful since I flopped so bad in the players cup II

Thx so much this will help me beat my brother in link battles so thx so much!!!!
just wanted to do this, thanks mate!
Great vid PokéSensei!
Does anyone know the chance of haching a hidden ability mon without the parents having it? Like if i wanted to hatch a libero scorbunny
Between a male and female Pokémon of the same species one of them has to have the hidden ability for it to be passed down. Male parents with the hidden ability are less likely to pass down than female parents.
Where do I go to compete with them though in tourneys and stuff?
lol this guide is meant for ranked n normal battles. tourneys as well!
Sword & Shield is such a great Pokemon game!
*are
This is going to all of my frirnds starting competitive
Wait, is alolan muk back? I want a power of alchemy muk lol
thank you!!
This is wonderful!
Is there any way to see what is the original ivs of a pokemon that has been hyper trained?
Thanks verlis 👍👍👍👍👍

yeah they just hide everything behind hidden abilities so you have to learn how to breed and the complexities of that or pay a breeder.
ty!
Also can use cram o matic to make bottle caps and gold bottle caps
I’m training up a gibble I hatched with almost all perfect stats and I changed its nature to its best, I’m planning to have dragon dance and earthquake which other moves should I use
So do I want to get my Pokémon to lvl 100 first?
I’m finally getting back into Pokémon comp and literally EVERY team I see has dracovish, dragapult, and mimikyu. What would the best counters be?
Kyurem for dracovish
Tyranitar for dragapult
Most steel types for mimikyu but scizor is the best.
Maria Dedios is Kyurem allowed in ranked?
Slaps jolly mold breaker haxorus with iron tail outspeeds mimikyu by 1 point and one shots it through disguise. Focus sash excadrill can survive a hit then one shot through disguise with iron head
Choice scarf vanilluxe with freeze dry also destroys dracovish
Hmm just curious on the ev screen why is yours white?, did I make a mistake ? Because mine is color dark yellow but shiny stars show just like yours just different color
Can you use it in competitive online? Thanks

How did you get 3000 BP?
Buying pokeballs from wild merchants
Rillaboom sauce
I like to grind with my pokemon to have a bond lol
Great vid. Does friendship matter in online batteling?
Not anymore. Return got removed
Is pokemon on the 3ds dead now ? If so all those pokemon I spent hours getting perfect IVs and EV trained and nature are dead 2 me
You can still move them to the switch through pokemon home

There is place to change nature of pkms?
