I really needed to hear this today! Especially the masking part. I'm always afraid of being the "employee with all the health problems". But I'm getting better with talking to my employers.
That's great. Yes, disclosing doesn't always have to be a negative. It's how you frame your words, requests, and such. Advocating clearly and positivly is a gianed skill that takes practice.
Thank you for Sharing. This is extremely useful information as a mom and wife of people with sight loss. The third point was pretty transforming for me
Hey girl! These were awesome tips. Thank you so much for sharing! I just subscribed to your channel and I look forward to watching your videos. I also have a RUclips channel but I talk motherhood, cleaning and organizing, homeschooling, and more. I’m visually impaired but I have never disclosed that on my channel just because it’s not relevant to anything I talk about but maybe sometime I will.😃
Hi! Oh, I will have to check out your channel! I started out posting as a blind mom and sharing tips and hacks. Still post those from time to time, but i'm branching out too. Thanks for connecting!
@@SeeingBlind Yes, that is awesome! I actually found you while I was scrolling through my TikTok! I love the tips by the way. I’ve only been on RUclips for a few months. I talk about a lot of motherhood content as well but like I said I have never talked about my vision loss. Not for any reason, just purely because it has not really came up in any of my videos. It’s great to connect with another relatable mom though!😀
BIG question!! I just posted on another one of your posts... Sorry 😕 I'm a new follower, my husband was diagnosed with stargardts. My husband says wearing sunglasses make it much harder for him to see. He won't wear them being outside because of that. Even though he was told otherwise and knows sunglasses will protect his eyes. Any suggestions??? Thanks
