I'm a musician and have seen hundreds of concerts. The indigo girls live performance, cosmic energy and vocals were at the top of the list. It was truly my pleasure to see a performance of this talent, sincerity and magnitude!
Bought thier 1st album. It was huge. Makes me remember being young, CD's and collecting them. Thier anthems are apart of my journey! Powerful and Pure! ❤ ❤
It's sad that the stellar Indigo Girls went under too many people's radars however, they remain a lesser-known but immensely joyful treasure to those of us that adore them. Amazing careers. Bravo and big love to you Indigo Girls.
Indigo Girls have been a tremendous part of my life since I walked into a bar (I do not remember the name) in Little Five Points, Atlanta GA "looking for solace in a bottle or possibly a friend"(s). I met them there and I was sold! I have followed them ever since. Rarely does a day go by that I do not sing or think about the lyrics to their one of their passionate ballads. They will always be 1st on my playlist. Their music can ignite my adrenaline or take me to a safe place where I can be me. Their talent knows no limits, I am always amazed at their ability to play numerous instruments, switch from a Native American theme (Bury my heart at Wounded Knee), a tribute to Virginia Wolf and Galileo, a heart wrenching cry to Jesus, a blast from the past (Tangled up in blue and Get Together). I can go on and on. Most recent, a folk band playing with a symphony orchestra! Who would have thunk? They have remained together as well as pursued solo careers. Their passion for activism has changed lives and inspired others. They are true humanitarians. I saw them at Chastain Park (Atlanta., GA) on Earth Day many moons ago. I even saw them on David Letterman! Can you tell I am a fan? I am trying to get a group together to see them in Athens or Greenville, SC. I cannot wait to see what's next!!!! Thank you Amy and Emily for being a part of my life. ☮️❤️🙂
I'm an Aussie I know a lot of people love these two. Incredible, plus I had the privilege of going to their concert in Melbourne Australia. With love xxx
This isn’t rock it’s art. They deliver from such depth. I saw them in Indianapolis in 95 or so. I remember walking away thinking to myself, “these girls produce magic.”
I got turned on to the Indigo Girls from my older sister, and now this guy cannot get enough of real talent and also many others from the lillith fair days which I missed out on!! Thanks for the music !!!
I had the pleasure of seeing them at Starlight outdoor ampitheatre in Kansas City, Missouri about 30 years ago. Wow, it doesn't seem like that long ago, but it was 1990, I think. It was a magical starry night. They sounded perfect, every note was spot on. I have been to hundreds of concerts, and theirs has always remained in my top three favorites. Their music is so pure, the acoustics are perfect and their harmonies blend so well together. Other bands can't do that with 10 people, and tons of other electronic crap on the stage with them. Hope they continue to forever bless us with their music.
The best band ever !! What these women do musically, lyrically and environmentally is just epic. Been a fan since their first album and will be a fan til the day I die. Love u Amy and Emily. ❤️
Just an amazing duo, thank you for sharing, such beautiful music, with great meaning and thinking. Reminded of what a sensation they were when they emerged in the 90s, and going strong today. Music aged well, the real mark of transcendence.
They were always so flawless. I saw them for the 1st time live at an amphitheatre in 1991. I am so glad I saw them then and through the 90's. I loved our 90s music.
I know--I loved just bringing blankets and sitting on the grass and dancing around with a bunch of strangers! Sooooo much more interesting than nosebleed bucket seats for people like Prince, U2, or Paul.
Emily was doing killer guitar solos on "Chickenman" twenty years ago. I've never heard two that were really alike. And their vocal harmonies on the end of "Chickenman" are really wonderful.
I can't help myself when they sing Kid Fears and Emily sings the counterpoint vocal at 24:12.. 'Replace the rent with the stars above!' I cry every time!😮
I saw these girls in Melbourne, Australia many years ago. It was such a basic set up but still remains one of my favourite concerts of all time due to the superb vocals and great songs. Thanks so much for sharing this. xxx
Wow. Oh my Lord. Indigo Girls! Thank you 🙏 Lord for these ladies. I am new to their act and what it is they do. They bring me to tears 😭. I feel “closer to fine”, yeah, learning and listening to their archival songs. In fact, after hearing their live double album from 1995 or 1996, this past week in June of 2020, I am on my way to Streetlight Records here in Nor. California to purchase each and every album that I can get my hands on and if it were not for this Covid 19 debacle I would have seen them live for the first time at “The Mt. Winery” in Saratoga, CA this past May for the first time, except the concert was delayed or put off due to Covid issues😷. This 1994 Bridge School Festival footage of these two ladies. Clearly Neil Young knows some real talent when he see’s it. Wow! Was that really just two musicians on stage? No bass player or drummer? Damn. That is some impressive talent on display. Those harmonies are sublime and even surreal. Ladies, aka Indigo Girls- thank you for all you have done and for staying with it for this long despite your differences, as we all have. Can’t wait to see you live post Covid “cookoo-ness”. All the best. Keep on being true to your highest selves and one day, perhaps, one of us will attain that level of “highest human state” aka divinity. 🌹🌈💫
Thanks for posting this. Great concert. Also, they were so young!! I saw them in Greenville, SC from the 3rd row in 1994, and they opened with American Tune.

Amy is amazing... I wonder if she realizes the effect she has with that young cute haircut, when she reaches out and clasps air on Chickenman... Well, let's just say she may as well have been actually clutching my heart.
A.J. Palumbo Center, Pittsburgh, PA, that same tour -- my first show. Wow, they were good back then. They still are really good, but not like when they were young.
