It’s important for LSU that they don’t try to pass down all of CEH’s responsibilities to the two freshman RBs. CEH reads defenses, understands his blocking assignments, understands route concepts, doesn’t need to be told what to do b4 the snap, and catches the ball smoothly. In addition to a bunch of stuff I don’t know about. The two freshman backs aren’t mentally ready to do those things play after play with little to no errors. It’s not that they can’t physically do it... it’s the consistent accountability to where the coach and the QB know Clyde’s gonna take care of it and they can spend time thinking about how to attack the defense. Ty Price and John Emery has other elite talents so... the staff needs to focus on spreading CEH’s responsibilities out to other players leaving less for the freshman to have learn and spend time scheming to weaponize the talents the two freshman backs possess. He didnt start until week 7 after joseph addia and the 2nd string got hurt, but he had a break out year and did work in the sec championship with like 4 tds! Ended the season with 1,000+ yrds 10 tds ,but you right he was 3rd string back at the start of the season and ended up being the MVP in SEC champ & Nat championship!

Emery's problem this year was he almost got Burrow killed against Florida in the 3rd Q in pass protection and barely saw the field with Burrow after that. That will be the area to watch him in on Saturday.
Brennan will have a serious meeting of the minds with these young RBs on this pass protection stuff. He'll probably have to spend a little Xtra time with them to make sure they're seeing the right things. Chris Curry doesn't quite have the vision of TDP or Emery from what I've seen. He's too aggressive at times versus making the easy cuts you see/need in zone runs that will pick up 5 more yards. I'm sure Murf could and will correct me if I'm wrong.
